Boeiend boek over vraagstukken rond het einde van het leven. Tijdig lezen is een aanrader, zeker als er in je omgeving mensen zijn die nadenken over eigen regie over hun ende.
The moral vision presented by this book is odious beyond words. It is impossible to see life for what it truly is and still choose to die: when one knows all its endless beauty and opportunities to transcend, rise above, all of our afflictions.
That said, I know all too well how illness can twist and break the mind. Every 10 minutes or so suicide claims another victim, often in gruesome ways. It is clear that in our world many people are so hurt as to find it impossible to see life for what is. Perhaps there is a sense in which the contents of this book can help those who are compelled by illness to end their own lives do so with the least cruelty to themselves, and those left behind.
