It had good information but nothing inspirational or new. I have to say the pictures were not my favorite. The author herself was the example for various exercises and that was not the best idea she had. The pictures float without a frame or level ground. So you see her doing dead lifts but the angle is weird and you're not sure where the floor is so it looks like she's tipping over and asking for an injury. Most of the models wear long pants so can see the right form very well. This might be good for beginners. Can't wait to get the other book from the library.

Nice to see a serious strength training book aimed at women. No prissy little insulting pink dumbbells here and no talk of "toning." Just solid training info and better than average exercise descriptions. Good stuff for women or men.

I got this after joining the gym. It is a decent introduction to weight training, but I felt like I needed better examples or diagrams of how some of the exercises worked.

Some good ideas, but nothing extremely innovative. I will be coming back to this book for reference, though.
