Sarah Brady's story is powerful and inspiring. My two complaints are that the writing style leaves something to be desired, which is not entirely unexpected for a memoir, and that the focus of the book is a little...off. It seems as though she couldn't decide to make this book an overall memoir of her life or just of her gun control battles, so instead of either, oddly combined the two ideas.

And one last comment: as a democrat, I'm a little baffled by the division b/t political parties when it comes to gun issues. I would think everyone would want to keep guns out of the wrong hands. Not out of all, hands, merely the hands of those citizens who are incapable of being responsible gun owners. I realize that we could debate for years which people are "responsible" but I really appreciated Sarah Brady's view on gun control as a republican. Seems like she has a very good head on her shoulders about the realities of letting guns go to those who would engage in gun violence against innocent people.

Interesting since we knew Sarah and Jim way back when. They have really gone through a lot and you have to think about how lucky we are. But can't believe that she is still smoking despite the lung cancer.

Great Story about the woman behind the BRADY BILL ( making it tougher for criminals to get their hands on guns legally). Her husband was shot trying to protect President Ronald Reagan from a shooter. Interesting historical account.

Interesting autobiography about Sarah and Jim Brady - made even more relevant in that they live near Rehobeth Beach near where friends have a home....written 10 years ago but still readable.....
