read for history 427.

i can’t really explain it but this book just doesn’t do much for me. it was very easy to zone out while reading this book, which i did too many times.

still learned a good amount though, there’s just nothing engaging about it. probably better to rate it as a 2.5.

Picked to represent a course entitled "Imperial Russia" I took at CU. The teacher was Dr. Boss. He gave the class a general knowledge quiz before we got started to see how generally ignorant we were. The only question I remember was "Identify: Lucia di Lammermoor". A Mozart opera of course but I didn't know that then. Humbling for a Trivia "expert". Showed us a Russian movie about Peter the Great. Date is approximate.

A good overview of tsarist Russia for the undergraduate or general history buff.
