Ze legt zich echter bij haar nieuwe situatie neer in de wetenschap dat haar leven door het politieke schandaal voor altijd veranderd zal zijn en ze tracht zoveel mogelijk met het ritme van de kloosterlingen mee te leven. Tot het moment dat ze in een bibliotheek een mysterieus dagboek vindt. Geschreven in Egypte in het jaar 1928 door ene Jeremy Matheson, een Engelse rechercheur. In dat jaar is Caïro in de ban van een serie gruwelijke moorden op kinderen. Hun lijken worden gevonden in de smalle, verlaten straatjes van de arme wijken van de stad of in de tombes in de necropolis, en hun lichamen zijn met veel geweld verminkt. De locale bevolking is ervan overtuigd dat de moordenaar een 'ghoela' is, een vrouwelijke boze geest uit de verhalen van Duizend-en-één-nacht.

Enfant discret, Maxime Chattam grandit en région parisienne. Il n'est pas particulièrement brillant à l'école mais se passionne pour le cinéma. À quatorze ans, après avoir regardé le film Stand by Me, il se met à le réécrire en rajoutant des péripéties. Il découvre le livre Le Seigneur des anneaux et les romans de science-fiction de Stephen King notamment. Il suit le cours Simon, devient figurant dans un spectacle de Robert Hossein, et joue dans plusieurs téléfilms. Son premier livre, plein d'humour, s'intitule Le Coma des mortels. Il fait plusieurs petits boulots et reprend ses études de lettres modernes à la fac. Pour se faire connaître du milieu du livre, il entre à la FNAC, mais n'a toujours pas envoyé de manuscrit aux maisons d'édition. Il suit une formation de criminologie pendant un an où il étudie la psychiatrie criminelle, la police technique et scientifique et la médecine légale. Il assiste même à des autopsies et rencontre des spécialistes pour préparer son roman. Toujours libraire, il consacre ses week-ends à son projet de thriller. Il rédige L'Âme du mal en 2001 et l'envoie à trois maisons d'édition. Un soir, Michel Lafon le contacte et lui propose de signer un contrat. In Tenebris sort en mars 2003 alors qu'il est déjà en train d'écrire Maléfices. Cette même année, il achève le troisième opus de la trilogie Maléfices. Il publie en 2005 Le Sang du temps. En tout, Maxime Chattam signe cinq romans et parvient à réaliser son rêve d'enfant.

Daarna zijn vrijdag en zaterdag een beetje bijzonder, met de storm... en volgende week neemt broeder Damien u mee naar Avanches, om wat orde in de bibliotheek aan te brengen, als u dat wat lijkt.” Marion knikte zonder veel enthousiasme. Ze voelde alle blikken op haar waren gericht....****
Thriller met twee verhaallijnen. De eerste verhaalt van Marion, die onderduikt op Mont. Ze wordt daar ondergebracht door de Franse geheime dienst. Haar leven is in gevaar doordat ze over en geheim stuitte. Ze is in ontkenning dat ze in gevaar is en toch realiseert ze het zich wel. Het tweede deel speelt zich af in Caïro in 1928.de sfeer van dit deel van het boek wordt gezet door een dagboek wat Marion vind in een boek in de bibliotheek die zij helpt op te ruimen. Het verhaal slokt haar op. De karaktertrekken en wat het allemaal met iemand doet hadden voor mij wat meer uitgediept mogen worden. Op die manier was het tijdsverschil ook wat beter uit de verf gekomen wat het boek ten goede zou komen. Een echt eind is er niet. Het is aan de lezer alle puntjes met elkaar te verbinden. 🌹🌹🌹

Well, what do I say about this book which I bought after reading some reviews. Not a very good idea; since I almost always were disappointed in books which I bought after reading reviews on the internet. This was no exception to that theory of mine.

Since its a thriller book, I don't want to point out the story. Only thing I can reveal is that here are two narratives, one set in present day France and one in Cairo of 1928. Every page of the France narrative was DUH DUH and some more DUH. Only the Cairo narrative held my interest enough to help me finish the book.

The writing/narrative is elementary at best and the pace is really slow.

The reason behind the present situation of protagonist in France is so laughable I almost didn't finish the book. But the devout reader in me doesn't like waste of books bought and not read. So i did finish the book and I must say good that I did. Because the writer redeems himself in the last few pages of the book. The ending is really good. So i give the book two stars.

Afterthought- Its not so much about the story but the way it ends which makes this book readable enough one time. But one really should have a lot of patience to go to the end of the book.

From the blurb I thought this would book be right up my street and though I had not heard of the author before and not read any reviews on any of her books I thought I would take a risk and go for it. However I was left disappointed and unsatisfied with the book.

This book had the slowest beginning, sixty six pages in and I was still waiting for some sort of introduction to the main character Marion, who to be honest in the first sixty pages did nothing but annoy me though the author did nothing to help this as there was little description to how Marion had ended on this mountain and anything about her life.

As the story developed I was left to wonder why I took such a risk on this book as there seems to be little to recommeed it. The writing style was very dry and though sometimes this can help enhance the book, in this case it did nothing to help the book but instead increased the pain that was felt when reading this book.

I believe in taking the odd risk when reading a book and all books deserve a chance, but this one did not pay off in my eyes.

Dit is één van de boeken die ik alleen al voor de kaft wilde hebben. Dit nodigde natuurlijk ook uit tot het lezen ervan.

Het is absoluut niet langdradig, saai. Al zijn er veel historische feiten in verweven.
Het is vlot, spannend en realistisch geschreven.

Dit wordt echt duidelijk door de verhaallijnen die goed binnen de tijdlijns passen. Al zijn het twee verhalen door elkaar.

De schrijver heeft veel kennis van Egypte en de gewoonten van toen. Ik raad hem aan als je van vlotte verhalen en van spanning houdt. Je krijgt er geen spijt van. Echt niet!

Dit is dus een van de beter boeken met twee verhaal lijnen. Die doordat de tijdslijn kloppend is, ook naadloos samengevoegd worden tot dit spannende verhaal.

De hoofd personage's blijven een mysterie maar geeft zich ook bloot.

Het geeft wel wat ruimte om in je hoofd de hoofdpersonen zelf een beetje in te kleuren.
Dat maakte het lezen nog leuker.

Cuốn sách là một tập hợp những ngôn từ như được khiêu vũ . Một cuốn sách trinh thám như đưa người đọc vào khu vườn mơ màng, ở đây thực tại và quá khứ đan xen. Nhưng đâu là sự thật , đậu là ảo mộng ? Hồi hộp có, gay cấn có, tình cảm có, đồng thời cũng có những thứ chưa hợp lí. Cuốn sách này đối với mình để nói về trinh thám thì thật sự chưa được đã lắm. Bí mật là những câu chuyện rất đỗi bình thường hay những câu chuyện bình thường lại là những bí mật kinh khiếp.

Hard to know exactly what to say about this book. I read it because one of the plot lines takes place in Mont Saint Michel and I want to go there. Heard the author on La Grande Librairie, read his short essay on the Mont. I read this in French - parts were clear and moved along nicely, other parts were just verbose - this sort of thing in English I would call "committing literature" unnecessarily.

Most other reviewers are correct, this is airport fiction or beach fiction. Imho parts are well written but other parts are just... tedious, repetitive. Descriptions of the Mont are evocative but not clear to one who doesn't have a map. His psychological generalizations about the people who live on the Mont are interesting but hardly more credible than his characters and their choices. It's all highly dramatized as one would expect with a "thriller." But it didn't thrill me.

Parts made me snore, parts kept me reading just to find out where the hell he would take this.
The ending wasn't predictable. But it was also somewhat disappointing since there was no real linking of the two plot lines and one of those just petered out disappointingly.
Perhaps his other books are better.
But I'm not moved to find out.

Hấp dẫn và bất ngờ, trừ việc tác giả cứ úp úp mở mở như kiểu cố ý gợi tò mò khiến mình không thích lắm. Điểm mình ưng ý nhất là lúc sắp đọc hết, tưởng chừng như kết thúc sẽ vô lý và nhạt nhẽo như vậy, nhưng rồi cú twist tuyệt vời đáp xuống khiến mình vừa kinh ngạc vừa gật gù như thể những mơ hồ trong đầu mình đã tìm được lời giải thích xác đáng. Và thêm nữa là mình thích cách kể chuyện của tác giả, nó từ tốn, bình tĩnh và giàu sự cảm thông, ngay cả với kẻ giết người. Câu chuyện cũng mang lại sự phấn khích nhờ cái cảm giác được kết nối với người thật việc thật cách ta cả thế kỉ.

Khá là cuốn cho những ngày thời tiết kiểu này hehe.
Hai dòng thời gian đan xen nhau đúng kiểu dựa trên Nghìn lẻ một đêm có được nhắc đến trong truyện.Đôi khi mang lại cả cảm giác mình là người thứ 3 đọc truyện của truyện của truyện:))
Đây là thể loại trinh thám kinh dị đầu tiên mình xem.Theo mình khá là hay và vừa vặn với người bắt đầu vì không quá nặng đô những phần miêu tả kinh dị.Tác giả cũng khá chú trọng tả cảnh và chú ý đến cảm giác của người đọc.Suggest nhạc nghe lúc đọc,rồi là cho người đọc giải ô chữ ở cuối cùng.
về plot các kiểu thì ừm vẫn cho mình cảm giác hơi hụt đấy,nhưng mà biết sao được vì xuyên suốt toàn câu chuyện, đôi khi một vài suy nghĩ của mình lại được đọc ngay ở phía sau quyển sách.Khi nghi vấn,suy đoán, rồi nghi ngờ về cái kết thực sự.Lập luận không phải quá chặt chẽ k kẽ hở như các tác phẩm khác nhưng chấp nhận được vì đôi khi sự thật chỉ có vậy :-).
Lúc đầu khá suy nghĩ việc rate 4 và 5 sao , cơ mà với mình vẫn là khá hoàn hảo sau 1 vài tác phẩm dạo gần đây mình đã đọc.Có lẽ hợp gu mình hi^^.Đủ để cảm thấy sốt sắng muốn lật giở cho đến hết khi quá 2/5 truyện đổ đi.
Rẽcommend cho beginner nha.

I enjoy reading French books from time to time and I still have a few unread books from my teenager years. I hadn't read this one so far and I finally decided to give it a go. It wasn't bad, but it wasn't exceptional either! The historical part of the story has been very interesting, but I somehow didn't feel connected to any of the main characters, which was a shame!

Bof. Ce roman m'a globalement déçu. L'intrigue est moyenne et les personnages n'ont aucunes profondeurs. Aucune empathie pour qui que ce soit, sinon pour le soudanais qui n'a malheureusement servi que d'épouvantail. Chattam n'est vraiment pas constant dans ses œuvres qui sont finalement comme une boite de chocolat. On ne sait jamais sur quoi on va tomber. Je continuerai néanmoins à le découvrir.

Je dirais plutôt 3,5/5
Le livre était vraiment sympa surtout la fin, honnêtement je m’attendais à tout sauf à ça. Le seul bémol qui me fait mettre une si piètre note pour un si bon livre c’est les quelques fois où le thème concernant la sexualité (et tout ce qui s’en rapproche) était présent. Ce n’est qu’un avis personnel mais je n’aime pas forcément lire ce genre de chose quand je lis des thrillers/policier (contrairement aux détails sordide et au gore présent dans certains livres (ce qui peut être un peu contradictoire je l’avoue)).
Enfin bref l’idée de 2 époques différentes étaient vraiment ingénieux, je recommanderai ce livre

Au moment d'attaquer ce thriller historique de Maxime Chattam, je voulais une lecture qui se dévorerait en quelques jours à peine, et qui me tiendrait en haleine jusqu'à la fin (pour bien changer de l'ambiance d'Hypérion). Eh bien, autant vous dire que c'est plutôt réussi.

L'auteur nous livre ici une histoire avec 2 trames narratives : d'une part on suit Marion, qui est obligée de se réfugier au Mont-Saint-Michel suite à un scandale qu'elle a déclenché à Paris (mystère mystère). De l'autre on va suivre le récit de Jérémy Matheson, un détective qui a vécu au Caire en 1928 et qui a consigné une enquête particulièrement sordide dans son journal intime, journal que Marion va retrouver et lire durant son séjour.

J'ai trouvé nettement plus passionnant l'histoire que raconte Jérémy car on a le droit à une enquête rondement menée et haletante, avec des détails glauques et des scènes d'actions efficaces, bref : la recette parfaite du thriller. L'histoire de Marion est plus monotone et m'a moins captivé, il faut le dire.

Ce récit a surtout permis de confirmer ce qui marchait avec moi chez Maxime Chattam, et ce qui ne marchait pas, dans ces thrillers purs et durs.
Les deux points positifs sont ceux cités plus-haut : l'intrigue, la narration et le rythme de ce récit m'ont permis de le dévorer en à peine 3 jours. C'est ce que je cherchais à ce moment là et le livre a parfaitement tenu son rôle de page-turner. Rien que pour ça, mon appréciation n'en est que meilleur.
Puis l'enquête en elle-même contient sa part d'originalité, par le lieu et l'époque, et encore une fois on sent que l'auteur s'est fortement renseigné avant d'aborder son roman. Je trouve également que les aspects fantastiques que Chattam incorpore dans ces thrillers marchent très bien, et que cela rajoute de l'originalité déjà présente de l'enquête.

Cependant, j'ai aussi pu remarquer certains défauts que je trouve redondant chez l'auteur.
Un exemple flagrant pour moi est que je n'arrive pas à m'attacher aux personnages féminins que l'auteur nous décrit. Et je pense que la raison est simple : Maxime Chattam n'arrive pas à se mettre dans la peau d'une femme, quand il faut la faire parler ou pour décrire les événements de son point de vue. Cela m'a convaincu dans ce récit : je n'étais absolument pas attaché à Marion, et certains des dialogues incluant uniquement des personnages féminins me semblaient bâtis sur des clichés. Il y a des auteurs qui ne peuvent pas faire parler leurs personnages du sexe opposé aux leurs, et je pense que Maxime Chattam en fait partie. Ce n'est pas grave, mais cela me permet de mieux appréhender mes prochaines lectures de celui-ci.

Enfin, last but not least, la fin du récit. Je ne peux pas trop en parler au risque de spoil, mais je n'ai pas totalement adhérer à la fin. Autant les twists finaux étaient intéressants et le fait que l'auteur nous redirige vers son site après les résolutions amplifie l'expérience de lecture, autant la conclusion finale de toute cette histoire ne m'a pas plus. Que ce soit du côté de Marion ou de Jeremy : l'auteur prétexte un sujet et une thématique qu'il abordera plus tard dans d'autres livres, mais qui pour moi permet simplement de ne pas diviser les lecteurs en ne livrant que partiellement la....Mince je ne peux pas le dire.
C'est une jolie esquive de sa part, mais une esquive quand même.

Je n'ai rien à dire au final, "Le Sang du Temps" m'a livré ce que je voulais : un thriller historique haletant, efficace avec des éléments originaux, et sans prise de tête. C'est ce que je cherchais, et je l'ai eu. Ce récit ne me marquera pas plus que ça, mais si vous cherchez un thriller historique facile avec des petits éléments glauque, allez-y. Chattam sait y faire.

Deux ans. Deux ans sans abandoner un livre, à tenir envers et contre tout. J'en ai lu, pourtant, des daubes. Il m'aura fallu 125 pages de Maxime Chattam pour balancer littéralement le livre et laisser tomber, absolument furieuse et dégoûtée.
Ne vous y trompez pas, ce ne sont pas les descriptions glauques des meurtres qui m'ont fait abandonner - ce serait un comble pour une fan d'horreur comme moi.
Ce n'est même pas le style absolument catastrophique, si médiocre qu'il en perd tout son sens, où Chattam écrit des mots compliqués histoire de faire genre qu'il a déjà ouvert un livre dans sa vie alors qu'on se retrouve avec des phrases qui veulent littéralement dire "La fenêtre donnait sur l'extérieur", sans dec, Maxime, il t'a fallu un master pour la trouver celle-là ?
Non, ce qui m'a profondément répugné c'est le contenu. Le roman se sépare en deux parties, l'une en 2005 avec une femme en personnage principal, et une en 1928 au Caire avec un homme anglais (écrire autre chose que des blancs c'est trop compliqué apparemment). On alterne donc entre des remarques mysogines ou racistes. Faites votre choix, les amis. Rien de trop direct, jamais d'insultes ou d'incitation à la haine mais bon dieu, des propos comme la "bestialité de l'Afrique" ou PP qui n'a pas à se plaindre de sa vie merdique parce que "malgré ses quarante ans elle reste belle" ? Si encore ça dénonçait quelque chose, qu'on y sentait une pointe d'ironie, mais non, Chattam se contente de nous tartiner la tête avec ses phrases immondes et toutes faites, ses clichés abscons et arriérés d'homme blanc des cavernes.
J'aurais pu vous faire la liste de toutes ces petites phrases problématiques, vicieuses et/ou moches (autant mêler l'inutile au désagréable) mais j'ai souffert pour que vous n'ayez pas à le faire.
C'est le troisième bouquin de Chattam que je souffre, et franchement, plus jamais ça.

Chattam was daring, intertwining the threads of two mysteries in this novel. One of the mysteries is set in recent modern times in France, though it is infected with the much older mystery set in Cairo, and thus sustains an old-fashioned and musty feel. The setting for the newer mystery--a remote and ancient stone monastery that is, if not neglected exactly, not easily renovated—contributes to a feeling of abandonment.

The back and forth between the two mysteries was successfully handled, and since the Cairo mystery was clearly the most urgent, the two threads did not tangle. I think the best part of the book, should you get there, is the ending, for this reader at least had only a couple of weak possibilities for solving the damnably gruesome and elusive central case. I note here that Europeans seem to have a greater tolerance for specificity when describing horrors, and as a result I found myself squirming uncomfortably as the tortures and degradations wrecked upon the victims of crimes in early 20th century Cairo were described in fulsome detail. I still cannot quite see why it was necessary for the author to pause in the forward action of the mystery to describe truly despicable acts in such detail.

When I began the mystery, I did not realize that the author was a man. That might explain why the female characters seemed colder and more distant than I expect, as a woman. Chattam did well, but there was something not quite spot-on about his characterizations that kept me conscious of my role as reader and bystander.

Truyện có 2 tuyến truyện thì tuyến truyện về Marion ở Pháp 2005 mình thấy quá mệt mỏi. Nếu cần thắc mắc về tại sao nhân vật chính lại phải đi trốn trên Mont- Saint- Michel thì phải chờ đến 3/4 mới được tiết lộ, và đến kết thì cũng không biết được chuyện gì xảy ra tiếp theo với cô này🙄🙄
Phần hấp dẫn hơn để níu mình cố gắng đọc hết quyển này là về vụ án ở Cairo 1928. Cơ mà có một điểm mình rất không thích là tác giả để cho nhân vật suy luận thủ phạm dựa trên cảm tính quá nhiều, gần cuối có thể lý giải cách tác giả xây dựng như vậy nhưng không, một lần nữa lại một người khác đi suy luận dựa trên cảm tính, để đến cuối tác giả bảo rằng sự thật ở riêng mỗi người😑😑Nản thực sự. Chắc cái cứu quyển này có chút ấn tượng là tinh thần mà tác giả lồng ghép về cái ác, mình khá thích.

Bon, ça va être rapide: je suis arrivé jusqu'à la page... voyons voir... 74. Sur 468.

J'avais pensé qu'il serait intéressant de lire un thriller français; après tout, le genre n'est pas un domaine réservé US - même si les Américains en sont maîtres. "Le sang du temps" est le cinquième ou sixième livre de l'auteur, donc on aurait pu penser qu'il avait eu le temps de se roder. On aurait pu.

Après une préface complètement ridicule, on est plongé dans l'action. Une certaine Marion est obligé de se réfugier au Mont Saint-Michel, on ne sait par pourquoi, elle fait connaissance d'un communauté de moines et de bonnes soeurs, elle trouve dans sa chambre un code à déchiffrer, on ne sait pas pourquoi non plus, elle déchiffre et s'en va vérifier seule dans la nuit, on ne sait toujours pas pourquoi.

Ça pourrait encore passer s'il n'y avait ce style boursoufflé, ces comparaisons inutiles et tirées par les cheveux, ces paragraphes courts et phrases hachées pour suggérer le sens dramatique et d'autres maladresses d'écriture dont normalement on apprend à se défaire dès le premier semestre d'un atelier "creative writing".

A la page 56, Marion se demande, je cite, "Qu'est-ce que c'est que cette connerie?". Exactement ce que je me suis demandé aussi.

Đọc xong lúc 2h đêm mà còn tức mất một lúc mới ngủ được :))) chưa bao giờ đọc trinh thám mà ghét cái tính cách của cha thám tử aka cảnh sát điều tra đến mức ấy luôn.
Nguyên cả quyển sách là truyện lồng trong truyện, cơ mà 1 trong 2 truyện lại không thật sự nổi bật và không có điểm nhấn, thậm chí nghe có chút hơi phi lý, gần như chỉ đóng vai trò người kể chuyện cho câu chuyện còn lại. Câu chuyện về giết hại trẻ con dã man tương đối cuốn nhưng cách kể chuyện có chút dài dòng, đan xem giữa 2 mốc thời gian giữa thực tại và câu chuyện trong cuốn nhật kí về hành trình phá án của cha thám tử đáng ghét đã nói ở trên.

Airport lit. There are two interwoven stories in this book, and I found that Marion's story was really kind of pointless. It didn't really go anywhere. Marion reads the Cairo diary, and the author uses her character to compliment his own writing, which is the most transparent tool ever, and it's really annoying. He constantly has Marion make comments or have thoughts that go something like, "Well, in those Agatha Christie novels..." or "Well, fiction is so predictable and neat, but what could you expect from real life?" It's kind of annoying, but still it was a fun fast read. I felt like it was rather predictable.

strange book - hard to put down but some sections were so clunky it made me wince!
I liked both the stories but felt that the way he tries to interweave them was the least successful part of the book, apart from finding the link between the two at the end. That was worth it.
I read this because of the Cairo in the title as i am fascinated by anything Arabic at the moment ... the Egyptian sections were fairly interesting though sketchy.
I am not a real detective mystery person so this was fun but not brilliant literature ... having said that there was some very lovely lucid writing at times, especially about Mont St Michel, the sea, the wind and the buildings

i might not last very long on this one. the "note to the reader" at the beginning was a HUGE turnoff, and the writing so far (i think i am on page 12) sucks.

i read this lovely essay in the new yorker a week or two ago about magicians, and about how the less they call attention to the mechanics of the trick they are doing, the better they are at their craft. i feel this way about suspense/mystery novels. if the manipulation of the reader is obvious, i can't enjoy the ride. that's (part of) why i HATED the da vinci code, and why i think i'm done with this tripe.

Nominally a murder mystery, there are two separate story lines, one of which is tracked through a modern day character reading a diary. The earlier one is set in 1920s Cairo and I found it more interesting, but only just. With about 50 pages to go, I realized I had a lot of other books to read from the library checked out and I just didn't care how this comes out (or both the stories, I suppose). I realized I should probably do this more often since there are lots of good books to read but only so much time.

Perhaps a poor translation from the French didn't help, either.

Kitap yazarın okuyucuya notu ile başlıyor. Burada yazar kitabı "The Village" filminin müzikleri eşliğinde okumamızı öneriyordu. Başta ilginç gelen bu tavsiyeyi deneyimleyince hoşuma gitti. Filmin gergin müzikleri kitap ile birleşince güzel bir ikili oldu. Bence her yazar kitabı için okuyuculara müzik listesi önermeli.

Structure originale qui permet au lecteur de plonger dans un suspens fort bien mené. Difficile de parler de ce livre sans trop en dévoiler, et s’il est différent de la trilogie, il est tout aussi captivant !
De quoi le relire, histoire de voir ce qui a bien pu nous échapper !

Not so difficult and interesting enough ... Things are quite straightforward ... Lack of depth in the story ... The idea (two parallel cases) is not so new and has not been leveraged enough.

Ce thriller fut une très bonne surprise. En débutant ma lecture, j’avais un peu peur que la double temporalité m’embrouille. Au final, pas le moins du monde.

Mes parties favorites sont celles consacrées à l’enquête du détective Matheson, un enquêteur un peu bourru, durant l’année 1928. Son côté froid le rend difficile à cerner, mais suivre ses traces à travers son journal fut plaisant ! Mention spéciale à Azim que j’ai beaucoup aimé !

Concernant le point de vue de Marion (2005), je l’ai trouvé intéressant, mais moins prenant que l’enquête qui se déroule au Caire. On se demande qui observe Marion dans l’ombre, mais au final, ce n’est pas très poussé (hormis la fin du roman qui m’a retourné le cerveau, haha !) Je suis d’ailleurs un peu déçue de ne pas avoir eu le fin mot de l’histoire concernant l’affaire qui a mené Marion à être conduite au Mont-Saint-Michel.

Le côté “goule” est bien exploité. Jusqu’à la toute fin, la mystérieuse créature demeure glaçante.

Parlons d’ailleurs des révélations ! J’avoue que je ne m’y attendais pas du tout. Très surprise, pour le coup ! (Même si au final, on ne sait pas réellement quelle est la stricte vérité).

Quoi qu’il en soit, j’ai dévoré ce roman ! Si vous avez l’âme un peu sensible, je vous le déconseille. On parle quand même de meurtres d’enfants d’une violence inouïe. Sinon, je vous recommande vivement cette lecture !
