Librarian note: this edition was published January 16, 1989 by HarperCollins.
I'll be honest I have very vague memories of the book, I was two at the time. However, I have not been allowed to forget that my mum had to secretly return it to the library while I was at preschool because I wouldn't let go of it.
This is a very simple book, but it is also engaging, informative and funny. It is one of P’s favourites and she has read it multiple times, so it’s 5 stars from us.
An excellent book that is actually quite deep for young readers. It is a simply written book which has a sentence per page always beginning with 'Beans'. It visually and verbally tells you the adventure of beans from the stalks to ending up on your plate.
This is appropriate for the age range of 4 - 6.
This book would be an excellent resource for geography and for guided reading.
