An entertaining comic connected to the movie version of the Transformers, this volume covers the events that led to the antipathy between Optimus Prime and Megatron. Although it doesn't explore the emotions of the characters in great depth, the attempt to see inside the thoughts of the characters was interesting. I was pleasantly surprised by the art of Andrew Griffith, who did a fairly good job of enabling the reader to tell one transformer from another, although those unfamiliar with the transformers would still find this a struggle. My only big complaint was the art did not do a good job of differentiating flashbacks from current events. Overall, an enjoyable read.
Finally I got around to starting these. I have been very eager to do so once I found out they existed.
This story was excellent and displayed all the great info of the back story, thus being called a prequel. I really loved it and got to see how and why things happened to certain characters and why the events of the films happened and the way that they did.
I also got to see characters that I knew about in new light and smirk because I knew what was in store for them in the film later on.
Great work and I am excited and eager to read the others.
