Really enjoyed this little book published in 1965. Jack Paar was not well known to me as I was so young when he was on TV, but I knew of his name. His humor and stories are lots of fun, and there is historical significance in this book when he writes of meeting Albert Schweitzer at his hospital in Africa, and of the young JFK’s rescue in the South Pacific.

Travel the globe with Paar. Visit Africa, The French Polynesia, and islands of the Pacific. Visit the islanders that saved PT 109 and Albert Schweitzer. Schweitzer was slightly off his rocker but what the hell.
I know that reading and watching Jack Paar fed my love of travel. Everywhere he went became so interesting and exciting even when things didn't go quite as planned. His quirkiness made everything worthwhile exploring.
