Heat in real life is the bane of Vic’s life, whose favorite season is winter, and Vic’s life is far more mundane than fiction. And when it comes to fiction, the hotter the better is Vic’s motto. Make it romantic, make it sexy, make it erotic, but definitely make it hot.

Even shorter than the original story (Of Cocoa and Men) this nevertheless very enjoyable sequel shows a glimpse of Connor and Dayton's lives now that Connor is finally ready to open his own bakery. The humor was just as wonderful as in the first book, and the scene with the mayor's wife and the werewolves was hilarious.

Dayton is determined that Connor's bakery become a success. He even comes up with a marketing idea. Of course, his best option to relax his nervous mate is still very physical... and, being a werewolf, he enjoys the mock-chase as much as Connor loves getting caught. Never mind the hard floors, or the need to open on time.

The mix of humor and real love and affection between the two men was great, and the sex very, very hot. The sequel is just as entertaining as the first story!

This story picks up about a year after Connor and Dayton began their rather unorthodox relationship, the baker and the protective werewolf who likes chocolate, even if it’s bad for me. Things have been going well on the relationship front, they are still madly in love, and Dayton’s alpha behaviour makes Connor weak in the knees. In that year Connor has been saving up and is about to open his own bakery. It’s his first morning and he’s naturally nervous, but it seems Dayton is nearly as nervous as Connor and Connor knows if he doesn’t distract Dayton, in his usually sexy manner, his mate’s aggressive demeanour may scare off potential customers.

This is a nice little story, but it doesn’t quite have the cuteness of the first. Perhaps the novelty of a cocoa loving werewolf is not quite so amusing once you’ve been there, done that. Sure it’s cute when the werewolf security pack show up to buy petit fours, and the typical device of the influential mayor’s wife who can make or break a local business with her tacit endorsement was well done. However, I just didn’t feel that same sense I had with the first story.

The sex between Connor and Dayton is still smoking hot, with a passion that doesn’t care about location or little details like lube. It was an enjoyable enough short red, something to pass the time at lunch and a quick but I won’t necessarily return to it for another read.

This short story is a sequel to Of Cocoa and Men that covers only ONE DAY, which is the day that Connor's bakery opened. It's shorter than the original ... and lacks the charm and cuteness as well. However, I guess it is nice to know what happened to the cocoa-loving wolf and his sweet baker mate after the "HEA".

2.5 stars. Ok short paranormal m/m romance following up on the baker and the werewolf from the first book. Alas, this story just didn't have the magic of the original.

Cute, but kinda too-short, sequel to Of Cocoa and Men. I loved the first book and recommend it!
