With all do respect to the author,

Troy is one super egomaniac bastard. There is no other way i could describe him.
So where do i begin with..
The good: the writing was okay,there was backward-forward story plots to introduce us with both character. I like Jade for

her persistency. You see, her boyfriend was died a year ago and now he's back, stalking her everywhere. Demanding her to be his girlfriend again. As what a normal person do, she refuse and scare of him.

So Troy, being a selfish axxhole, take(kidnap) her with her friends permission, because hey what a bunch of people can do to a powerful species like him (And they're not calling police or any help after that. What kind of friends are they?? Her friends essentially useless.)

While under captive, he try over and over again to convince her that she loved him (just by words like 'you know you love me. you know you do'. Really convincing.) and he'll never let her go until she accept that. She repeatedly refused.

After he save her from his enemy and bring her back to his house(aka second kidnap after she escaped), that pattern start again: he try over and over again to convince her that she loved him and he'll never let her go until she accept that but she still repeatedly refused (hurray for that logical brain!!). This girl have a quite logical defense, because for half of the book, her brain actually play dominant role in her action (even after they have sex, she still want to escape). The convince-refuse things were happen many times to the point almost boring yet showed that she is one persistent girl with sane head. Although unfortunately, she finally give in. Ugh.

Troy, subtly blame his extreme pushy attitude on his vampire's transformation. Really?The flashback story clearly describe him as a pushy person. An annoying but kinda cute boy. After transformation? NO. There's nothing cute or romantic about a person that kidnap you and brainwash you to love him! What is this? Stockholm syndrome in disguise? His big ego doesn't take no for an answer, even after the word said millions times. His concern was his need, his enjoyment, basically everything start with HIS.

Jade clearly know it's wrong on so many level which makes her do that repetitive refusal.
She logically know she doesn't want him back. Yet for his own selfish needs, he dragged her down until she accept him. Oh, he let her go though, but not without some guarantee (that necklace that can trace her down and he mixing their blood to ensure she'll slowly drawn to him). Jade herself admitted he drive her to insanity.
A person or species, whatever, who held you in prison for their own pleasure & need doesn't worth it. Period.

The bad? Obviously that big time a**hole Troy . I really want to smack his head so bad.
