در مقدمه نویسنده آقای اشتین هاوس ضمن احتراز دادن اهالی ریاضی از بیان عبارات کج فهمانه به مخاطبان غیر حرفه ای ریاضیات ،هدف خود را از نوشتن این کتاب دستیابی به دستور زبانی مستقیم برای ارایه مفاهیم ریاضی ذکر میکند.خود او هنگامی که در پارک هنگام تفریح با یکی از دوستان با سئوال چیستی کار ریاضیدان مواجه شده سعی کرده با ترسیم خم ژوردان و منحنی پئانو با یک سیخ روی شن این سئوال را شهودی پاسخ بدهد.

I read this book (Chinese edition) in Grade 7 and fell in love with math. Absolutely recommend it and will introduce to my kid.
