La serie termina como comenzó: con las mismas dudas de "qué pasaría si tu trabajo te afectara tanto que te cambiara la vida y nunca volvieras a ser el que un día fuiste", una pregunta que afecta a todos los hombres en nuestros días.

Peter Milligan is a British writer, best known for his work on X-Force / X-Statix, the X-Men, & the Vertigo series Human Target. He is also a scriptwriter.

He has been writing comics for some time and he has somewhat of a reputation for writing material that is highly outlandish, bizarre and/or absurd.

His highest profile projects to date include a run on X-Men, and his X-Force revamp that relaunched as X-Statix.

Many of Milligan's best works have been from DC Vertigo. These include: The Extremist (4 issues with artist Ted McKeever) The Minx (8 issues with artist Sean Phillips) Face (Prestige one-shot with artist Duncan Fegredo) The Eaters (Prestige one-shot with artist Dean Ormston) Vertigo Pop London (4 issues with artist Philip Bond) Enigma (8 issues with artist Duncan Fegredo) and Girl (3 issues with artist Duncan Fegredo).

Can't say I always like how Milligan ends his stories, but goddamn I love it when an author has his signature style. Reminded me of being a teenager binge=reading Hellblazer again, 10/10

"Esperemos que el final sea tan digno y aplaudible como todo lo que ya llevo leído de la serie." dije en su momento. Y la espera valió la pena porque así fue, sobre todo la saga que da título al libro y cierra con broche de oro el pospuestísimo asunto de la rivalidad Tom/Christopher por ser la verdadera cara del Blanco Humano.
El final abierto era algo más o menos predecible pero completamente adecuado para una serie de estas características.


Ahora queda ver si algún día me animo a ver la serie de tv que supuestamente destroza todas estas geniales ideas y darle las gracias a Milligan en persona por tantas horas de insana diversión historietil.

Tomo final. Recopilado en castellano pero no en inglés aún. Con este tomo completamos la serie (sumando los números 134, 138, 252 y 283 de la Colección Vertigo de Norma y los tres tomos posteriores publicados por Planeta).
