Since 1956 V. Peskov has been a photojournalist and essayist for Komsomolskaya Pravda. Peskov's essays are imbued with a great love for Soviet people and Russian nature, and then will make up most of the books he wrote.
The first book of V. M. Peskov - "Notes of a Photo Reporter" was published in 1960. In 1963 his book "Steps in the Dew" was published, and in 1964 he became a laureate of the Lenin Prize, which was awarded to him for this book.
VM Peskov is one of the authors of the book of documentary sketches about cosmonauts "Wait for us, stars" (1963).
In 1991, his collection of essays "Wanderings" was published, in which the reader, together with the author, will visit the reserves of East Africa, travel twenty-five thousand kilometers along the roads of the United States, see the rural landscapes of Hungary, the Swiss Alps, Norwegian lakes and fjords, Antarctica.
In the sketches and lyrical miniatures of Peskov, Soviet people appear before us, pictures of their life and creative work at different latitudes and meridians of our country. The works of V.M. Peskov are distinguished by lyricism, deep penetration into the spiritual world of the Soviet person, and poetically reveal the beauty of their native land.
