For a short book it packed a lot of punch. Something about a man with wings that just screams...HOT! Michael is so angelic…yet oh so bad. Eva's essence calls to him and who is he to deny her. I loved her character, sassy, spunky and pushover for Michael. Just a fun, unique story line that has lots of potential. I only hope that the upcoming books will be a little bit longer. I would have enjoyed spending more time with Michael and Eva.

This was just an okay read. An introduction to a long series, twelve books if all them fallen angels got their own story.

This story didn't overwhelm me nor did it bore me. Not much depth in anything, in fact. I would probably forget about all about it tonight.

Three stars, because Michael was shirtless the entire time the story was told.

4.5 out of 5 stars

"To see the passion on your face as you come apart beneath my hands...there's no comparison."

~Michael

First, let me just say...the only reason I didn't rate with 5 stars, is the length. A novella that could have, should have, been longer. The story was there, room for a bit more development without overkill. I hope the next installment is a bit longer. I'll be starting it the second I'm done with this review!

Eva is a barista at a local coffee shop. She has a nice apartment, with an eager ex just across the hall. Eva also lives in a world ruled by angels due to the collapse of the veil seperating heaven and earth. She's always been hesitant and somewhat sceptical about everything "angel". Imagine her suprise, fear and confusion, when one appears in the middle of her living room in the middle of the night. His "simple" explanation being that she, her essence, calls to him...

Book Description:
In a world where angels rule over humans, twelve outcasts dare to defy expectation, warring with their angel brethren to prevent the extinction of humankind.

They are The Fallen...

Michael is one of twelve angels who have been outcast due to their determination to protect humans. In order to preserve his immortality and strength, he must find a mate with angel blood. Eva Smyth has never believed the propaganda spouted by the Consortium-the elite system of guards put into place once angels took over reign of Earth-but she never expected to learn the angels plan to eradicate all of humankind, or that she herself is part angel. Joining Michael means living a life on the run, at war against the angels and hunted by the Consortium. In a world where angels rule over humans, twelve outcasts dare to defy expectation, warring with their angel brethren to prevent the extinction of humankind.

My Thoughts:
Between 3 and a 3.25 stars.

This 101-page novella contained a decent story despite its minature stature. The concept of the fallen angel was unique in this book. A small contingent of twelve angels was considered to be fallen because they actually cared about humanity whereas the majority of angels viewed humans as cattle. The fallen worked together in secret to strip the power from the fascist regime of angels and expose their true intentions to the humans.

Decent story. Likeable characters. Bad diologue.

The dilogue was very mechanical are archaic in many places. Michael reminded me of a wind up toy. His range of diologue motion was very limited. His character's nature of speech was quite mundane and repetitive. Michael's diologue consisted of beloved this and essence that. The words showed up so much that I had to do a work count on each. Oh yeah, I'm a word geek, I just had to figure out how many times they appeared in the book.
Beloved appeared 35 times.
Essence appeared 32 times.
Eva's diologue was no better. Her "sexy" talk sounded like she should be staring B-rated porno flick.
Her breathy sighs of Oh yes or oh please appeared 6 times.
Remember now...this was a novella. A bit much on the word overkill, ya think?

Althought this book was not my cuppa, it was neither an epic failure nor a total waste of brain cells; however, it also will not be winning any literary awards any time soon. I am interested enough in the storyline to find out what happens to one of the secondary characters, Ethan, in Angel's Desire (The Fallen Warriors #2).

I personally felt that the story could have stood to be expanded on, there was so much room for intrigue but for a short it was fascinating.

Book 1 in the Fallen Warriors series

Angels aren’t really God’s servants, in For Love of an Angel. No, instead they come from a different dimension. When the veil fell and angels found themselves stuck on Earth, for good, they decided to play up to the fact that humans worshiped them and do what any invasive species does - take over the planet. First, by turning humans into slave laborers and mindless drones fed by pro-angelic propaganda. Second, by methodically exterminating said humans until the planet is all their own. However there are some angels that want to co-exist peacefully with humans – who believe in preserving a species instead of wiping it out. They are known as The Fallen – and they fight a losing battle. Eva is a human, working as a barista, when she meets Michael, who is one of the Fallen. While he is devastatingly sexy, Eva knows that’s not enough to form a connection. But Michael knows Eva’s secrets, and soon reveals how Eva’s very life is in danger. The two must make a daring escape and Eva knows she will be on the run from the angels (the evil, not-fallen ones) for the rest of her life. Can she forgive Michael for risking her safety to meet her, and acknowledge their love? Or will she turn her back on him and leave for a life below-the-radar - and alone?

I love Rosalie’s writing. There were sentences in this novella that literally gave me the chills – that made my eyes light up, made me bounce in my seat in excitement and a shiver crawl up my back. Stealthily eerie and ominous, sentences like “Angels were not known for their compassion” were short and to the point. Sentences like that – that get their message across in so few words – are the mark of a truly great writer. And Rosalie is a fabulous writer. She has good voice and focus, and her writing is exciting. It builds inside you, each sentence upon wonderful sentence of prose and dialogue. I really enjoyed this book. I was entertained by most every page. The book didn’t let up – it was consistent, through and through, in it’s riveting qualities. Let’s sum up this paragraph by saying that, quite simply, there is absolutely nothing lacking in Rosalie’s writing style.

Unfortunately, I didn’t get the character development or plot development I needed. While the story moved at a great pace, there was way too much sex and not enough relationship/bonding thrown in. The sexual tension between Michael and Eva could literally be compared to a blazing bonfire, but I wanted to see the more emotional connection underlying the lust. Whether that connection was under-developed because Rosalie chose not to write about it or because there simply weren’t enough pages in the book and something had to get cut out, I was surprised by the lack of bonding. As far as plot went, many of the scenes occurred a bit too quickly for my taste – leaving a few things lackluster in description or in believability.

However the book was suspenseful, and very unique. As with Rosalie’s other series Blood of the Infernum (which I strongly recommend), in For Love of an Angel beings like angels are not from heaven as in human lore, but are instead akin to aliens (that's as apt a description I can give you). I really enjoy the intriguing twist this brings to the story-line (you can read more about that twist here, in Rosalie’s own words when she did a guest post on my blog!) because the book is definitely more interesting than the average angel-infused paranormal. I loved the creativity and imagery in this book – and Michael is mouth-watering both in his dialogue and his physique. I must admit that at first, his pet name for Eva – ‘beloved’ – kinda freaked me out, but as the story progressed I found I liked it. It fit him, and their situation. All in all, this was a good novella – interesting, well-written, and unique. I would highly recommend For Love of an Angel by Rosalie Lario for a quick, fun-filled afternoon of reading.

“Sexy”ness rating: HOT but a little overwhelming in mass and repetitive nature

Overall Rating: B

Bottom Line: With sexy angels and a sweet but sensible heroine, For Love of an Angel is electric, riveting, inspired, and unique. You don't want to miss this fabulous novella by Rosalie Lario!

This book is the first of a series and since it was free and the title appealed to me, I downloaded it. It took me a while to start reading it, but once I started, I fell into the story right away. This always pleases me very much. As much as I like the Black Dagger Brotherhood series, for instance, I find I have trouble getting into the stories at times, especially since they often begin with characters we don't know yet as a reader (and who we might well come to root for after all, as I've come to trust in Ward's books).

Anyway, this review is about For Love of an Angel. It takes place in a universe where the 'veil' between the human and the angel world has fallen away. Angels have taken over control right away, but without violence - in twelve years however, they are the undisputed leader of humankind. Nobody wonders how they did it, and nobody fights it. Guards are everywhere, and people protesting disappear, or so the book implies. Wages have been done away with, and careers are chosen for people, as is housing. That is why Eva, a coffee shop barista, lives in an apartment she would never have been able to afford had the angels not decided where she will live.

Eva wonders if there isn't more to life than working, going home, being pestered by an annoying ex, and go back to work again. Right at that moment, a man dressed in slacks only shows up in her living room. Hotter than hell, of course, and she feels attracted to him in an instant. But she fights the attraction as reason sets in; who is he, and what does he want?

Michael reveals himself to be a Fallen, angels who Eva has learned are a danger to humans since they want to kill them. However, Michael works hard to convince her things aren't what they seem. And he wants to take her with him as his mate, because her essence calls to him as his essence calls to her. Eva needs some time to think, obviously, but in the end the decision is made for them as the pesky ex decides to annoy some more and barge into her apartment, discovering the black-winged angel and Eva in her living room.

He raises the alarm, and Eva and Michael have to run. They go to his hiding place, where he lives with eleven others, his brethren as he calls them. Even there, he has to work hard to convince Eva she'd be a good mate for him. Not only because he likes her; angels need to have sex with other angels (of half-breeds) in order to maintain immortality.

Apart from some frustrating things that made me want to tear my hair out, it really was an okay read. As far as I know this was self-published, but I only spotted 2 or 3 mistakes in the entire story and the writing was 'clean', which was a pleasant bonus.

If you don't mind a man having a voice that rumbles a whole lot and who calls his not-yet-mate 'beloved' from the first second (and in about every sentence), and if you don't mind the awesome world behind this not being explained at all, then you're in for a relaxing read.

Of course, it's erotica, but I would have loved for the plot to be fleshed out just a tiny bit more. Perhaps in the next books, this will happen, but right now I haven't yet decided if I liked this story enough to read more. I wonder about things, though. It's only been twelve years since the veil fell. Michael lost his mate, someone he loved deeply, apparently. Yet within no-time, in terms of immortality, he's falling for someone else. And if there are Guards everywhere and so many things are decided for the humans, why are the angels then not aware of every detail in someone's life?

I know I sound negative, but all in all, this really was an okay book. The plot truly appealed to me, and the author did a good job catching a whole new universe without spending the first 100 pages of the book on it (Kushiel's Dart, anyone?). The writing is clean and yes, I read it all in one go, which says enough, in my view. Not the best out there, but certainly worth a shot.

I had first heard of this novella when Christi with Smitten with Reading reviewed it over at her blog. You can see her review HERE. I loved the idea of this series and I immediately went out and bought the novella and I really enjoyed it!

The world has been a changed place for about 12 years now. The veil between the angel realm and our realm has fallen and angels have moved into earth. They have changed many things including giving everyone a specific job, a specific place to live, doing away with salaries and bills and claiming that the point of all of this is to make the world a more peaceful place. The only problem is the angels actually have a horrible ulterior motive!

Eva is a coffee barista, she got the unlucky end of the job draw but can deal with it since she was a little more blessed when it came to the place she gets to live. She was 13 with the veil fell and since then has tried to get use to the way things are done now with the angels running everything. They even have an inforced curfew and their own type of police with the Consortium. When she finds a sexy stranger standing in her living room one rainy night her life completely changes.

Michael is one sexy angel! Longer dark hair, topaz eyes, sexy black wings…just rawr ladies! He is a fallen angel (hence the black wings) and mankind has been brainwashed to believe that the fallen angels are terrible beings hell-bent on destroying humans. The only thing is, the “good” angels are the ones out to use and destroy humans…the fallen angels were cast out because they thought humans should be treated better. Michael also claims to be attracted to Eva’s essence, and we find out that it’s because she’s a half angel.

These two were a lot of fun to read about. Michael is very determined to make Eva his mate for life and Eva isn’t sure she is ready to make that kind of commitment with a seemingly complete stranger. The love scenes between these two are very steamy and I think fit well. I liked that Eva tried to think clearly when it came to Michael even though their bodies were so attuned with each other. Of course, it’s a novella so some of the parts seemed to move a little faster than they would have in a novel but I still feel like everything fit well. The relationship development between Michael and Eva and being introduced to the other fallen angels. I also enjoyed how Ms. Lario is setting up the next books of the series with the overall plot of the angels and how the fallen will have to try to stop them.

I’m excited about this series since it seems that each Fallen angel will receive their own book besides maybe four of them. We have two mated pairings in this book…they seem to have some tension problems so they sleep separately but I think those could make some interesting reads. Either rediscovering each other and why they mated in the first place or maybe the realization that they need to move on and find another to mate with. (BTW, mating is a VERY big deal to these angels…it’s for a lot more than just the pleasure of it.)

Overall: I really, really enjoyed this book and I look forward to reading book 2 which is available now. If you like a good paranormal novella that has some sex, a steamy man and an easy to follow story line I’d highly suggest this novella. I think the entire series is going to be novellas which is a fun thought since you’ll be able to keep up with the series without spending days reading them.

In a previous review, I stated that the paranormal genre is my favorite genre. Despite that, I haven't read many novels that feature angels as the paranormal aspect in the book so I really wasn't sure what to expect with this one. Let me begin by saying this: quite simply – I adored this book! I'm so happy that it is a series because I cannot wait for the next one.

When angels took over the world a lot of things changed drastically and even though the angels are rarely actually seen, the world worships them. Now they answer to the Consortium and there are rules in place that never existed before. Eva was only thirteen when the veil fell, but she remembers life before the angels and wonders if everything is truly as it seems. Sometimes Eva feels like she was meant for something more. Or at least wishes she had the opportunity.

Then she meets Michael. Michael shows her that, indeed, things really aren't as they seem and tells her things that could mean a death sentence if she believes him.

Whoever thought that men with wings on their back couldn't be considered sexy, needs to read this story. Because, seriously, Michael could best be described with one word: “yuuuuummmmy”. Yep, I think that pretty much covers it all. “Wow” might actually work too. Or maybe “drool”. And I loved Eva. She is a sassy, spirited little thing and her internal thoughts are so realistic and hilarious.

The book is very well written and the pace is realistic. One thing that drives me crazy with novellas and shorts sometimes is when the pace goes at warp speed and nothing seems like it could realistically happen at that pace. Ms. Lario manages to convey a sense of time passing, without taking up too much space to do it, and keeps the story moving forward while still making it all believable. And the sexual tension between Eva and Michael is smoldering.

The background given for the angels is very interesting and I can't wait to learn more and see how it all plays out in future sequels. There is black and white (literally) and shades of gray. It's a very interesting take on good versus evil and reality versus pre-conceptions. Despite the fact that this is about angels, there isn't really much (if any) religion in the story so don't let that put you off, if that's something that would sway you one way or the other.

If you enjoy paranormal romance, this is not one that you want to miss. You won't regret it and at $.99 you can't go wrong. It is a quick, entertaining read that will leave you looking forward to the sequels.

My Review:
I really like the world that Rosalie Lario has established in this first novel. In this novella, the world has changed. Suddenly the "veil" that separated angels and humans has dropped. No one really knows why the veil dropped, but the angels are now in charge. They have taken away the world as we know it...housing and jobs are assigned; there is no such thing as money any longer; there are curfews; humans are basically being used as slave labor. What humans don't realize is that their time on earth is a limited thing if the angels get their way. There are a group of twelve angels called the "Fallen" who have taken it upon themselves to try to save humankind, but that means that they are being hunted. For angels to maintain their strength though, they need to mate with others who carry human blood. Within the twelve warriors that make up the Fallen, there are only two female angels so the Fallen are in search of nephilim, human/angel half-breeds, to mate with so that they can maintain their species.

This book is about Eva & Michael. Eva is a barista who is feeling dissatisfied with her life. She has an annoying neighbor whom she used to date. She feels like there should be more to her life, but isn't what sure what that would be. Then one night, she leaves her window open and in comes Michael who was "drawn by her essence." Unbeknownst to Eva, her father was an angel so she is a nephilim.

This first book had a lot of really fabulous elements to it that make me really excited for this new series. I really loved this romance between Michael & Eva. There is definitely a chemical reaction between the two of them, but I love that their feelings are allowed to develop before they really react to that. I loved the Fallen and their reactions to Eva...they all feel the draw of her nephilim blood before she is mated to Michael. Their home in the cave was amazing. It makes an amazingly gorgeous backdrop for this series. The visuals that I had in my head for it were just beautiful. I love how Rosalie described it! The short introductions to the Fallen that we got in this first story have made me really excited to see where the series goes from here. I am assuming that all twelve of the Fallen will get their stories and I cannot wait!!

When the veil between the human and angel worlds collapsed, mankind looked to the angels as godlike figures. It’s been a dozen years since the veil fell and angels rule the world, keeping humans in line. Most humans follow the angels’ orders blindly, but not Eva Smythe. Oh, Eva keeps her doubts to herself, but she cannot help but wonder what it is the angels are up to. Her questions are answered one night when an angel appears in her apartment.

Michael isn’t just any angel. He’s Fallen – one of twelve angels who rebelled against their brethren. Michael and the rest of the Fallen are determined to save mankind from the angels’ plans. But to preserve his strength for the coming war, Michael must find a mate with angel blood. And that mate is Eva. Will Eva give up all she’s ever known to join Michael and the Fallen?

Author Rosalie Lario has masterfully built a world unlike any I’ve ever seen in FOR LOVE OF AN ANGEL. The first book in THE FALLEN WARRIORS series is filled with passion, excitement, danger and most importantly, love. I was entranced by FOR LOVE OF AN ANGEL from the very first page. The world Ms. Lario has created just bursts with potential, and I practically devoured FOR LOVE OF AN ANGEL, as I speedily read the twists and turns of Eva and Michael’s journey.

As for the protagonists themselves, it’s impossible not to like Eva and Michael. She’s inquisitive and caring, he’s sexy and honorable. Together, they make a hell of a team and one red-hot couple. FOR LOVE OF AN ANGEL is filled out with a cast of supporting characters that will surely intrigue you...they sure as heck fascinated me. By the time I finished FOR LOVE OF AN ANGEL, I desperately wanted the next FALLEN WARRIORS tale. Bring on ANGEL’S DESIRE!

When I saw that this book was only .99 cents and that it was about angels, I decided to purchase it because I've been on an angel kick lately. This book is worth way more than I paid for it!

Angels and fallen angels have become popular recently, but this book was a lot different than any other angel story I have ever read. First off, the angels are the bad guys in this novella with the fallen angels as the good guys. That's pretty original by itself! But it gets better! The angels now reside on Earth because their realm has been destroyed. They've chosen where all the humans work and live, and have curfews. Eventually, we discover that the angels are plotting to destroy human kind after they use the humans to do things like build their towers. We also discover that angels need to have sex with other full or half angels in order to keep their immortality.

Eva, the main female character, is stuck working in a coffee shop. She has a nice apartment, but has to live next door to her annoying ex boyfriend. She wishes for something more and that's exactly what she gets. Enter fallen angel Michael. He's beyond gorgeous and has a pair of stunning black wings. He comes to Eva in the middle of the night calling her his beloved.

I really liked both of the characters. They had chemistry, and their relationship didn't seem rushed even though For Love of an Angel is a novella. There are a few sexy scenes and several swoon worthy ones. Their is also humor peppered throughout the story, which I really enjoyed. The ending is sweet and sets up perfectly for the next book.

It's a very original story that I enjoyed a lot. The only thing is that I wish it would have been longer. I'll be waiting for the second in the series, Angel's Desire to come out and might even pick up her book Blood of the Demon because it sounds really good.

If you like angels/fallen angels and are looking for something different and steamy, you should definitely check this one out!
This novella does have a few sex scenes, so I would recommend it for 18+!

You may think you know about angels, but you have no idea. Ms. Rosalie has created a world of angels unlike any I’ve ever read, and I loved every second of it! The winged ones are anything but friendly when the veil between there world and ours breaks. They take over the earth, and life as we knew it ceased to exist. They build their high towers, and use their security team to enforce their rules. Human is life is left up to chance with a lottery dictating your career path, and your home. The tension in the air is tangible, and the atmosphere has like a powder keg waiting to explode, and our heroine Eva is stuck smack dab in the middle. Eva has her own doubts about the way things are run, but with no family and no options there’s nothing she can do.

When our hero Michael shows up in her apartment one stormy night her life is turned completely upside down. He’s nothing like she thought they would be. Angels aren’t supposed to be humorous, kind or attracted to humans. She’s terrified of the angel at first. Michael is what her Mother would call,’ Sex on a stick’, and the attraction between them is too easy to lose herself in. When someone see’s the fallen angel at her house she’s thrust headlong into a war she had never knew existed.

Rosalie has a talent for sculpting, shaping and molding her environment. Her take was fresh , and I loved the mix of intrigue, and passion. Her skill for details and witty dialogue delivered a sense of realism that solidifies the myth and mayhem that surrounds the romance. She took her time building up the relationship, exposing their flows and making us fall in love with Eva and Michael. Once I started this book I was unable to put it down, and I recommend it to anyone whose looking for a romance with real substance. I’ve got my eyes open for the next in this series, Ms. Rosalie, keep up the excellent work.

This was actually a pretty good story. Michael and Eva were hotter than Carolina asphalt in August. The underlying story is very interesting as well. Imagine a world run by angels stranded on earth because of a fallen veil. There is no mention of God so these angels may or maynot be of the Biblical type. My guess is 'not'. So humans are now worshipping these beings and have given them complete control of every aspect of their lives. Michael was once part of this group of white winged powerful beings until he disagreed with their decision to get rid of the humans. He and twelve others survive an inferno-style execution and went rogue. They now have black wings and are called 'The Fallen'. Suffice to say, there is gonna be a reckoning at some point.

Michael and the others need soulmates for their strength and immortality. There are some specific criteria which Eva happens to meet. He seduces her and they end up on the run. I felt Eva and Michael's story was well crafted for a novella. Ms. Lario moved the story along too fast at first but it quickly smoothed out and I got into the rhythm. I was pleased by the fact that Ms. Lario engaged my senses by weaving in details about food, smells, colors...and such. Too many writers forget they are writing fantasy and that details/descriptions are important to people who read this genre. Ms. Lario didn't forget and did it right.

Ms. Lario did not make any mistakes which made me take off a star going from 5 to 4. It was more like there was not enough meat. The conflict with the angels is so interesting as well as the invisible slavery humans endure. I could have used a better understanding of how things got out of control and why humans are so compliant. None of this is a dealbreaker for me so I will be reading book 2. I recommend this for fans of sexy angels, erotica, and romance. If you are deep into fantasy, you might not enjoy it as much.

Angel fantasy in an alternate future.

Thirteen years ago the walls between dimensions collapsed and angels came to live on Earth. They took over the running of the whole world, from rules to housing to what kind of job you are assigned under guise of promoting "peace." Basically they are scary angels and they have what is called the "Consortium," humans who act as police officers and all humans fear them also.

Eva is a barrista at a local coffee shop and will be that until she dies, but hey, she won out on the apartment lottery!

One night Eva wonders, "Is there anything else out there?" She gets her answer when an Angel (named Michael) shows up in her apartment claiming her "essence" called him.

Michael tries to convince her that they are meant to be together as mates but despite the overwhelming lust, Eva isn't quite convinced. Especially when she finds out he is one of the "Fallen" whom other angels have disavowed saying that they want all humans dead. Michael explains it is actually the other way around, the Fallen were kicked out because they wanted to save the humans and the other angels do not.

When Michael is seen in Eva's apartment by her neighbor, they must make a run for it or both be killed.

It's a relatively short story, but I though it was pretty interesting, Michael was hot (hey hey!) and there were some steamy scenes. Well done, and I am looking forward to the rest of the series.

I haven’t really read any angel stories, so needless to say, I liked this story. To be honest, in a way, this series reminds me of one of my favorite shows, SUPERNATURAL. If you watch that show, then you know there’s a war going on and the one angel friend Sam and Dean had is no more ( *sniff* a moment of silence for Castiel, please). This story—and this series—is taking the story of angels—both Fallen and not—to a whole nother level. The veil between our world and theirs has fallen and, well, to be blunt, the angels have made the humans their bitches. They’re up to no good and Michael is one of the Fallen who believe that humans are worth saving. Like Castiel.

Even though I liked the story, the one and only love scene didn’t really come until towards the end. I realize it’s a novella, but it’s Michael.

A Fallen Angel.

Let me rephrase that.

It’s Michael.

A FUCKING GORGEOUS FALLEN ANGEL. He’s got muscles like Pow! Walks around with no shirt. Can go for days without sleep. And has the sex drive of the Energizer bunny. Actually, it’s an angel thing, but I digress.

WHERE THE HELL WAS ALL THE FUCKING?

I understand Eva’s reluctance, but still….WHERE THE HELL WAS ALL THE FUCKING?

As I mentioned, I liked the story, but you know my rules. I bought the second book in the series and it’s waiting in my TBR queue. I’ll read it, but I’m not getting my hopes up.

For Love of an Angel (The Fallen Warriors Series) by Rosalie Lario
B00500796I

Angels rule over humans with the intent of eliminating them when they are no longer needed. However, there are twelve known as the Fallen that will war against their brethren to stop them.

For the Fallen to preserve their immortality and strength, they must find a mate with angel blood. Michael is one of the twelve Fallen Angels and he has found his mate in Eva Smyth.

Eva keeps a low profile, going to work in a mediocre job the Angels have chosen for her. When Michael shows up at her home telling her she is part angel and she is his mate, she has a difficult time believing any of it. Going with him means a life on the run, but she can't deny that his heart calls to her.

She must make her decision and soon. Every second Michael stays with her, endangers both their lives.

Ms. Lario has created a believable world where Angels rule. You'll fall in love with her dark and sexy Warrior Angles and pray they find their true mates. I look forward to reading the next book in the series and find out more about the war the Fallen have planned.
**Warning: The tantalizing love scenes may scorch your kindle.

For Love of an Angel provides a sexy romance, compelling characters, and intriguing worldbuilding in a well told novella-length story. From the main characters' surprising romantic meet to the heroine's introduction into the angelic world, the chemistry between them sizzles. The same pull of essences that draws Michael and Eva together reaches out and grabs hold of the reader. Eva's reactions to all the revelations she experiences are totally realistic and make you feel like you're going through them with her. Michael is sex-with-wings, and who knew wings were such appealing erogenous zones??? Man was I envious of Eva's ability to stroke them! The worldbuilding most intrigued me, though. Despite the fact it's a shorter story, you get a fully fleshed out unique world and conflict, and the author has provided a great rationale and foundation for the rest of the series. The only thing I found myself wanting was more detail about what it felt like to exchange essences when the hero and heroine made love, but that's a small point and it didn't detract from my overall enjoyment of the story, which I read straight through in about two hours. Recommend!

Oh for the love of all things good in books.

Why are Angel books today being super short with instant love.

I get that (I didn't but I know now that the next book is about Ethan) each book will change who it focus' on. And so this book is just about Eva and Michael, fine what ever. Just this book feels so short, its an interesting concept.

Almost dystopian (well I suppose it is) world where the 'veil' between angels and humans fell down and angels rule over Humans. I can totally see this happening thanks to the world's love of Angels and stories around them.

Its sort of sad that we find out that everything is not what we believed about the angels and we allow ourselves to become slaves. Any society that forces you into a job based on your 'personality' is bad in my books.

This series has a lot of potential, I just don't like reading so short books that will be about different people each time. It becomes more romance and less paranormal and when you have a good story line like this I want more paranormal than romance...

Oh but if you want romance, the sex scenes are just... 18+

I really enjoyed this as a start to the series. It was very much focused on Micheal and Eva but it's laying groundwork for a big battle towards the end of the series when the other unmated fallen find mates. I did get worried at the end but thankfully it turned out how I wanted it to!

I love the concept of the angels in this book and how they've been set up as potential oppressors of the human race and indeed the death of the human race if the fallen can't stop their angel brethren! I'm hoping the odds will go more in their favour and that maybe more of the non-fallen angels are against the oppression and destruction of the human race then the fallen realise!

I'm looking forward to them locating the other nephilim as well! Hopefully, if they are in as much danger from the ruling angels as has been stated then the fallen will continue to locate them even after they've all mated to protect them as well as get them to join the fight, that's assuming that their are a lot of nephilim out there.

This was an interesting alternate-Earth story in which the veil between the realm of humans and the realm of angels is destroyed, bringing thousands of angels to Earth. While most people expect angels to be the saviors of humankind, instead humans find themselves subjugated and enslaved by them.

Eva is a woman who enters into a relationship with Michael, a fallen angel, one of 12 who actually respect humans and want to save them from the angels' plans. Because of their relationship, they both face execution if they are captured.

I've read a few books featuring angels, admittedly not very many, but this was the first I've read that featured the angels as villains. Personally, I found the role-reversal to be a refreshing change. I look forward to reading the next book in the series, Angel's Desire.

This was a quick, fun read. I used to be shy of anything with a hint of paranormal in it, but recently I find myself really enjoying the fantasy of these books. This was no exception. I thoroughly enjoyed this. It follows a trope I have read before: but it does it in a fresh enough way to not be too predictable. This first book draws you into a world that is enthrawling and I was a little disappointed not to see more books in this series. There is a lot of potential here for many, many books. (I think there is only one other, which I am looking forward to reading).

However, I am excited to see that Rosalie Lario does have a different series out with several more books. I look forward to reading those as well.

I definitely enjoyed this short novella....but I wish there had been more of it! I felt there was room for more without being too much...either about each character or the "war". Maybe the next in the series will be a bit more in depth.

Micheal... is just hot, sweet and affectionate but still a "man". The sex? *phew* HOT. Usually I'm not too keen on instant attraction and love but it didn't feel rushed here. With the world and characters Ms. Lario built, it just made sense.

I loved that Eva didn't fall into Micheal's arms just because of how gorgeous he was or even because she felt pulled to him and wanted to fall into his arms. She questioned everything.

I look forward to keeping up with this series.

For such a short story, this one certainly had a lot going for it. The characters were well developed and engaging, the plot was a twist on other angel stories I've read and there was great chemistry. This story about fallen angels and how they're different than humans believe them to be captured me from the very beginning. I enjoyed the world created by the author and found myself wanting more. The good news is that the next few book are already available and we'll be able to see how this storyline progresses...both on the romantic side and on the inevitable war that is to come. Good, quick read!

I loved this book. From the moment I started to read it I couldn't stop. It's a short read (only took me about 2 1/2 hrs to read) but there's absolutely nothing in this story that is lacking. The romance is hot, the characters are very well developed and the world that Rosalie has created I have to admit is quite amazing. While reading it I found myself stopping once in a while and thinking about what my reaction would be if I had to live in a world like that. I really enjoyed it and definitely can't wait to read book 2. Definitely going on my favorites list!

This is a sexy, romantic quick read. The 1st in this series, it lays the ground work for the plot of this series effectively without dragging things out. You get a feel of what this world (our world) looks like with these Angelic creatures roaming it & what that means for us, humankind.

The romance between the 2 main characters was intriguing enough. With a few erotic moments. But I have a feeling as this series progresses, things will definitely get darker, sexier & even more intriguing.

I would recommend this read.
