Intermediate Welsh: A Grammar and Workbook (Grammar Workbooks)

Rate this book
Intermediate Welsh is designed for learners who have achieved basic proficiency, and wish to proceed to more complex language. It presents a broad range of grammatical topics, illustrated by examples which serve as models for the varied exercises which follow. The emphasis throughout is on colloquial, spoken Welsh used by modern day native speakers.

Very well written. I used King's Basic Welsh in Foundation level classes and this is the next logical step. The grammar exercises are clearly explained and the book will be very useful for future study.

This is the follow on from Basic Welsh: A Grammar and Workbook so even if you feel you are at intermediate level, I still think you can gain from going through the first book - there’s always a tidbit of information that you don’t know or have forgotten and can take away with you before moving on and if there isn’t you are probably to advance for this book anyway! Besides, it never harms to freshen your memory of everything you’ve learnt.

I can’t say much more about this book than I did in my review of the first so probably best if you check it out and see how grateful I am for Gareth’s help in my learning progress.

Superb series.
