Laura Walker arrives in New Orleans with a secret shame that she relives over and over. She is in town to open a womans lingerie shop and on her first day meets in passing members of a powerful family. There is a mysterious attraction. At the same time gruesome murders are occurring and since Laura is in the thick of things, the police wonder about her.

However Laura is trying to forge a new life here and someone has targeted her.

Slow start but it built tension and kept this reader wondering.
