And this is why she’s the G.O.A.T!!!😩😩I knew when I told myself I’d wait until the series finished before reading that was a bald headed lie 🤣🤣 and after the way the book ended I swear I regret it 😩😩😩!!! Antoinette!!!!!! Why do you do is like this?!? Huh?! Ugh this was soooooo dãmn goodt!!! Shabu and Savvy went through it in this book. There were some high high’s and some low low’s but one things for sure and two things for certain, they’re in this love thing DEEP! She’s apprehensive because he’s in the streets but she see’s his potential and knows he’s destined for great things. He’s apprehensive because he’s never had a woman truly be his peace, to hold him down without wanting anything in return, someone in his corner that has his back, front and sides. Unfortunately a potential secret threatens to destroy that so he’s afraid to give her 100% because he knows the secret will shatter everything they want for their lives and he can’t handle the heartbreak. I’m rooting everyone to win especially after everything that was exposed in this book. Relic and Jessica….. DEEP!!! Whew baby I wasn’t ready. Los and NuNu that secret is coming out smh 🤦🏽♀️! I need Titan and Michi to get it together!!! I hope book 3 is in the works because I need to see how this ends!!

I have been locked in you hear me!!! Shabu and Savvy are finally together, but staying together has been a stressful azz challenge. It's clear they are in love, but with all the lies and omissions is love enough? The exes are showing their azzes. Kelis with her trifling azz really thinking she still that girl threw me and Shabu knows he should have handled her immediately. His loyalty to her was not warranted. Then Eric's soft azz had some nerve and to cause all that drama, he deserved to catch a fade.
They were young and trying to navigate this crazy love with this unknown cloud looming over them and it was proving to be too much. As long as the baby doesn't belong to Cliff's creep azz, ugh or Relic, or forget it Eric either...this just ain't gone end well 😩
I love these covers. It really captures Shabu's essence with his dirty sprite.

This is TOO MUCH. We don’t know who the father is because it’s being dragged through the mud. All these damn secrets and web of lies I CAN NOT. I’m really looking at everyone side ways except Savvy and Michi at this point.

I don’t know what to say but that was a wild ride! And we aren’t done! I have sooo many questions about everything and the revelations revealed were heavy! I’m not sure who is the baby’s father but God I hope it isn’t Eric’s! The revelations from Jessica and Nubia were both crazy. The situation between Kelis and Relic is the only reason I’m still side-eyeing Los. He knew about it but was upset about Nubia having secrets with Shabu. Titan and Michi still can’t get right and tbh it’s both their fault. I’m running to book 3 because I have to see how it all ends. This urban romance saga has me hooked and waiting for the final resolution!!

The skeletons came out of the closet hard in this one! Man, so much deception and so many secrets revealed.
Shabu had me thinking this whole book - THAT’S A GOOD MAN SAVANNAH!! He wasn’t perfect but I’ll be damn if he wasn’t trying his hardest to be everything to everybody. This book made me realize how frustrated I get when I start loving a couple and they can’t get it right - arguing and breaking up. He and Savvy are young so I get it but damn. Stall us out, Debo!
I loved the banter between titan and Michi. I would love to read a spin off about them.

Wow! Savvy and Shabu can’t seem to catch a break! This second book has been nothing but a roller coaster ride. Im so glad that the suspense behind baby girl’s paternity is over. I had a feeling nasty @$$ Clive was introduced for a reason and I’m grateful that it wasn’t what I thought it was. Jessica is a freaking heaux @$$ snake, I hope that her and Relic can get some act right for the sake of their son. I love the dynamic between Titan and Michi and I’m rooting for a HEA between the two.

Wow. Shabu. Savvy. Michi. Titan. Really the whole fold. Like I can’t put into words how good this series is, and I felt like I was in a chokehold. Shabu’s realism and rudeness. Savvy’s sweet and spicy self. They were exactly what each other needed in their corner. Life had been hitting hard for Savvy and Michi, but both were determined to make it. Michi was the tough girl, but wanted love. And Titan was so patient, but persistent.
Oh! And let’s not forget about Savvy and Michi’s unbreakable bond. Like the care and protection they have for each other was so endearing. Also, I love that we got to see inside the Haitian culture through this series. These stories kept getting better and better. Can’t wait to read more this series and by this author.

I NEED PART 3 NOW I usually don’t comment on parts of series until completion but this is not it now I gotta wait for part 3 this is pure torture I should have waited to read it all in one because I need to know everything this was just the icing on the secrets being let out finally now we need the real answer to the biggest question. I got a hunch but I need it confirmed 🥹🥹. Please Ms Antoinette take your time making part 3 just as good as part 1-2 but at the same time we need to know I’m so conflicted 😭

This series is getting better and better. I can't wait to read the next book. We'll find out who's who and who did what. The griminess is at an all time high and so is the drama. It's about real life situations that can happen when you live a hard life with no real parents to care about your wellbeing.

OMG
This was sooooooo good. I didn’t know what to expect but I know one thing for sure Shabu is Bae. He been all about Savvy and her baby. Savvy is what Shabu needs to balance his crazy life. I still love Michi and Titan. They are hilarious and made for each other hopefully they work out. To summarize this one secret babies, family grudges, exes that can’t accept they are the ex, fake relationships and more secrets revealed. I loved this book just as much if not more than the first one. Can’t wait for part 3.

Rollercoaster Ride From Beginning To End
Part 2 is a page turner for sure. Its a little frustrating we still don’t know who Savvy’s baby father is. The love & loyalty Shabu shows is what makes this book good. I’m still invested and hope book 3 will gives us the answers we’re waiting on. Gave it 4 stars because periodically throughout the book the dialogue of who is speaking amongst the characters is confusing.

Well, I be damned. This story just keeps getting better and better. Everybody in this damn story has too many skeletons to count for me!
We pick up this story with Shabu (or Shabooya as Tootie called him) trying to navigate his new relationship with Savvy, family/brotherly woes, ending a dead relationship, and trying to get out of the street life and go clean.
I loved me some Shabu, but there were times when I wanted to punch him in the face. He required so much of Savvy, but at certain times gave so little to her. You’re out late running the streets and still got your baby mama laid up in a crib that you’re paying for, but you’re mad because my girl got scared and wanted to flee? That hold tight for me, Whoop shit was getting old!
Titan and Michi - I loved them to death. The two of them just need to be together already, but I understand why the both of them are so afraid to let their guards down.
Los and Nu - I need them to figure their shit out because GOTDAMN!
Tootie and Tema - One word: TTG.
Pierre - Love him and his craziness, but he needs to put a condom on.
Relic - This cold ass man! I don't care that we found out the truth, what he did to Jessica will never be forgiven. I knew these 2 were connected, but I didn’t know how deep it went. I don't know why the girls love this man!
Kelis - Count your days, hoe.

ALL OF IT. I love everything about this book and this series so far. Shabu's unconditional and unfettered love and loyalty is addictive. While he's not perfect he's perfect in every way for Savvy. And Savvys innocence and openness, her willingness to try, forgive, and give grace. These two are literally filling my heart to the Brim. And don't even get me started on Michi and Titan.
As frustrating as this book has been at times with the ups and downs. The uncertainty between Shabu and Savvy and who they are and want to be for one another. The mystery of things creating tension and chaos. Through all of that, my love for these characters has just made reading these books such a pleasure. And it's coming across books like this really make me remember to stop and appreciate that there are these gifted people in the world. Blessed to with the talent to tell these amazing stories and are kind enough to share them with the rest of us.

This book had me deep in my feelings. Antoinette Sherell did a great job illustrating the complexities of the characters' situations and their emotions surrounding them. At one point, I was surprised to find myself even tearing up. I am so happy that I do not have to wait to read the last book in this trilogy.

Lord have mercy this book is too good! Hood but good! Just a few things though! I understand Shabu loves Savvy but I don’t like the way he moves sometimes! He wanted Savvy to be loyal to him and wait etc but how you keep your ex gf in the house y’all shared, gave her money and you sleep at the house y’all shared when the drive home is too far. Sometimes he’s a clown and contradicts himself! He does too much entertaining with females before he makes his point! Poor Savvy is dealing with so much! I get her hesitancy at times because he is not always innocent. At this point there are too many secrets and foolishness going on. I just wanna know who the baby is for!

Really, I don't understand why a story has to end in a cliffhanger. Just tell the dang story and let me see what happens without all the extra. Part two was all over the place. Let's see, Shabu and Savvy can't stay on the same page for five minutes, and Relic' s actions were suspect. Titan and Michi need to figure it out. And... and the ending boiled my peanuts.

Chile this series is getting better and better Omg. I read some of the reviews and I’m lost as why no one is giving Savvy some grace when it comes to these situations. Savvy has been surrounded by people who do her wrong or abandoned her besides Michi plus the fact that she is only 18. It’s like Shabu wants this perfect person he made up in his head when he ain’t even perfect. He had her thinking Kelis was done but he was still dragging her along even though it wasn’t physical but he still had her comfortable enough to come up to the hospital. I would’ve left him as well cause why she here and you acting as if I did something when I’m checking on the baby. Everybody giving him grace cause he taking on a baby that ain’t his but nobody asked him to do that so it can’t be thrown in Savvy face. It’s like it’s forgotten that she saved him by being on her p’s and q’s when he wasn’t and ion like that. Titan the only one with some sense but I guess that happened since he don’t have so many demons like the rest. I can’t even feel bad for Relic because you put bad out and that’s what you get back. Relic… while I despised Relic in the first book, I found myself feeling for him a little in this book only for him to make me hate him all over again then take me right back to wondering if I really had anything to be mad at him for. The ending suggests that I do but for some reason I’m thinking Relic may not be the bad guy we’re thinking he is.
Judith made me so mad I rolled my eyes every time I saw her name. I thought I understood her but after the hospital stunt she was back on my 💩 list. Also on that list is Kelis and Jessica but I figured Jessica out early.

Two broken people can either lift each other up or break each other down. Savvy knew what she was getting herself into dealing with a guy like Shabu. She knew the dangers of dealing with a man in the streets. Seems like at the first sign of trouble. She's ready to duck out on him. Shabu have stepped up for Savvy big time. The love he have for her and her baby is unmatched. There's nothing he wouldn't do for her including harming his own brother when he thought Relic was behind her being violated at Titan party. Shabu mother is rude and act like she's his damn man. She need to mind her business. Kelis need to keep it moving. Shabu has been done with her. Pierre know his ass is messy as hell. He be telling everything. Jessica is scandalous. Her and Relic are made for each other. Although he's part of the reason why she's a snake. I wholeheartedly understand Michi and why her guard is up. After being sexual abused by her step father and her mother turning a blind eye. The only family and only person she gave a damn about is Savvy but Titan has made his way into her heart too. She's afraid to allow anyone close to her. I can't wait for part three because the way this ended. All hell have broken loose.
