Ryan Dilbert's Time Crumbling Like a Wet Cracker is a beautiful blend of humor and gravity--very entertaining. What happens when "a long time ago" is today? Or when "today" is a long time ago? Meet a world consisting of Benjamin Franklin, Lil' Wayne, Attila the Hun, The Green Bay Packers, and a variety of historic figures and present day icons. The author tells a fascinating story, leading to the question, "what if that really happened?"

This novel reminds me of Kurt Vonnegut style science fiction. It is literary and yet humorous and exciting. Historical figures that we are so familiar with take on a whole new persona. I found myself feeling compassion for certain evil doers and questioning the morality of "historical cleansing." At times I laughed out loud, but I also walked away with a new philosophical perspective about right and wrong and how the pains of our past have strengthened who we are now.
