Tears of the Heart

Rate this book
Water is life, the most vital sign of existence. How can plants endure the scorching heat if they are not watered on time? Similarly, how can a human being become mature without acquiring enough spiritual sustenance?

The Tears of the Heart is a compilation of the timeless truths of the Mathnawi.
The work elucidates the parables carefully chosen from the Mathnawi in light of the Quran and Sunnah, filtered through the vast ocean of the heart. These parables help one gain acquaintance with his own ego, acknowledge his Creator and penetrate into the truth of matter. Putting on display the strengths and weaknesses of human beings, it extends them the keys to eternal happiness.

How can one tackle ignorance without having his spiritual nourishment? How can he find his way unless there are books that shed light on his path?

The Mathnawi is what is on hand in The Tears of the Heart. It extends a cup of water to roses parched from the rose garden. Now, how about having a taste of that elegance?

I'm still reading this precious jewel when I lost it somewhere in the midst of the chaos of my wedding. During the period of my acquaintance with this book, I really took my time to finish each sentence and paragraph. In every line there is beauty and wisdom which I long to comprehend. Hopefully, I will be able to get the chance to meet again with this friend of mine and let him pour all the treasures hidden within his chest.

Till we meet again, InshaAllah.

Flip to any page and you'll find treasure (for the heart). Filled with mini stories that gives new dimensions of the truth. Every teaching in this book have to be thoroughly thought, analyzed and internalized. It took me close to a year to finish just because I re-read some parts and refer to a teacher to understand it's deeper meaning.

That type of challenging good, but the preachiness about the ways of the world takes away from it in my opinion
