Mikayla’s men are keen to start their family, but when things go wrong, can Mikayla really keep eight husbands happy? Feeling sad and rundown, and trying desperately to hide it from her men, Mikayla is glad to have some time on Earth with her best friend, Tracey. Her husbands Brock and John travel with her, but their concerns ratchet higher when they overhear her conversation.

With the news of the mouse tears aphrodisiac properties somehow leaked to the public, the jungle planet is now being raided on a daily basis. Lachlan and Bryce are spending more time rescuing raiders from their own stupidity than getting geological surveys done and are starting to wonder if this contract is even worth the effort.

To make matters worse, Peter's ex-fiancée is stirring up trouble again, and it seems someone on the jungle planet has an unusual plan for a couple of Mikayla's men.

1era lectura: 3 estrellas.

Grr this book was just frustrating!! Mikalya just would not stop whining. I might sound harsh but I mean she was in a "funk" for 6 months. It is understandable for her to be emotionally crazy after a miscarriage but there comes a point were you need to put your big girl panties on.

In this fourth book from Abby Blake’s series, things get really rough for Mikayla, and for the first time, she isn’t just bouncing back.

She is back on the new planet with all her husbands, but she just isn’t the same spunky woman they all fell in love with. Things have gotten really crazy since news of the mouse tear aphrodisiac leaked to the public. Raiders are landing on the planet daily, and some of the men have to remain on the alert.

When Mikayla can’t break out of the depression she’s been in since the miscarriage, the men decide she needs to visit her doctor back on Earth and maybe also spend some time with her friend Tracey. The doctor discovers that Mikayla has a vitamin deficiency, but there is another problem, a secret she is keeping from her husbands. She is terrified of becoming pregnant again, and doesn’t know how to tell them.

It doesn’t help matters that one of the scientists on the planet has decided to try and take a couple of Mikayla’s men away from her, and that Peter’s ex-fiancée is making more threats to their happiness. Is it any wonder she begins to doubt whether she is enough for all her husbands? Can the men convince Mikayla she is all they want and need? Can they find a way to stop Peter’s ex once and for all? Can Mikayla get her fighting spirit back in time stop things from going wrong?

Mikayla has been through a lot in a short while, and it is finally getting to her. Although she loves all eight of her husbands, for the first time she questions whether she made the right choice for them. She is still recovering from her miscarriage, and also has a vitamin deficiency from living off planet for so long. Brock and John take her to Earth to get some much needed rest and relaxation, and to spend time with Tracey. I enjoyed this, because it was more like real life, if real life included eight handsome hunks as husbands.

Mikayla is a strong character, but she loses a bit of herself and her confidence with the health problems she has. She becomes overwhelmed, and begins to doubt her own choices. I sympathized with her, and was delighted to see her turn it around toward the end of this story, and begin to show that spark she had in the beginning.

Mikayla’s husbands are all still totally devoted to her happiness, but, like typical men, they don’t get how losing the baby affected her so deeply. I liked that they were willing to give her the space and time she needed to come to terms with things and open up in her own time. Each man brings something different to the relationship, but their love is what will finally get Mikayla through it all.

There are some hilarious scenes here, especially when the raiders are exposed to the ‘mouse tears’. Some of the secondary characters are interesting, and I hope to see more of Tracey and her husbands in the rest of this series. Does Mikayla reveal her doubts and fears to the men she loves? You’ll have to read Keen Inclination to get the answer. But, as always, this series must be read in order, as these are not stand-alone books.

Like contemporary marriages, Mikayla is feeling the stress of caring for eight brothers and has learned to cherish any alone time she can carve out for herself. But she is still feeling the effects of an ectopic pregnancy she suffered recently, even though she is physically healed, she has an overarching sadness that seems to permeate her days and is affecting her relationship with her men. Discovering she has a vitamin deficiency is only a small part of the problem. Her failure to communicate her fears and her feelings is causing a widening breech between her and her men. Now Peter's ex is still on the warpath claiming that their marriage is a fraud. Oh brother . . . so far this novella involves all the brothers and Mikayla is some serious issues that could negatively impact their future together. I continue to find this whole scenario to be fun and marvel that anyone could even think that such a family configuration could work.
I sincerely hope that Mikayla doesn't crash and burn . . . eight men? Well, enough said.

Keen Inclination is book four in the menage erotica series, A Bride for Eight Brothers, by Abby Blake. This story is my least favourite so far. Mikayla is insecure and pulling away from her eight husbands. She's intimidated by the neighbouring female scientists and its affecting her relationship with her husbands. Peter's ex-fiance is still causing trouble and Mikayla is worried about getting pregnant again. The story needed some work, especially for an erotica series. The sex was boring until the very end.

3 1/2 stars. Really hated the introduction of the bitchy female scientists into Mikayla's situation with her husbands but as always, their interactions were thoroughly distracting. Would really like it if Mikayla could meet some more nice females instead, even the Davdison's mother who should be more understanding was a bit bitchy in this story and I found it took some of the fun out of it.
