The battle has been long and hard, the evil relentless, unending. And out of their hauntingly erotic dreams and into the lives of the battle-weary Shadow Warriors come four beautiful women -- sisters, not only of the flesh, but of the soul and the Earth. Her mistresses -- each possessed of a power and love to equal that of their warrior.
But consuming passion, undying love and gifts of mystical power come at immense cost, and Fate and Destiny demand their price. Only one, Chantel, Keeper of the Earth Crystal, knows the true torments that await them and the decision she makes, the legacy she chooses, will impact them all for centuries to come.
Deceit, treachery and dark forces propel the warriors and their wives into a vortex of events that will tear them asunder. Devlin, favored warrior of the gods, has found his heart and soul with Chantel. Time is running out, the growing evil he senses is coming closer. Evil that could shatter his life, and destroy that which he holds most dear -- Chantel.
Note: Shattered Legacy is not a "Happily Ever After". Rather it is the beginning, the history, of what is to come.

I am pleasantly surprised that there is an actual story that I am interested in following surrounding all of the erotic sex. This is good escapism romance. I'm so glad that I grabbed this as a bargain book and will reading the others that I picked up. Full review to come.
i read this book a long time ago and what I liked about it was that LL still gave you the erotica that she is renowned for but also a story in a different time zone.
The problem was that I got to book three and it ended - just like that and it needed a follow up - at the time LL said there would be one but could say when it would be released and with that i left it alone.
Only just found out that there is a book 4 so it will give me (hopefully) the conclusion to this sereies that I was looking for.
Here it is 2:30 in the morning and I stayed up because I just couldn't put this book down. This book for me is sooo much more different from the other books that Lora Leigh has written. Really way different. I have alot of her series and I love all of her books. I had trouble in the beginning getting into this read. I think maybe it was just that I wasn't used to this kind of a book from her. But as I read more and more I started to feel it. I started to understand the characters. And let me tell you we have more than a few main players in this book.
At the very top of our list of main player/couples we have Devlin and Chantel. I loved this couple and they were good together until......Then we have Joshua and Arriane. This couple was not having fun at all. The next two couples took the back burner compared to the first two but are still very important. They are Shanar and Ariel. Then we have Derek and Caitlin. We get a history of all of them.
Then we got a brief introduction of Kanna, I will explain in a bit...maybe thier isn't alot of her in the book except mainly who she is.
Then we get to the evil bad guys in our story. First we have Jonar, main head asshole that is literally evil to his core. And of course every leader needs his side kick who would be Oberon. And then we also have the bitch that should be good and grateful but of course isn't, and you just want to kick her ass. This woman would be Antea.
And what would our story be if we didn't have a wizard Galen?
I will give you this. Galen is a wizard but also the father of Chantel, Arriane, Ariel, and Caitlin. Ariel comes in because she is half sister to Chantel. Now our warriors are Devlin, Joshua, Shanar, and Derek.
This story has sooo much going on that you just can't help being sucked into it. I mean I was convinced three quarters of the way threw this book that I didn't care for it. But before I knew it I just couldn't put it down. Now I have looked up this series and their are 3 books after this one. Being that this book took place back in the day where we had Warrior Knights who rode on horses, Castles, and carts to pull things, and people rode in carriages I don't know how Ms. Leigh is going to work the next books. Because the next book is here in the present day.
Guess I will just have to see.
This book started out slow for me but picked up speed the more I got into it. The characters evolved beautifully. You get to know them soo well. I will admit their was a part that had me crying.
This book was a little hard to get into at first. It has alot of Science Fiction in it, but has a great love story as well. The book is the first in the series, and left me hurrying to buy the next ones. The book has alot of erotica in it, but the story of the war and love stories of the couples seemto tame it down.
Plenty of sex to be up to par with Ellora's Cave. Fortunately for readers, Ms Leigh has higher standard than most of their authors and always writes very interesting stories. This is a sad but gripping one.
As a side note, pity she never finished the full series.
I normally like this author, however her older books are hit or miss for me. This one was a big miss. I was turned off right away, took me 45 minutes to read the first 30 pages, not a good sign. In the end this one just wasn't for me.
I think I liked this...It was basically a really long prologue that will lead up to the other books, but last I checked she had only written 2 books after this for the sisters and there are 4 sisters, so I'm just not sure if I want to get invested and she doesn't finish the series.
