The illustrations are very clear, and match the text perfectly, which is good for young readers to use as contextual clues. I absolutely love this book and have retold this story on a couple of occasions to my own children. It teaches a good moral. I would use this in my classroom as a read-aloud or even as a Reader's Theater. There are many versions of this book available but I like the clear illustrations in this one for younger children.
Good clear pictures. story tells of moral values against lieing and words show no violence innuendos. This fable always seems to work well when teaching telling the truth.
