Jac Weller gives a complete account of Wellington's career in India, the battles and sieges he undertook and the lessons he learned that prepared him for the campaigns he would later undertake against the best European armies.
This work is a great account of Arthur's India Campaigns. It portrays India as being his "classroom" for his future campaigns in the Peninsula and Southern France. I look forward to reading the rest of the series!
A very good insight in to the methodology of Wellington and the battles he fought. Sometimes a bit too detailed though at times. More of a history text book than a readable narrative.
The definitive work on the Iron Duke's India campaigns. Third published but chronologically first text in Jac Weller's superb trilogy. Essential for students of the man and his career.
