When a dullahan from the fae realm shows up on Mike Radley's property, he doesn't know what to expect.
He didn't expect to learn that his banshee friend Cecilia has become a prisoner of the faerie queen. He really didn't expect to learn that his home contains a portal to the Underworld itself. And he definitely didn't expect to do battle against the duplicitous shadow man who wants Mike's very soul.
With new allies, villains, and monstergirls, things are about to become dead serious. Welcome to the Underworld, Mike Radley. Expect the Unexpected. This erotic urban fantasy fantasy contains intimate scenes with mythological beings.
The books keep getting better. The story line progressing nicely as Mike’s world expands. Is he ever going to kiss Beth? I like the message that even through hell and adversities. Love will prevail.
Here we are once again, on the precipice of tantalizing intrigue. This steamy series has hit all my urban fantasy buttons and I could not have asked for more. 10/10 would recommend to any avid fantasy literotica reader out there. You will not be disappointed.
Mike Radley is the Caretaker on a growing estate full of crypids finding refuge from the world of people. He's also a tantric mage. The book is a huge find as you get over 700 pages of engaging and a really well-edited story for your money. Hopefully, you have also at least read the other Radley books -- Radley's Home, Radley's Labyrinth, and Radley's Wardrobe, because otherwise the number unique characters might be overwhelming to someone just starting out. The cast is much smaller with the first Radley novel. But don't skip Last of Her Kind, as it's another great read, and without having that knowledge, the last two pages won't make much sense.
Huge fan of her writing, and have been for a few years. Highly recommended.
Some may, but I didn't read these for the erotica. I read them for the stories, the characters and the solid writing. It's not a new idea, but the "guy inherits weird old house" trope has rarely been done better, imo at least. I don't claim to have read all iterations of the idea, but these are just good books.
I think it ends very well here, at least assuming this is the end. The author's afterword gives no indication of that, but it's certainly a good way to close an arc. Not all questions are answered, but enough are that you can fill in the rest how you see fit. If another main sequence Radley's book comes out I will definitely give it a shot, as there is certainly story left should the author choose to pursue it.
This is probably my favorite book of the series so far (up to book seven). Mike is starting to come into his own as a player in the world whose not just reacting to threats. He has to somehow make it to the fairie realm and rescue his beloved banshee and he really puts the effort into doing it right without just rushing in and hoping to get lucky. And the new villain is proper threatening but also the kind of villain you are happy to see leave cause he's just such an obnoxious jerk. OH also halloween fun time, my favorite. Yeah this one ramps up the stakes but ends so happily that im smiling thinking about it right now
In this, Annabelle Hawthorne’s final volume on Mike and his monsters, the author pulls out all the stops. It is a symphony of magic, terror, sensual delight and humor. Familiar now with all the characters and their stories and abilities I was immersed in a flood of Beaty and intrigue. I couldn’t put it down and I didn’t want it to end. A beautifully constructed, powerful and earthy story about the best and worst in human nature.
A great story is made up of great characters, as we follow Mike we encounter all the monsters that live in the house, getting to know them and love them, and now miss them. I hope that the future will bring more stories about the house and those who call it home
Okay, there's a lot of sex. Explicit sex. But the series isn't one that makes you want to go off into a corner and do something...unmentionable. Annabelle's writing is sexy, raunchy, funny, and creative. Yes, you know if a new, female character shows up, Mike is going to get into her knickers, but it's never demeaning nor insulting.
Mike gets cucked by zell Beth screws yet another monster although her soul was put in jeopardy by one Dana continues to be a hypocrite and shun Mike while lusting after every woman He doesn’t even get mad I really like these books but they should market them as women’s empowerment not harem

Mike has had one heck of a time ! Rescues, A fight with the Far Queen and the Shadow. Taming Cerubuse. Just when he's about to click with Beth the discovery of the Dry ad's heart wood. My goodness what next? On to the next book to find out!
Ya know. I did not expect these books to be so well written… I’m loving the absurdity of the spice and how lighthearted and non serious the book is. But it is also a good plot; I’m very curious about this mysterious game with the house.
Is it borderline smut-with-a-plot featuring monster girls? Yes. Is the smut good? Also yes. Is the plot good? Absolutely yes.
If the idea of smut (and/or monster girls) isn't your cup of tea, then this book won't be either. But even if you're just *okay* with the odd graphic sex scene, then you'll likely really enjoy this book as the writing, characterisations, world building, etc. is really, really good.
A very engrossing and entertaining read, and a successful capstone to the series. It is always appreciated when an author acknowledges that life isn't always full of happy endings, but gives you one anyways!
However, it doesn't look like the story ends here based on some of the threads still left unfurling. I'll be excited to see if any further details are had in the two other books that have been published with this series.

Really excellent fantasy smut. The plot and characters are surprisingly well thought out and interesting to read about. The sex is a nice bonus in a story that is good on its own.
