The drug addiction is increasing rapidly among the youths. The reasons for falling prey to bad habbits are various but whatever the reason maybe, it affects the youth, their family and also their whole life. The Author has raised a voice for the youth to get rid of their addiction through a storyline with a strong message. Also the poem "Where Mind is without Fear" is worth reading.
The story makes a strong impact on the readers through it's clear narration since from the beginning explaining each character in separate chapter. As the book holds teenage life, it do revolve around college life. In our Society, having different goals from our parents has become quiet common and the same thing is witness while we readers come across Aparanjita. The book slowly take a pace and offer a twist all of a sudden which turns everyone's lives upside down. It highlights the essence of parents in our life. At the ending, the mistake is shared in Public and I was just nodding to it because everything was so true.
I somehow guessed this book to fall under the genre where teenagers especially females are into addiction or at wrong path through the cover. Throught the book, we can understand the character more than connecting to them. Having multiple stories, this book is gripping since from the beginning, offering homely environment along with a dark reality of outside world. The ending was emotional yet I found it really perfect. It is a must read for all the teenagers.
Let us nurture our children in a free & caring environment without putting the burden of our new expectations & aspirations & them just one thing - To be Happy!!
This line seems so relevant after reading this book.
"Addiction" - Be it of any thing is bad. This addiction can sometimes control you and can lead you in troubles, just like the main characters of this book falls into.
The Author has beautifuly raised voice for the youths to get rid of their addiction through a strong social message, which is a reality check on today's generation.
The lead characters had a habit of hiding things from their parents & their parents constant interfere had left them frustrated and thats why they lie also from them.
Due to this habit, unaware of the circumstances they encounter drug peddlers who use them as pawns for safely supplying drugs. Their journey after this becomes a roller coaster ride & changes completely.
The poem "Where Mind is without Fear" is worth reading and can be visualised & relatable at times.
This story will surely make a strong impact on its readers. The narration is crisp & clear. The language used is easy to understand.
The book also highlights the importance of parents in our life, which you will get to know once u start reading this book. The book's ending shows us the importance of saying truth, as the guilty is shared and accepted in Public. Will it be a happy ending? This is a must read 🥳
The story starts with Aparajita and her mother who's asking her to finish her breakfast before leaving the house. Aparajita has her college friends Aniket, Deepanita and Siddharth. Aparajita is one and only daughter of famous politician Mr. Neel Mukherjee, who wants her to be an economist, he has so much expectations from Aparajita.
But Aparajita wants to become a choreographer, basically she has her own dreams and she wants freedom even her friends. Whereas, destiny brings a major change and they [Aparajita and her friends] encounters drug. This makes everyone showering questions on them.
Now, what's next? How Aparajita & her friends will deal with the situation?
Storyline is perfectly amazing and book has really amazing writing style and content to be read. Title is different along with the beautiful cover of the book. I enjoyed the whole book and I must say it's one of the great read...
" In pursuit of ecstasy" is a story of four college mates and their journey, written by author Sujata Parashar. Book has an engaging plot which is quite impressive.
Plot of the story revolves around four students Aprajita, Sidharth, Deepannita and Aniket who all are facing pressure of expectations from their parents but they all want to chase different dreams. Soon they trapped in drugs. Their life took a complete turn and they had to struggle to change the situation.
Now it's interesting to read that how they thrive among all the hurdles. Writing style of Author is unique and captivating and I loved the touch of Bengali inbetween conversations.
Life’s not a bed of roses. Every stage has its share of problems. The real victory, therefore, lies in overcoming fears and conquering the battles without thinking about giving up. Based on a similar lesson, In Pursuit of Ecstacy touches upon the cliched problems of teenage years and the aftermath of following what the heart desires blindly. This story is about friendship, introspection and the realization that life’s fair to all even amidst its tumultuous and maze-like structure!
The book is divided into several chapters, and the book's first chapter is titled Aparajita. This leads to a pitch-perfect introduction of the first character. The other characters are also introduced similarly. How self-consciousness and discovery come into the picture in the story is interesting. Reading this book was a good experience.
The book is the story of the life of 3 Characters who love life in their ways. Being young, the characters also get steered towards drugs and other things. These things change their lives, outcomes, and relationships and result in self-introspection. The book is entertaining and shows an interesting direction towards improving it with self-talk.
It is a story if four friends, Aparajita, Deepanita, Aniket and Siddharth. Along with being friends they have a lot in common. Destiny had some plans for these four friends. They encounter drugs. Their journey from here makes them question a lot about them. It is a good book. It is very well written and the writing style is good too.
The writer has touched the theme infidelity that everyone wants to have and at the same time everyone rues. It is the absence of infidelity that every couple wants to lead a thorn less and pang less life. But it seems in Indian society this is a common thing. In India every woman wants her husband to be faithful to her. But life is not so in the changed situation. The workaholic lifestyle and the hunger to get rich in a very short span of time, many couple leave their children to governess or in the creche. And both the husband and the wife hop from conference to conference, prepare reports and earn a hefty salary at the end of the month.
But this workaholic lifestyle or career oriented life has got the seed of the break of fidelity or faith. Owing to insecure mentality, neither wife nor husband nurtures love towards anyone but remain inside a cocoon that they tend to create with the passage of time. Wife doubts her husband and vice versa. Marriage is an institution that rests solely on the fabric of faith and unless this fabric is there joining a wife and husband, there is chances of breakage or divorce.
Sheena loves Gaurav but no one had time to show love towards each other and in the end they found themselves leading a forced life without any zing or ripple or feeling. ‘I am busy’ both would say to each other. But married life is not so and never rests on distance and harping of the cliché ‘Darling I love you.’ Actually, the writer seems to suggest that marriage and relation should be saved and both partners should have enough room for the relation. Solely, for financial security one cannot push a relation to the wall as both Gaurav and Sheena did in the novel.
It is for this reason; Nikhil exploited the vacuum in the mind and heart of Sheena. Sheena was so blind that she also wanted to leave Gaurav.
The writer Sujata Parashar has touched the subject in a very good manner but stopped short of showing a bold path. She is an Indian and quietly did the Indian thing to allow Sheena and Gaurav to patch up, forget and forgive. Regrettably, the boldness is entering into the minds of the present generation as a majority of them think the institution of marriage is nothing but a temporary arrangement.
“In pursuit of Infidelity” is a well crafted Chik Lit novel written in plain English. The writer being a woman has touched the theme of sex in a very subtle way. She also depicted the importance of sex in the institution of marriage. It is a sine qua non of married life as life cannot be propelled further with the cliché of ‘I love you.’ She has not been that open as far as handling the theme of sex but was laconic.
In the end, the judge asked them to give a try to save their married life as breaking was but a dash of pen away. In all “In Pursuit of Infidelity” is a good read.
The cover and title are apt with the plot. It begins with the table which sorts out the different characters' name and their relationships with each other. This is definitely very helpful for any new reader. The book starts with a scene of ordinary household where the interaction between youngster and mother is potraited. But as the plot goes forth, Aparajita, Deepanita, Aniket and Siddharth, the ordinary college students having ordinary life but they get indulge in drugs. Obviously their ordinary lives is disturbed by this new element but the tale after is something the reader has to discover by reading this unputdownable book. It's a contemporary fictional with a well paced plot. There are several characters involved in this book yet the each is given sufficient scope to contribute to the plot in their own way. Plus the narration is super friendly, it's simple and easy making it a comfortable read. The language used is lucid.
This book is nothing more then a piece of crap. After reading her first book, I had great expectation from her. But it all over now, will never suggest this book to anyone.
