A product of its time. Macabre in parts, fanciful in others-- the phantom is perhaps the perfect allegory of our current loss of connection. His darkness stems the shunned nature of others, his deformity, becomes his monstrous nature. And yet we pity him. The nature of the plot, excellent. Atmosphere, awesome. The actual dialogue and serial nature of a magical horror....eh. 3 stars.

Yeah... I'm really stupid for not realizing (again) that this was a Learner's Version of the book... That being said, I could speed through it.

It left mw with an empty feeling. What is that? Help!

-Discussion Questions:
1.Do you know the difference between opera and musical?
Answer:
I don't know and I have no idea, so I looked over some Web pages.
Basically opera use classical music and musical use jazz one.
Moreover opera singers sing without microphones.Musical singers use it.
But, musical singers have to sing and also dance.
Both of them needs high level techniques.
It's hard for them to act, I think.

2.In this book, finally the phantom gave up loving the heroine because she and the hero loved deeply each other.
Then have you ever given up anything special? What? And why?
Or have you ever been permitted to do any matters? Who did?
Answer:
When I was third grade student in high school,
I told my parents my will I wanted to go NUFS.
However they opposed it and asked me to go universities in my hometown.
But I passionately told them features of NUFS
for example, Bston programs and PUT and more.
As a result, they admitted me to go NUFS, I was very glad.

-Note-
The story is in 1880. in northern France
The heroine is Christine, the hero is Raoul,
an impotant actor is Erik(= the Phantom of the Opera).
Erick loved her voice and created this disturbance.

MACMILLAN books have CDs, it's good to review the contents.

A My friends and my family is the most important for me.
2 If you had a talent for opera. But your face is strange or scarely. Dou you play on the opera?
A Yes I do. Because even if I had a talent, it means opera is suitable for me even if I had strange and scarely face.

I didn"t know this story first time. I have heard this title, but I had never read book. Actually this story is sad story. But I think this story is interesting. There is a movie of this story, so I want to watch it.
