A mature man narrates a brief event in his life when he was a young boy burdened by the pangs of love, or infatuation, over the sister of a playmate.
Not much of a plot here but the language is beautiful. This was the real James Joyce, his true self before madness melted his brain and made him a writer of mischievous obscurities.
