The only thing Steve Walker hates more than lawyers, is politicians. But all that changes when flesh eating Zombies start devouring Washington DC like an all you can eat buffet. So now Steve has to escape his law firms mailroom and save the only woman he's ever loved on Capitol Hill. That is, unless the Zombies get him first.
I have the distinct feeling the author of this book got screwed by the legal system somewhere along the way. This book reads like a slightly off-kilter satirical zombie slap against the greed and selfishness of lawyers and politicians. Fun for a short read. Not much else going on.
Ok, this one is a little confusing because it appears to be a number of excerpts from the author's work. I am basing my review solely on the first excerpt: zombies and lawyers.
It's actually hilarious. I get the impression it was written as a big f**k you by some jaded legal assistant. This may or not be the case, it's just the impression I get (which makes it even more amusing). It's about 70 pages, so super quick, but its free, so well worth the read and chuckle.
Maybe it's just my extreme dislike of lawyers and politicians, but I found this "book" to be fun.
Yes, it's short -- I read the whole thing in a dentist's waiting room -- but it's snarky and witty. I really liked the names that were given to the characters. But again, maybe that's just me.
For a free quick read, why not? I'd rather read something fun and short than make a huge investment into a long boring story that leaves me feeling robbed of my time.
Wow. This book was a tad confusing but generally a good read, but not up to the standard of my usual books. It was comical in the sense of the short stories containing the zombies, but there were two stories at the end that appeared to be slapped in for the sake of it. Great if you're looking for a really quick reading session.
This was a free short story and it was just ok to me. I liked the action, but sometimes the writting was a little confusing and didn't flow evenly. I think that this is a nice, simple and fun read for your spare time.
