I have found a precious jewel in this book, but, if you have fundamental religious beliefs that you don't want challenged, this will not be the book for you. This would be a pity because, despite the heavy leaning to Buddhist philosophy, this is a book which invites a new way of being at peace even within your own beliefs.
Although some of the truisms and anecdotes are not particularly original to me (the two wolves stories, 'change is not loss, it's merely change'), they're the type of motivation which can bear repeating. In addition, this book is well structured, making the reading easy and the exercises (which are very practical) accessible.
Never judgemental, always infused with a gentle compassion for our human foibles (and an ability to laugh at the mistakes of her own journey) Shoshanna has a contemporary writing style that offers ancient wisdom in a way that helps one apply it to our modern lives.
I've been consciously practising some of the exercises since I finished the book and I've noticed how they do bring peace and an inner calm when my mind becomes restless with worry.
This book can be a life changing book if you're tired of feeling overwhelmed by negativity and fear, your own and others. I'm keeping my copy because I intend to dip into it time and time again, until the 7 principles of peace of mind become an every day part of my ordinary life. I've also ordered some difficult to get hold of copies for my family members!

Another easy reading book with many examples. The ideas are a bit scattering, but all fit to our daily life. Basically, we should not fear to have, to lose, to mistaken, to feel, to fail...etc. Allow what should happen to happen, allow your inner voices to converse. Forgive, respect others means self-respect. Love, one can not love others if one doesn't love oneself. To love unconditionally without asking feedback. Don't fear to lose control. Control freak could ruin inner peace. Bless others, even your enemies.
Understanding we are just the passengers of time and this space, stand firm like a mountain to let good or bad things happen without forcing yourself or others, just accept what life is giving you, enjoy that moment, pain or joy. It will eventually teach you something precious!
Some people may consider this book the "recipe" that is not applicable to their own life, their own story. However, my opinion is that it's always the person's choice whether to accept the advices or not. This book offers a positive perspective that can change person's way of thinking, but it can only have the real effect if the person allows himself/herself to absorb the words, the thoughts, the advices and, in the end, the love that is given to him/her.
I know everyone of us experiences some related form of fear and it is for that reason that this book should be a must have for your personal library. It covers almost every issue related to fear and incorporates Zen and Buddhist teachings in each of the principles. My usual problem with self help books are that sometimes they appear to be a bit too preachy but with Fearless, I found the material to be very easy to absorb and relatable. Dr. Shoshanna is a practicing psychologist and therapist for more than twenty years and her experience can be found throughout this book. One thing worth mentioning though is that the book doesn’t not attempt to fool you by saying that you can completely get rid of your fear. On the contrary, the title is fear-less which suggests that the books seeks to help you firstly understand your fear and then manage it so that it will not take over your life.
Admittedly some of the information present in the book seems familiar and that's because we have probably read them in other self hep books. What appears to be different is the way in which the message is brought across. The lessons are well thought out and well presented and are as wise as the Buddhist and Zen teachings that are littered throughout the book.
I am by no means finished with this book. When I first read it, I did so from the frame of mind of a reviewer so my ability to completely absorb these principles was minim however I intend to read and re-read this book later on.
When you really think about it, it is absolutely ridiculous how fear runs our lives. Stuck in the past, fearing for the future we never really live. We hold ourselves back afraid of what might happen or continually punish ourselves for things that happened. We never really allow our potential out. We can’t even see our true selves.
Books like Fearless remind us of ourselves. Somewhere deep inside we all know that trying to wear the mask and beating ourselves up just isn’t working. Still, fear keeps us locked away.
Fearless sets out seven principles that seek to help us break free of fear and allow our true selves to shine through. Inspirational. A friendly voice in the darkness of fear.

For a longer term meditator not the greatest. Not because there is anything wrong with it - there is not - but just to obvious. For someone who is just coming to realize that fear might be the emotional basis for a failure to progress on a spiritual journey then an excellent introduction.
Like any self help book. It only works if you work it.
We are all drowned in our daily obligations of an adult person that can take away our energy. To anyone who is struggling with fears and scary thoughts in life, I highly recommend this book. The way it shows our well kept soul searches is amazing. Thanks to Dr.Shoshanna Brenda,I can wake up relaxed, and enjoy a fearless life.
