This is the final book in the Women of Justice series. This one features Kit Kenyon the last of the three sisters. I found this book to be very similar to the second book in the series, Don't Look Back. I was disappointed that it was also about a serial killer and had the same creepy feeling of the second book. Once again I was also able to figure out who the villain was about halfway through the book. It is well written but it seems that Eason's books have gotten gorier and the faith thread is not as strong as in the previous books of hers that I have read.

If you don't mind somewhat gory, creepy suspense then you would probably enjoy this book.

This was my favorite book from this series! It was exciting, sweet, full of action…all around awesome. And not quite as much gory detail (to be blunt) as some of the books had. My favorite of the three…I highly recommend it!

Lynette Eason’s A Killer Among Us is a thrilling story filled with intrigue and suspense. I love mysteries and this one definitely kept my attention. i have been drawn to Lynette Easons novels because they are faith based. Theres just something heavy and depressing about murder novels without faith in God. Yes, they may catch the killer but they have no hope for the future. Her books always point to Jesus.

I will say, I knew who the killer was about 10% in. But to say that a book kept me interested even after I knew who the villain was, is quite an accomplishment. I loved Noah’s character. Kit? Not so much. I just didn’t connect with her. And their “romance” was short-lived and kind of just…thrown in there? That disappointed me a little.

As far as the plot line goes, it was a little dark. I would definitely say that anyone under the age of 14 should probably ask their parents to do a proof read. I don’t want to spoil it totally, but I will expand on the description a little. There is a serial killer and he has to kill in 3s. The killer targets people that have disrespected him and proceeds to kill them and cut off the body part that he was disrespected by. For example, one young man rolled his eyes at the killer so he cut out one of his eyes.

One of the things I disliked was the fact that there was no suspect list. And there was also a specific piece of evidence that “bugged” them but they didn’t ask about it until the very end of the book and it blew the case wide open. WHY DIDNT YOU ASK ABOUT IT IN THE BEGINNING??? That frustrated me a little as you can tell. I just mean, their detectives. Thats their job. They should’ve dealt with it when their instincts pointed it out.

But overall, it was good and I liked it and I would recommend to people new to murder mysteries. But if you’re a seasoned murder reader, this book might seem *clears throat* “elementary, my dear Watson”

Like and comment:) I would love to hear your thoughts!

4.5 stars.

A sicko decides he's better than everyone else and begins to administer "justice" to those who offend him. And then he decides that Kit would be the perfect wife for him.

Kit is getting to know her newfound sisters and settling in with a new partner on the police force. She is coming to grips with learning that her mother is an adoptive mother, and she's gotten suspicious of God from the shock of finding a birth family. And, of course, the last thing she needs is a serial killer focusing on her...and putting her sister and her sister's child in danger all over again. Can they stop the killer before he kills again?

Again, some grammatical/editorial issues...who's for whose, nauseous for nauseated, and sentence fragments. And a few more loose ends...the book needed a bit more detail added in. Otherwise a great end to the series!

This is the 3rd book in the Women of Justice series and this one features the last of the Kenyon sisters. Faith doesn't appear as much in this book and the series is definitely getting gorier, both of which are fine with me. I believe it's the last in this particular series. If you've read the previous two you will know the process of these books as it doesn't change much. Another good read full of twists

I loved this book so much!!! A very suspenseful, well-written, and with a touch-of-romance Christian book. I enjoyed this book but I did like the second one a little more. I would recommend to 15 and older for some midly graphic descriptions of murders.

Review on my blog (to be posted 3/21): http://christianbookshelfreviews.blog...

A Killer Among Us, the final book in the Women of Justice series, is the fifth book I've read by Lynette Eason and another great suspense read! I loved the two main characters, Kit and Noah, but I think Jamie and Dakota (from book two, Don't Look Back) are still my favorite couple in the series with these two being a close second. :)

The suspense was really good and some of the things the killer did were just so twisted! Even though I did guess who the killer was early on in A Killer Among Us, there were still quite a few nail-biting scenes.

I have to say, one thing that slightly annoyed me with A Killer Among Us was when Kit would do foolish things (like going somewhere alone when she knew someone was after her). Those types of things always seem to frustrate me.

The romance was really sweet and I loved how the main characters from books 1 & 2 were in A Killer Among Us.

Overall, I loved A Killer Among Us and recommend it if you enjoy romantic suspense novels with some creepy elements. Great read!

One-by-one law students are dying. Hostage negiotiator Kit Kenyon and her partner, Detective Noah Lambert, must hunt the serial killer known only as The Judge. With a few pieces of confusing evidence as their leads in the case, Kit and Noah struggle to stay safe when they become The Judge's next targets. Kit and Noah are targeted for two completely different purposes, but as they devote time and energy to finding the person behind the killings, they discover there is more than a common goal between them. Grisly murders, recently discovered family issues, and her attractive partner keep Kit's mind occupied. Will they find The Judge before he finds them? Can she ever forgive her mother for the past? And will both of them live long enough to consider more than a working relationship?

I enjoyed A Killer Among Us by Lynette Eason. The plot's pace was perfect – not crazy fast, but not boringly slow. As the evidence grew, so did the twists of the plot and the sense of suspense. The characters were well-written, especially Noah Lambert. He managed to be the hero that is often prevalent in Christian fiction, but not in a preachy or stereotypical way. I was pleasantly surprised by the amount of romance in the book. Most crime fiction I've read has a only a hint of romance. A Killer Among Us, while not an over-the-top romance, had lovely little romantic moments that led to a beautiful ending.

A Killer Among Us by Lynette Eason is quite descriptive and therefore more poignant than other comparable Christian suspense books. I actually got creeped out during some of the scenes involving The Judge. Because of that, I would not recommend this book to anyone under the age of fifteen. However, if you can handle some gruesome details and a few minutes in the mind of a deranged serial killer, you will probably enjoy this crime suspense novel. Despite the creepiness, I would read it again.

Okay...first of all, the title of this book. "A Killer Among Us". Come on, every single book in this series had a killer. This title didn't fit the book correctly.
It was also lacking everything that the other 2 had. It needed a better plot, and better bad guy. Kit and Noah were good partners, but Edward A.K.A The Judge wasn't the correct villain for the story. I didn't understand why he was so mad at people that he had to go and kill them....it was an immature plot.
It took me awhile to find out who The Judge was, but I started putting pieces together toward the end.

My Favs:
1) Don't look back (Book 2) *****
2) Too Close to Home (Book 1) *****
3) A Killer Among us (Book 3) ****

On one hand I enjoyed the mystery on through other hand I was frustrated with the ending and the build up that didn't seem to go anywhere.
I was more interested in Noah's backstory during the last 5% of the book than almost anything to do with Kit...lol...

Characters:
Kit was an okay character and realizes at like the end of the book how self centered she'd been...I would have liked to have seen her come to that realization sooner.
Noah was a fantastic guy! I wanted more of him, more of his backstory, and really about him in general. *sighs*
It was nice seeing all the characters from the previous books again.

Romance:
A slow friends to lovers.

Language:
N/A

Violence/Gore:
There are several murders, hostage negotiation scenes, and mentions of previous injuries and bomb explosions. The murders are a bit gruesome but not overall described.

Overall:
This was a pretty good end to the series and I enjoyed it for the most part. Though I did feel like we had a lot of build up with the Judge wanting Noah out of the way but that was never fulfilled.
But still an enjoyable read.

A Killer Among Us is book three in the Women of Justice series by Lynette Eason. On the first day, that Hostage negotiator Kit Kenyon and Noah Lambert become new partners they caught a nasty case. The readers of A Killer Among Us will continue to follow the twists and turns in Kit Kenyon and Noah Lambert investigation to find out what happens.

A Killer Among Us is the second book I have read of Lynette Eason, and I enjoyed reading this book. I engaged with the text from the first page, and I was unable to put the book down until the last page. I love Lynette Eason portrayal of her characters and the way they intertwine with each other throughout this book. I like the way Lynette incorporate the Christian ideas in the plot of this book. A Killer Among Us is well written and researched by Lynette Eason. Lynette Eason excellently does the settings of A Killer Among Us in a way that complemented the plot of this book.

The readers of A Killer Among Us will learn about the consequences of bouncing children around the foster care system. Also, the readers of A Killer Among Us will understand the importance of telling the truth.

I recommend this book.

Interesting and suspenseful police procedural storyline!

Some intense plot events along with a lot of twists!

The mystery of the antagonist is hidden well, and keeps the reader guessing!

Fast paced action coupled with clean romance of the two protagonists!

The two main protagonists are round and dynamic, very engaging characters!

Electrifying climax and very satisfying denouement!

My only regret is that this is the third installment in this series. Ms. Eason seems to do three installments in her numerous series. I do wish the saga of Kit and Noah would continue!

This is the first book I’ve read in this series, yet it was #3 in the Women of Justice Series. This could easily be a stand alone.

I look forward to reading more of this prolific writer!

Oh my goodness! I loved this one so much! I really really loved this one! Truly, the whole series was amazing and I’m honestly not sure which book of the three is my favorite, they were all just so dang good! 💕 I really think this might be my favorite series of Lynette Eason’s books!

I LOVED Noah! 😍 his faith, protectiveness, flirtiness with Kit 😍😍🔥😍, just plain adorableness, and so much more that I can’t even name because I just love him so much! 🥰 and Kit! I ended up loving her character SO MUCH! I wasn’t sure how much I would based on how we met her in book 2, but oh my goodness I did! And Noah and Kit together?! 😍😍🔥😍🥰🥰😍💕😍😍😂🥰💕😍🥰 so perfect!

Another five star read from Lynette Eason! 💕

The third and final book in the series about three siblings. This one features Kit who is Jamie’s twin who was adopted out at birth. She had some emotional hang ups to deal with but she definitely doesn’t let it hinder her when it comes to doing her job if helping her partner Noah hunt down a psychopathic serial killer. I enjoyed this book and the whole series. Lynette Eason is a great author and I recommend her books to all fans of romantic suspense.

I thought this was a great ending to a great series. I would have liked to have more of a story between Kit and her Ma, but I did enjoy the mystery. I had a couple of guesses who the judge was and when it was revealed in the end, I was not to surprised.

WOW! I loved, loved, LOVED this book!!! I found it nearly impossible to put down! While this is the first book I have read by Lynette—and the third in a series—I was instantly caught up in the drama and while enough backstory was given so I was never confused, I am now itching to get the two previous books and read of Samantha and Jamie’s adventures in detail! By the time I got to the end of this book, Lynette Eason was firmly written in my list of favorite authors, and A Killer Among Us is now sitting on my “favorites” shelf.

Lynette has some awesome, strong characters! I tried to pick my favorite…but they are all so wonderful! Kit, Noah, Samantha, Connor, Dakota, Jamie...everyone! The Women of Justice series has an amazing cast of characters that you will NOT forget! The two that A Killer Among Us focuses on, Kit and Noah, will instantly grab your heartstrings and not let go. I fell in love with the two! Kit is a brave heroine that I respected and I loved how she didn't have the 'I don't need a man, I'm tough enough to take care of myself' attitude. She was tough, but she respected Noah and relied on him as a partner. Noah made an awesome hero! Totally loved his ‘hard on the outside but sweet on the inside’ personality. My kind of guy!

The storyline was intense. Jumping from one murder scene to the other, the reader never had time to grow bored. Oh no! Not for one minute! I did have a hunch as to who the serial killer was, and was so excited when my hunch proved correct in the end. I love a good mystery! The sweet story between Kit and Noah only adds to this books awesomeness. Never overpowering the mystery or suspense (which is exactly how I like my suspense books) it still had enough tension between these two characters as they each struggled with feelings from their past and each other. While some might think that knowing a person for a little over a month is way too short to be thinking of marriage, when I read all the things they went through in this book, I was not surprised.

I always love a writer who can get me right into the characters head, making me think, feel, and react to exactly what that character is going through…and Lynette did just that! Her writing style was engaging and direct, bringing vividly to life Kit and Noah’s surroundings and emotions. This being a crime thriller where they are tracking down a serial killer, it's obvious that there will be a bit of violence, blood, and gore in here. But it wasn't that bad. At least, not for me. :-) There is once when Kit and Noah uncover that there is an affair going on between two people, and anther time where they discover students using drugs to get through law school...but that was it, as far as questionable content goes. The author handled it well and, as long as the reader is okay with gory scenes, I consider this a very clean book.

I could rant and rave about this wonderful suspense book all day, but let me wrap up in saying…GET THIS BOOK! I am a big lover of suspense, so if that is your favorite genre also, I highly recommend Lynette Eason’s A Killer Among Us! It is well worth the money spent to buy this book!

Having enjoyed Lynette Eason’s first book in the Women of Justice series, Too Close to Home, I was excited to have an opportunity to listen to the third book of the series, A Killer Among Us. Those that have read my reviews in the past and are familiar with me are probably wondering how in the world I chose to do that without reading the second book of the series. I will very likely go back and read that someday, but skipping that book didn’t take away from my enjoyment of A Killer Among Us.

The same things I loved about the earlier book, were alive and well here. For example:
*A strong heroine – Kit was downright stubborn at times which actually made her charming and gutsy. As far as her professional life is concerned, she fits the law enforcement bill perfectly. Personally, she is on a bit of shaky ground as she recently discovered things about her family she needed time to digest. Even so, she is “all in” for her case and in her new relationships.
*A genuine hero – Noah, Kit’s new partner, doesn’t know what to think of Kit. But his genuine interest in her as a colleague and a woman was so sweet. I was intrigued by his character and couldn’t help but cheer him on in the case and in his interest in Kit, the woman. My favorite aspect of Noah was his faith and how he shared it with others that seemed to need it.
*Key secondary characters – I was thrilled to get glimpses of what was going on with characters that I read about in Too Close to Home.

A Killer Among Us had a great mystery to it. I didn’t realize until late who the actual murderer was and that is important to me when reading this genre. Many details were involved and many murders in a short amount of time. Sometimes it was almost hard to believe that all of the activity that was happening throughout the book could happen in such quick succession, yet the pacing felt good throughout.

I listened to the audiobook version of A Killer Among Us. The narration by Kate Zane was very enjoyable.

Rating: B

Oh. My. Gosh!! 😭😭🫶🫶❤️❤️ I absolutely loved this book!!! My favorite of the series, and it might even be one of my top favorites of all time! I did not want this book to end! When I reached the climax, I was afraid to read it because I didn’t want to finish the book and the series. That’s why it took me four days to read forty pages LOL. 😂 Not only was the suspense amazingly thrilling, but the romance… CHEFS KISS!!👩‍🍳💋
Noah and Kit literally knew each other for three weeks and knew they were in love, but it worked perfectly. The fact that they were professional partners and tried to push aside their feelings is one of the reasons why I adored this book. They both had their own tough pasts which also made it so hard to put this book down. As soon as I started reading it, it was so hard to stop!!
But anyway, the suspense was great. I am especially proud of myself for guessing the “Judge” within the first few chapters. His psychotic mind made the book a lot more interesting and unpredictable. Now, because of his evil deeds, this book may seem more intense, but the main picture is revealed without too many disturbing details. Additionally, the fact that not only Kit was the target but Noah too made this so exhilarating!! Like, why are they both being targeted??
HOWEVER, I was mainly here for the romance LOL. Usually I’m invested in the romance and the suspense, but something about Noah and Kit made me attracted to their story. Maybe it was their partnership, personalities, past, or actions, but I was INVESTED! And I am not disappointed in the SLIGHTEST bit! 💕🫶
The ending was actually crazy. I’m a sucker for a story that ends with a “guy saves girl” kind of thing so I was SO HAPPY when it turned out kinda like that. Also, I loved the mention of past characters. 👌 We got a good amount of Conner, Sam, Jamie, and Andy (🥺), and a bit of Dakota. If you’re wondering what they’ve been up to, you definitely find out. 🤭😱
Now, Kit’s spiritual breakthrough was so real, beautiful, and raw. I felt that emotion to my heart and I am grateful Lynette Eason captured that emotion the way she did.
There were so many times where I was giggling, blushing, wide eyed, and almost crying. I THOUGHT the ending would be rushed but it was actually PERFECT! 😍 Like, the dialogue, actions, setting, and overall MOOD just hit. 😮‍💨 ADDITIONALLY, the climax was so so (x100) so good!! It ended with me absolutely stunned, and the last page almost had me tearing up. Not only cuz the book was over, but because it was just so sweet. 🥹
So I don’t think I’ve ever written such a crazy review, so I guess that goes to show how much I LOVED this book. Am I overreacting a little? Maybe. But I loved A Killer Among Us and will not hold back. 🥰
To wrap up this review, I’m going to say that my order of this series goes:
1. A Killer Among Us
2. Too Close To Home
3. and Don’t Look Back
But all of the books were great and I was fully invested in each. TOTALLY recommend!!!!

It is hard to say anything but good stuff about this novel. I am going to say this again, I have had the pleasure and the honor of saying it a few times this week; I enjoyed interviewing Lynette Eason on my blogtalk show, The G-ZONE,here is the link:
http://www.blogtalkradio.com/gelatiss...
If you tune into the show, you will gain some insights into the novel as I ask some pretty tough questions and get to the real heart of the matter with her. You will get the skinny on this intense and enjoyable read. Here is what the novel has in store for you:
“Kit Kenyon is a first-rate hostage negotiator. Noah Lambert is a good detective with excellent instincts. The new partners have hardly had time to get used to each other when they are thrown into a grisly murder case. As evidence mounts up and more victims are found, Kit and Noah realize they are on the hunt for a serial killer. The problem is, he's hunting one of them too.
With nail-biting suspense, clever plot twists, and a hint of sweet romance, A Killer Among Us is the latest thriller from Lynette Eason. It will keep readers up late as they race to discover the killer--and whether Kit and Noah will live to tell about it.”
What are thoughts on the read you ask? You don’t have time to listen to me yap with Lynette? Okay I was totally enamored with the characters, loved her narrative, and enjoyed the prose. I am a sucker for character driven fiction, you know that by now, and this is just that, really good character driven fiction. The thing that also makes me smile as I read this is the Christian bend to it. I love it! How she and other authors of this publisher can carry this off time and time again is just amazing. I applaud them; my ball cap is off to them, and I want to read more of their work. Top to bottom top notch work, not a bummer in the bunch; I don’t hesitate to suggest this read. Enjoy !!
Things have changed around here. I am now the published author by Trestle Press of “Down Low- Dead” with Vincent Zandri, “The Jersey Shore Has Eyes” with Big Daddy Abel”, “G.S.I Gelati’s Scoop Investigations Psychotic Detectives” with Thomas White, “Who Whacked The Blogger” with Benjamin Sobieck, and the soon to be released “Thad and The G-Man’s Most Awesome Adventure” with Thad Brown and “Hotel Beaumont” with B.R. Stateham. All the stories are available @ Amazon, Barnes & Nobles and Smashwords. I am also the host of the wildly popular The G-ZONE blogtalk radio show. If only all Christian suspense books were like this one. It was just so good. For the sake of time, I am going to break down this review into three categories which I will discuss further in depth: romance, faith, and mystery.

When reading books in the same genre as A Killer Among Us, I often find one of my biggest complaints to be that I didn’t like how much romance was in the book. Romance is a touchy thing with me as I like a little but not too much. I feel like this book offered the perfect balance. There wasn’t too much romance and, when there was, it was really well done. I especially appreciate how we are briefly shown how Noah struggled with lust and desires even though he made the commitment to save intimacy for marriage. This is a realistic and relatable struggle that I admire the author for acknowledging. In many books with romance, I also dislike when characters try to hide their feelings from one another and take too long to express how they feel so I liked how the two main characters of this book didn’t seem to have this annoying issue; they openly talked about their relationship and expressed their feelings.

Also, after reading a so-called “Christian” fiction book, I tend to complain a lot about how there isn’t enough faith content and, when there is, it’s weak. I am glad to report that I did not have that problem with this one. Faith was mentioned often and it is clear the characters are genuinely longing for a close connection to God. I also liked how we get to see Noah telling others of Christ and explaining to people that following Him is not a religion but a relationship.

Now, on to the biggest component of the book: the mystery. I will say I had a suspicion about who the serial killer was — which turned out to be correct — but it wasn’t a strong suspicion. It still surprised me when I found out as I kind of reasoned in my head that this person couldn’t be the killer. This book had my wheels turning, trying to figure out who the killer could be. When I read some suspense books, I don’t even bother trying to figure it out because it is just so obvious but I did not have that problem with this one.

Lastly, I want to mention how much I appreciate that the dedication page in Lynette Eason’s books are always (at least to my knowledge) to Jesus. I just think this is such a sweet act of praise to the One who truly makes it all happen.

Overall, I’m giving the book 4 stars. Just read it.

God bless,
Kaya :)

Lynette Eason in her new book, "A Killer Among Us" Book Three in her Women Of Justice series published by Revell takes us back to Spartanburg, South Carolina.

Kit Kenyon is a first-rate hostage negotiator only just recently arrived in Spartanburg to be with her family. She has been newly partnered with Noah Lambert, a veteran on the force, and there are still sparks as these two clash as they work out their differences. Now there is a serial killer on the loose called The Judge. He has a planned execution for a number of individuals where he will be the Judge, jury and executioner. And either Kit or Noah is on The Judge's list.

"A Killer Among Us" is a thriller, no doubt about it. Kit and Noah's lives are in great danger from page one and the danger grows with the body count. Just when you think you might know where the story is heading Ms. Eason tosses in another turn which you take at high-speed on two wheels. There are so many wonderful themes in this book especially God's love and forgiveness. "A Killer Among Us" reminds us that God never abandons us or forsakes us even when we turn our backs on him! Ms. Eason makes her characters so real and you root for them to complete their mission and you root for their romance to blossom. Ms. Eason knows how to tell a story that keeps you flipping the pages and guessing as to who the bad guys really are. This is a wild ride read and I recommend it highly. While I am sorry that this book concludes the series I am looking forward to Ms. Eason's new series.

Kit Kenyon, is dealing with finding out that she was adopted, specifically finding out that she was a twin. She has met her sisters, and birth parents, even moved to their town. However the anger she feels toward her adoptive parents is costing her. Her relationship with her adoptive mother is suffering, her relationship God is suffering also.
As a police officer, she has to stay focused. Being distracted can cost her, or her partner their lives, so she has to pull it all together, especially now that the case they are on is beginning to look like a serial killer is on the loose.
Noah Lambert loves his job, but he is not happy with the choice of his new partner. He swore he never wanted to work with another woman partner after the last female partner was killed in the line of duty. Noah's faith is a huge part of his life and his job, and finding out that his new partner is struggling with her faith, is another distraction for Noah. Noah and Kit are on the case of the gavel killings. They also are dealing with someone shooting at them. Not only is there a crazed killer out there, it seems that someone is also targeting Noah and Kit, there must be no distractions.
This book was my favorite in the Women of Justice series, having read and reviewed the first two, it was really great to see the familar characters of Jamie (Kit's twin sister) and Samantha and their spouses. The suspense in this book was edge of your seat reading and it will pull you in to the very end of the book. Lynette has wonderfully written this series and you will want to read all three of these books. Even though each book refers to the previous story, you will not be totally lost if you missed one of them. 343 pages US $14.99 5 stars.

A Killer Among Us is exhilarating! The story is about 2 detectives, Noah and Kit who are new partners and find themselves working on a serial killer case. Not only are there people getting killed around them but it is evident that either Noah or Kit are getting hunted too! Trying to work with new a new partner is always a struggle especially when you find yourself attracted to that person as well.

Once you start reading A Killer Among Us, you'll have a hard time putting it down. There is a ton of action and suspense that had me guessing who the killer was the entire time. This book reminded me of watching the TV show "Criminal Minds" where you get to see inside the head of the killer as well as watching the detectives work the case. I enjoyed the tidbits of a glimpse in to the killers mind, he sure was psychotic.

The main characters were enjoyable; I was completely immersed in their lives right from the start. I really admired Noah; he was such a Godly man and always made an effort to remind Kit as well as others of God’s love.

The spiritual threads in here were perfect. There was a lot of action going on, but here and there was a mention of God's love and forgiveness. A Killer Among us reminded me that God never abandons us or forsakes us even when we turn our backs on him! Very inspirational!

The romance was sweet and desirable. I felt like the romance moved a little fast considering it all happened within a few weeks but I wouldn't change anything about it. Very clean and enjoyable! I am looking forward to reading more by Lynette Eason. I highly recommend this book if you enjoy Christian Suspense with a touch of romance, you will not be disappointed.

I received a copy of this book to read and review from the author. My review is not biased by the fact that I was given this book. I HONESTLY read and review any book whether bought or given to me. If I did not like the book I would definitely not give a rave review or recommend it.

The latest thriller in the Women of Justice series, Lynette Eason pulls out all the punches in her book, A Killer Among Us.

Detective Kit Kenyon, a first-rate hostage negotiator, is Detective Noah Lambert’s new female partner. One he’s not ready to deal with after losing his previous female partner. They get off to a rough start, due to Noah’s initial lack of respect, which Kit quickly nips in the bud.

Three weeks into their new partnership, a grisly murder pops up. Even with both using their distinguished talents, they are thrown into a tailspin as additional murders begin to occur. About the time a commonality in the victims is identified, the next one blows their theory out of the water.

More help is brought in as they determine they have a serial killer on their hands. The killer, who is identified as the Judge, is crafty in evading the investigators. Your interest is piqued by Lynette’s multi-layered and intense plots and twists, keeping you enthralled in the chase to the very end.

You find yourself grieving with the victim’s families and struggling with the exasperation of the investigators’ inability to speedily track the killer down, as well as their exhaustion due to the number of murders occurring. Throw in the simmering romance between Kit and Noah, the fact that the killer is also after the detectives, and you have one riveting story that keeps you reading late into the night!

This story is heart-warming on a different level, that brings the reality of the whole situation into context. One that both Kit and Noah will learn.

Noah’s faith is vital to all that is going on, despite the gruesomeness of the murders and the devastation to the families. It’s his faith that unnerves Kit initially. But gently opens her heart.

I couldn't even begin to describe how anxious I was to read and review the 3rd and final book in the "Women of Justice" Series ~ "A Killer Among Us!" Lynette Eason has quickly become one of my Favorite Christian Suspense Authors for sure! While this book is the last in the series it easily would read as a stand alone however, I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND you read the other two ~ "Too close to Home," and "Don't Look Back." A Killer Among Us introduces us to Kit and Noah. Kit is a High Profile Negotiator and Noah is a Detective with not only excellent instincts, but a godly man, and an example to all of those around him.

When these two come together as partners, they both have to learn how to best work with one another. Noah's previous partner had a fatal accident and he still carries the burden and feels responsible. Kit is a strong woman and an excellent negotiator, yet harbors so much pain from her past. Together, these two make an amazing team and the more time they spend together, the more they realize they are attracted to one another. Noah prays Kit can find forgiveness and that God can work in her heart. As they continue to work on the case, they quickly learn they are dealing with a serial killer and may be hunting not just the innocent lives of the law students, but quite possibly, Kit or Noah as well!

I have loved this series. A series about Family, and finding God, despite difficult situations and hurts in your past. I love how Lynette weaves forgiveness and healing into the lives of not only Kit and Noah but Jake, Samantha, Connor, and Jamie! If you like Suspense and Fast paced Action these are the books for you! The only thing that could make this the full package is to add a good romance in and Lynette has done that perfectly!

If you are a CSI fan, or Criminal Minds strikes your fancy then don't walk to your nearest bookstore.....RUN! Grab the Women of Justice Series and a glass of sweet tea and enjoy these books!! You WON'T BE DISAPPOINTED!
