A great book, with great SME business tips throughout. A complete 'how-to' framework for getting to grips with - and bringing about, both business growth, and a more rewarding lifestyle

a bit too simplified. Also, analytically flawed. Did not get a lot out of this read.

This book is comprised of juvenile conversations between a business coach and a team of two business owners. It tells the reader how they will be expected to react to the coaching with dialog such as "the results are great, coach!" and "thanks to you, coach, I now know why I was working so hard and not seeing the results!" It was full of grammar errors, and it came across as one big ad for the coaching service.

It has some good business techniques in it that I'm sure will be helpful.

I wanted try to read a business book with the intention of use it in the close future but it was more analytic and complex that I expected., I had to stop the reading many times to research for the business definitions and theories mentioned.
The only clear concept for me was that I need to know my numbers (how much money I did and I am doing) at same time that the numbers I will create in my future (like projections)

This isn't too bad, once the American sugar coating and fluff are stripped away. The methodology itself may prove helpful for SMEs, as the book addresses the main problems businesses face on a daily basis. I believe this book may be valuable, as it more or less aims to address the low hanging fruits first, and may work well for many thanks to the 80/20 principle.

Horribly written book but with great tidbits of information. The story is hokey, the ‘coach’ which seems to represent the author seems to think he’s a super hero. So much irrelevant info for the ‘story’ but the business content is great. If you can get past the terrible writing the nuggets of wisdom are great.

Really great wisdom on running a great business. This book is filled loads of concrete, smart ideas. If only the story was written a little better, I'd have enjoyed reading it a bit more and called it excellent.

Gran propuesta para entender el rol de un Coach de Negocios. Al final de cuentas los resultados en un negocio son la consecuencia de una responsabilidad compartida entre el Coach y el Dueño de Negocio.

Very very simple, but definitely eye opening at how just a few small business adjustments can make a big impact on the bottom line.

This book is very similar to some ways to the Emyth Revisited. Both use the style of a parable, both are about building a business that runs without you, and involves coaching of sorts. I believe in coaching, tho the marketing of coaching is a little blatant in my view here.

Main difference between E-myth and Business coach?
- This one follows a 6-step "Success Ladder" - Mastery, Niche, Leverage Team, Synergy, Result - to build a business that's independent of you.
- Plus a 5-way Business Chassis leads - leads conversion, $ transaction, transaction value, profit margin - to increase/ multiply your profits.

Personally, I find the E-myth more comprehensive, with an undertone of spirituality and purpose.

BUT, I love the Business Chassis in this book. It's really practical as a framework to think about the components that affects profits, and I started to use it to measure, diagnose, and test my business performance. The 6-step ladder is cool too - simple to understand and remember - even tho' I believe business isn't quite so sequential in nature.

Worth a read; but don't expect to find all the "how-to" answers in the book. After all, doing business is about thinking for yourself and experimenting...

Overall this is a good read and serves as a guide for the small businessperson

The Business Coach by Bradely Sugars demonstrates business-coaching strategies that the author has developed. The book offer insights for the small business owner and entrepreneur including the basics of business, identifying problem areas and finding wining solutions and ways of building a successful business that operates on a firm foundation.

Business start up and growth is an area that so many authors have attempted to cover. It can be difficult to determine which one to read. This book offers a simple read especially due to the story format used here. I will admit that this approach or format may not be for everyone but Sugars does bring his point across. He does explain at length about the business of franchising- something that might be useful for small businesses and entrepreneurs getting started in their niches. Of course franchising is not always the best option for starting a business but it has its own advantages for the small business owner.

Sugar does try to promote his franchising business in this book. As such, some of the content may come out as a bit `salesy'. Overall, this is a good read and serves as a guide for the small businessperson. I would recommend it to those who have been in business for a while now and those who are just getting started.

The Business Coach is book that I read over a period of about 7 months by reading small pieces at a time. I started to implement some of the ideas in the book and honestly? It works! I was quite surprised to find the techniques and methods in the book works! So far as the book is concerned I can admit it is no easy reading but then again I am not a business owner and maybe if I was it would make more sense. Maybe just two items of great importance that I feel I have implemented - follow up/through on leads and the measuring in business I find this is very helpful. The other concept generally that I like is the whole concept of mastery but in a general sense - for example knowing your trade very well, so that it could be said of you that you know your art well or you are a real master. And yes obviously all of us want to live large and to have a great lifestyle.

The Book is framed as a story of a couple that own a bakery taking on a business coach.
As we accompany them on their journey we are lead through the coaches six step process to the businesses progression (Mastery, Niche, Leverage, Team, Synergy and Results).
Each of the steps is covered in a methodical way and as the couple complete a step we see the benefits of their adopting the strategy.
A great book for all small business owners to remind them of the basics.

WHile the ideas were ok, the tone of this book was pretty stilted and play-like. While Brad tried to make this a real-world-like narrative, it came off as being far too much about self-promotion. This tone made it harder to reach the core ideas, though the chapters\ing and formatting of the book improved readability more than most books. Ironic, I know.
