Roxanne is a USA Today Bestselling, award-winning author of forty romantic suspense, mystery, and heart-warming, emotionally charged relationship novels in the clean & wholesome, as well as inspirational romance genres.

She got her first horse at the tender age of six and grew up riding bareback with wild abandon throughout her small Minnesota town year-round. It was like giving a child car keys!

She showed horses for many years, and later, she and her husband raised quarter horses and thoroughbreds until their kids came along.

She's living her childhood dream, living on an acreage in the country with her husband, three horses (all beloved elderly pasture ornaments, now), a golden retriever, a Mountain Cur rescue, and six fluffy barn cats. It's a much smaller menagerie than when their three kids were still at home!

Ranches, animals, and small-town life frequently find their way into her books.

I got this today and enjoyed the story okay, but it was a lot like another book I read, but with a few changes. Which is a bummer! It was another book about the physical therapist who helps her grouchy client. I gave it three stars, because it was well-written, even if the basic plot has been done before and because her son has Aspergers. Mental illnesses interest me and anyone who tries to write about them is okay in my book! My son has Autism and is into animals, but she does a great job of telling some of his eccentricities (is that a word?) that go along with what my son does. I really liked the plot twists and turns and the end. Now to impatiently wait for Keeley's book.

This started out with a promising premise, but didn't really deliver. The backstory for both Josh and Sophie was frankly depressing and Sophie's father was horrible. The "inspirational" aspect was barely touched on and the "romance" was virtually nonexistent. The whole plot felt rushed and shallow as if it was edited to fit into a specific page count.

Even though a predictable read it was heart warming. Sometimes the best read to lift your spirits is very simple.

I love heartwarming stories but the ending left out some things. I did not feel I got a conclusion for gramps or her father. I really need more! What is going to happen to gramps? What about her relationship with her father? Does it falter? Does it mend? I just don't know

Magic!!! In a CHRISTIAN book? Sophie is praying along with others and she mentions needing magic. So wrong! Also, too much angst for me.

This was an actually longer story than some of the other Love Inspired series or so it seemed to me, maybe since I had the Large Print version. Anyway I never had the chance to read the original Aspen Creek story but you truly don't need to to be able to get into Sophie's story as it doesn't bring that much of the past into the plot.

The story makes for a fast read but not really an emotional one in my opinion. Although the cast is quite big and full of quite believable yet eccentric characters there is a lack of relationship growth as things just seem to take a leap from Point A to Point C.

In my opinion I think there was no actual lesson that was to be had by this book, which a theme is so common to the Love Inspired series. Josh was having to learn to get over his guilt while learning to forgive himself and accept God again, Sophie was having to figure out how to give in to God's timing and Gramps how to face the problems of losing control.

Yet all at the same time you had this giant elephant in the room where Sophie's father couldn't forgive her for a mistake and it was this last scenario that truly took away from the book since you were hoping that the issue would be resolved between father and daughter. Although she confronted her father there was no actual scene of forgiveness or acknowledgement on his part for what he should do. So disappointing.

For those who enjoy the Love Inspiration group this is one of the better books. Although there was a misspelling of one of the character's name and a misspelling of a word it won't take away from the family feel of the book.

I enjoyed reading this book because the plot moved relatively fast (some books drag on and on, even with a good plot). The author is a favorite of mine, and all of her books that I've read have been good.

The two main characters, Josh and Sophie, are likable and believable. The emotional struggles both characters work through ate very believable. The addition of Eli (and Gramps and Alberta, too) rounded out the cast of characters and added a lot to the story.

This book had less discussion of Christian principles and beliefs that the majority of Love Inspired books I've read in the past. This neither enhances or detracts from the story.

I recommend this book for readers who want a solid, fast read that touches your heart.

This is a sweet, easy to read Christian romance. The single mom in the story, Sophie, does an excellent job parenting her Asperger son, Eli, and dealing with other challenges in her life such as a critical father, a needy grandfather, and the fact that she doesn't know yet whether her physical therapy job will be temporary or become permanent. Inspiring patients to do their best to make progress isn't always easy. The plot deals with false guilt that can come after a tragedy and cause a person to lose hope and become angry with God. The spiritual growth in some characters is encouraging, and the ending is delightful.

This book really disappointed me. It seemed there were a lot of things that were left out, and I felt cheated. I didn't get how/why the characters were attracted to each other. And her family situation certainly needed some work, but the book just didn't go there. And then there was all the talk of putting her grandfather in an assisted living facility, so I was anticipating this big fight where she'd have to stand up to her dad, but it never happened.

It could of been a longer story. It was good but then suddenly he's in love with her, all his issues with the car accident and death of wife and unborn child dealt with? Moved too quickly from one aspect to the other, wasn't really a "middle". Still a good storyline.

Not a bad book, just not my thing. Apparently it's the second in a series (Aspen Creek Crossroads) but I was fine even though I didn't read the first one.

It was okay, but nothing special.

It was good. But I felt all the stuff with Beth at the end was distracting. Guess it is part of series though
