I thoroughly enjoyed this book. This is my first Phoenix Agency book but it wont be my last. I felt that there were plenty of avenues to go from here for Ms. Holt and I'm intrigued to see where she takes it

I thought the characters were well thought out and the plot engaging. Dan was alpha and yet open to the paranormal which is odd in these types of books, so it was refreshing. It was nice to see an H willing to believe and protect so quickly. Mia was a slightly isolated Precog who was used to being shunned and abused for her gift. Not even her parents were supportive and so she ahs learned to hide and use other ways to warn people of her visions...when she can figure them out that is

That the Precog visions required puzzling out, added to overall plot and kept me engaged. Seeing that modern tech and social media being incorporated into the book also gave it a sense timeframe and uniqueness. Little things like this I appreciate.

Dan Romeo has a take charge personality and doesn't do permanent relationships. He's in town for some R and R and to see his friend's unveiling of a highly sought after robot. The last thing he wants to do is get involved in a security threat, but when he tracks information to a lovely art curator, and discovers her psychic abilities, he can't help but pour all his resources into keeping her safe.

Mia Fleming is an art curator, lives a relatively boring life, and has the gift-or curse-of precognition. She's a little wonky with her predictions, but couldn't live with herself if she doesn't warn the company about a possible security breach and danger. When Dan tracks her down, Mia realizes he's the nameless man she's been seeing visions of and life as she knows it is about to take an interesting turn.

Dan and Mia's relationship came on fairly quick and had a decent amount of steam. They clicked believably well, considering the short time span, and I liked that they actually had conversations trying to solve the crime instead of spending the entire book in bed.

The mystery was relatively well done. I had one of the villains pegged early on, but the other I didn't catch until they were revealed. Lots of potential possibilities kept me on my toes guessing for most of the story and I had fun trying to figure out who did it!

Extrasensory was a good mix of romantic suspense, psychic visions, humor, and mystery. There's a fair amount action that kept the story's momentum going. Dan and Mia's romance was enjoyable and blended well with the mystery. I also liked how the secondary characters provided humor and levity when things got tough. Book two in the Phoenix Agency, I easily read this story as a stand alone.

A truly inviting and sexy paranormal romance mystery, the characters are very strong and engaging, an awesome book, it reminds me of Kay Hooper Bishop series. The storyline is excellent, intense, gripping and very enthralling. With the explosive chemistry between Mia and Dan, it is no wonder this book is so electrifying, sensual and sexy. The mystery and action scenes are well crafted with excitement all the way. I have to say this has been an exciting and enjoyable read. I love the Pheonix Agency and I look forward to reading the others in the series, this book is a must-read.

Fabulous! This is the second book in the Phoenix series and this is Dan"s story. Dan is the head of Phoenix and is committed to his job. He was a Marine.

Mia is a art history major who has her. Doctorate and works at a museum. She also is physic and can see things that are going to happen in the future. The only problem is that it's hard to interpret her visions. But they won't leave her alone until she solves the puzzle. She hates her gift, to her it's more of a curse.

When Mia has a new vision and after research becomes clear it involves Carpenter Techtronics she sends an anonymous email to Chase, the owner. She doesn't expect for anyone to find her least of all the man she has been having erotic visions about. So when Dan walks into her office she is shocked and scared. But she also has a very specific reaction to this man.

As Dan convinces Mia he believes her and she begins to work with him thimgs get very dangerous for Mia and Dan"s job becomes two fold first he has to make sure the new invention by Chase isn't stolen and he has to keep Mia safe.

This is a great book with action, betrayal, love and new friendships. Be sure to read the first book before this one, it will help you understand the players in Phoenix.

I received this ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Extrasensory is the second book in the exciting Phoenix Agency series, and things are getting more dangerous and deadly. With a unique storyline, complex characters you can't help but love (well, most of them anyway!), humor, an unexpected romance, secrets and lies, betrayal, espionage, and intriguing twists, you won't be able to put it down. The story captures you right from the start, and keeps you on the edge of your seat till the very end. An excellent romantic suspense, and a great addition to this fantastic series!

Dan Romeo is the CEO and co-owner of the mysterious Phoenix Agency, a private security company that's co-owned by a group of friends that are all ex-military. Just coming off of his last mission, Dan has been invited to a friend's presentation of his latest top-secret, ground breaking, robotic invention that will be able to assist law enforcement and the military like nothing before. When Chase, his friend as well as a client, called about an email he received warning him that the robot was in danger, he had a sense that this was a real threat. Dan knew that he had to find the sender immediately, but the last thing he expected to find was a beautiful, successful woman who he had an instant reaction to.

Mia Fleming has battled with her precognitive abilities, and those who have doubted her and them, all her life. With not having anyone to help her to figure out what her visions mean, she has a 50% chance of reading the clues correctly. With her latest visions of a rock in plexiglass, a sign with the Carpenter name, doing a lot of research, and a friend who knows a lot about technology, she has a good idea what the visions are about. After sending an anonymous email, she calls to make sure that Chase Carpenter is the one who receives it. Because of her past experiences with non-believers, she just wants to make sure that they're aware of the trouble, but without any contact with her. When the man from her vision shows up in her office, she can't believe the intense connection that she instantly feels towards him, but she's more worried about how he'll react when she tells him how she knows about the trouble coming.

Dan is determined to figure out what is going on, but he's reluctant to let Mia out of his sight. After having meetings with the heads of the company, and allowing them to question Mia, Dan wants to introduce her to one of the partners and his wife, both who are telepathic, and see if they can help her with her visions. When an unexpected attack happens, Dan knows that Mia's now in danger, and he's pulling in everyone he can from Phoenix to help figure out what's going on, and who is behind it all. Can Dan keep Mia safe from the unknown assailants? Will the men from Phoenix be able to get the answers they need to protect Chase's company, his newest invention, as well as keep everyone safe? Although the timing couldn't be worse, Dan and Mia can't deny the intense connection between them, and neither of them want to. Can they both let down the walls they've kept up to protect themselves in order to see what happens between them? Can they both stay safe long enough to get the HEA that neither thought that they would ever have, but that they both want more than ever? You'll have to read this to find out!

I absolutely love this series, and can't wait for the next book. I suggest that you start from the beginning of the series, and read the books in order to get the most out of the stories. You won't be disappointed!

I strongly recommend this book, series, and fantastic author.

Art historian Mia Fleming has battled with skepticism about her precognitive skills all her life. But her visions about Carpenter Techtronics are so vivid she sends anonymous emails and makes an anonymous call. After having a vision of a gorgeous man that leaves her frantic with desire, Mia is shocked when the man himself shows up in her office sending her silent messages. Dan Romeo, CEO of the mysterious Phoenix Agency, is in town to help his friend Chase Carpenters track down whoever is threatening Chase’s company. When he meets Mia, he has a hard time thinking about anything but what he’d like to do behind closed doors with this intriguing woman. The electricity between Dan and Mia is so intense they find themselves in bed together before they’ve hardly completed introductions. But then bodies begin falling. As Mia’s visions escalate, so does the explosive relationship between her and Dan. When an attempt is made on Mia’s life and she is almost killed, Dan and his team must race to find the culprits before they can strike again—or put Mia down for good.
Overall this was a pretty good story, but there were a few things that annoyed one. One is a pet peeve of mine, just the reinforcement that Dan lives up to his last name. I really don’t like it when authors use this and point it out. That led to my second problem. With Dan being like that, it made it hard for me to buy that within 12 hours, he was already smitten with Mia and knew she was way more that a fling. The other thing that hurt this book was the continuity with the timeline in the first part of the book. It happened over several days but by that Monday Mia was referring to things that happened on the Friday before as yesterday. It happened at several points and was just a little irritating.

This is the 2nd book in this great series - all the books can be read as standalones , but reading them in order helps place the characters in context .

Mia has always had her precognative visions - unfortunately they are haphazard , giving only glimpses of what she is seeing .
Analysing the vision she manages to deduct that something is going to happen to a new prototype robot , Carpenters newest spyware --determined to remain anonymous she sends an encrypted email warning the company to take precautions at their presentation .
Dan Romeo , CEO of the Phoenix Agency , is visiting his friend Chase Carpenter prior to the presentation of the new revolutionary robot . Using his company he soon finds out that Mia is the e mailer - he discounts the scepticism from Chase and his partners , he has met psychics who are real
and determines to find the threat that Mia has forseen .
Mia's visions increase - a hand holding a bloody knife , a rock rolling along - trying to put them in context is difficult especially when deaths occur and the robot is stolen - or is it ? .
Can she identify the murderer , save herself and her sanity in time ?
Spending time with Mia , Dan finds their attraction growing explosively - he is determined to protect her at all costs .
Who is trying to to steal the prototype robot ?
Who is behind the murders ?
The Phoenix Agency brings all its resources to the battle to save Mia and Dan , and keep the robot out of enemy hands .

Another really enjoyable suspense filled , fast paced romance with characters that draw you into the action . I look forward to reading the other books in this series .

This is a voluntary review of an advanced copy.

I had so much fun reading this book, and so sad when it was over! I really felt for Mia who wants so badly to help people with her visions but has problems with the interpretation so her success rate is not great. Which leads to people thinking she is a nut.

Mia sends a warning to Chase Carpenter to guard his invention as someone wants to steal it. Little does she know that the Phoenix Agency can track down her email (even when she takes precautions!) using the Dragon. So, she is really surprised when she Dan in her office, especially after having steamy vision about him!

You can see that there are two people working together and I guessed one correctly and thought the second person might be but wasn't entirely sure. When the details of the plan come out at the end, I was really surprised and wow did it affect others!

There were times that I really wanted to smack some sense into Mia - when she went to her house even knowing that she was in danger!

I love books like these that combine a good romance with action, drama, intrigue, and lots of mystery! I really have to restrain myself from skimming through too quickly as I want to get to the end of the book and find out whodunit! I also have ended up staying up way too late into the night to keep reading just "one more chapter!"

All the books in this series have been so interesting that I cannot pick on that I can say is my favorite - they all are!

Extrasensory is a fast paced, action filled story that will keep your attention on the page. The combination of paranormal, military, romance and suspense ticked a lot of my personal favorite buttons with this one.

I found Mia and Dan to be a believable couple in an unusual situation. It’s difficult for Mia to talk to anyone about her visions for she’s dealt with the resulting suspicions far too often before. She needs someone to help her understand her gift, how to focus and dig beyond what she’s seeing to the message within the vision. Right now she’s guessing right as often as she’s guessing horribly wrong. Yet this vision feels different. This time the man she saw is now right in front of her… and what is between them is far more than she ever expected.

If you’re looking for a story that will grab your attention, give you a mystery to solve and introduce you to some amazing people along the way… then Extrasensory is a story you should be reading. I enjoyed my time in this world, and I’ve no intention of giving anything away. If you love paranormal romance and mysteries, then I’d recommend this story.

Extrasensory (The Phoenix Agency Book 2)
Aug 1, 2017 | Kindle eBook
by Desiree Holt
I received an uncorrected ARC of this book from NetGalley for review purposes
“The Phoenix men were well trained for all occasions.” Including dealing with a precognitive like Mia and her visions of Carpenter Technologies latest gadgets. Visions she can't even figure out herself. Dan and his team of ex-military and computer geniuses must work with her to pick apart the mystery hiding in her visions.
The story it self was interesting, however for men of action, men who were SEAL and such, they do a lot of talking and sitting, so the action moves slowly. A book that should have taken me a day to read took several. It was only my love for the concept that kept me going.
The solution to villianry is plainly given away when we first meet the mastermind. But the book is a sweet love story wrapped in a silly mystery. Given half a chance and maybe a little chat actual military men (I come from a family of officers, presidential helicopter guards, a real Spec Ops, and my father won a distinguished flying cross and flew for 22 years, most of them SAC – they are men of moment even when planning) or a little Christine Feehan or Donald MacDonald mentoring, Desiree Holt's series will improve.
4 out of 5 – This book is Book Nerd accepted if not approved.

Sometimes after reading the last page of a book, you have to rethink everything twice. That was my first reaction to Extrasensory. Maybe it was because of the erotic visions that Mia had about Dan.
Although they were definitely hot scenes, they where a bit standalone in the total story. Because the rest of the story, about how Mia has visions about how there are being people killed in the company where Dan is working, is very intriguing. The total build-up of the theft of the new prototype of technology which will be the new phase in warfare is full of suspense. And when the bodies are piling up, you really want to know who is behind this. Mia’s visions give you step by step inside information and you kind of guess along with Dan and Mia in how the master mind of the theft is thinking.

I really liked Faith, the wife of Dan’s colleague, who has extrasensory powers as well. She stood by Mia to help her get more focused on the visions and how to interpret them. The story of Faith and her husband Mark is actually the first book of the Phoenix series.
You don’t have to read this one to understand the story of this book. But I think I’ll try to read that book later.
In all, 3,5 out of five stars from me, with a special thank you to Netgalley for providing the arc.

I’ve always been intrigued and fascinated with psychic abilities, the trials and tribulations of being accepted and judged, honing those abilities for the better and trying to live a normal life amidst the abnormal.

The mysterious Phoenix Agency is as mysterious and intriguing as the amazing soldiers who founded it. As the CEO, Dan Romeo has seen things unexplainable as the wide-open skies with its many mysteries. In town to help his friend Chase Carpenters with his company any new invention, Dan runs into Mia as the person of interest sending warnings of threat on the company.

With precognitive abilities, all Mia Fleming wants to do is enjoy her job as an art historian and lose herself in her passion. But with visions of danger and numbers, of Dan and his erotic presence, Mia is drawn into a deadly game of danger and death. Sparks fly, passion flares and with the body count raising and Mia nearly at the jaws of death, Dan and his team have their job cut out to save the world from being destroyed.

It’s been a while since I’ve read Desiree Holt and it was a reading pleasure. Mia and Dan rock the chemistry charts, with an intriguing plot and captivating suspense, “Extrasensory” is an adrenaline read of danger, trust and a courageous story of the psychic powers.

This book has so many twists and turns and constant surprises, it was hard to put down. Every time I thought I might have an idea of who was responsible the next thing I read always changed my mind. Aside from the intriguing storyline the anticipation of finding out who the bad guys were was enough to keep me engrossed in this book. The complexity of the characters and uniqueness of the story make this a truly great read. Dan was such a genuinely great guy and I loved that he tried to do right by Mia from the beginning. He always treated her with respect, never belittled her visions or brushed her to the side and was always quick to let her know how important she was. And for Mia, she was brave, determined and strong with a sweetness and innocence that made it hard not to like her. Even with the knowledge of how she would be treated, the hateful comments and threats, she embraced it all and pushed forward just wanting to help. It is definitely a book that captures your interest from the start and will have you on the edge of your seat until the end. This story includes mystery, intrigue, suspense, betrayal, espionage, humor, romance and action. It is an excellent second installment to the Phoenix Agency series.

The Phoenix Agency is my kinda place! Hot men, great action and a little bit of...weird added in for good measure!

Dan is used to being the boss and his Alpha gene is very much in evidence. But he is also quite tolerant of unusual skills - after all one of his friends can talk with his wife in his head!

Mia was great as the scholar trying to play down her ability. but she has tried to help people in distress before but she has had as many losses as wins and she feels marginalised by law enforcement. But when her visions are very strong and recurring, she takes action to ensure that a robbery does not take place. but her Good Samaritan e-mail gets her onto the Phoenix Agency radar and she finds herself sucked in the maelstrom!

I loved set up and I really enjoyed the fact that Dan had such a strong impact on her, even before they met through Mia's "personal" vision! LOL! I did manage to suss out the baddies, which is unusual for me cos I'm generally still in the dark! The author manages to mix real life problems, technology, social media & paranormal elements brilliantly!

ARC - I voluntarily offered to review this book with no obligations and my opinions are honest!
Mia was used to people doubting her abilities.
She always tell them that it is not an exact science. It is hit or miss.
They never believer her.
When a vision is to strong to ignore, Mia takes action.
She hopes that they will listen to her warning.
That is when Dan Romeo of the Phoenix Agency comes to investigate.
Now Mia is involved in the investigation as well.
Did a mention that she also had visions of Dan ? ( As Dan is naked. Totally Yummy! )
At first, Mia pushes those vision aside.
However the attraction is too strong not just for Mia, but also for Dan.
When Mia is almost killed, Dan will do anything to protect her.
Now that he found "the one," he will make sure that nothing else happens to her.
This is a fast paced, action filled + drama packaged book.
There are hints of who the villains are, but the author does a good job of leaving you guessing until the very end.
Loved this series!

Extra sensory
Four and a half stars
Desiree Holt continues her Phoenix Agency series with Extrasensory. The Phoenix Agency is a group of ex-Special Forces who work under the radar, and are expanding their work with paranormal forces and abilities. Ms Holt's storytelling continues to be gripping and page-turning.

Extrasensory features Dan Romeo, one of the Phoenix Agency partners, and Mia Fleming, an art expert who's hiding her precognitive ability as she struggles to get a better handle on it. When one of her visions prompts her to contact a company about to make a major announcement, her path crosses Dan's, who is tasked with helping to protect that company's assets. Neither anticipates the sizzling connection between them, but both are mature enough to recognize what they've found in the other and don't plan to let the other go.

Desiree Holt also provides an exciting and engaging plot, with plenty of action and heat as well.

Extrasensory is a fantastic addition to the series!

3.5 stars another strong entry in the series. Dan a former Force Recon Marine is one of the founding partners of the Phoenix Agency. When a friend asks him to provide additional security for a ground breaking invention, Dan heads to San Antonio. Mia is an assistant museum curator there and has precognitive abilities. When she gets flashes of danger to inventor's owner, she anonymously sends several warnings. Thanks to Phoenix's resources she doesn't stay anonymous for long. Her abilities also send her super hot images of sex with Dan. When they meet face to face she's thrown for loop while he hides his attraction better. Thanks to the events of book 1 Dan isn't hostile to her abilities and brings her on as a consultant. The closer to the deadline the more bodies drop and it's clear someone finds her abilities a threat. Dan has to not only keep her safe but convince her that despite his Romeo ways, he's all in when it comes to her. Faith and Mark, MCs from the first book also appear her as does the Lotus circle and other Phoenix members.

Great next PSI suspense!

Large and in-charge Dan, gets help from art historian, museum curator, and sometimes psychic, Mia. Mia is still struggling with her ability and doesn't quite understand it, but when she's overwhelmed by images, she needs to tell someone. Luckily, when Dan gets involved he's open to her abilities, and is also very attracted to her, which helps. With the help from his friends, he's able to help Mia, help him, with her visions. Also, it was great to finally read a story with the person who was greatly injured took lots of time to recuperate, instead of jumping right back into the action two days later. Much more realistic than most stories I've read. Great suspense, but I wonder why she didn't get other visions about other people during this whole story? I guess to find that out I'd need to research the field of PSI better. H-m-m-m? No thanks. ^~^ On to the next book.

This author writes wonderful military style stories. Each of the characters in every book is just amazing . The strength of the brotherhood of these men and women is what makes these so good to read. Both men and women will stop at nothing to protect the ones they love and everyone on their team is family. This new series has a bit of a different element in it.Desiree holt brings in a paranormal Twist To the stories. Some are mind readers, some are telepathic, but whatever they have seems to work. This book has so many twists and turns, where each page has more action than the other. It is 1 of those stories that just pulls you from the beginning. This book is so full of surprises..and trying to figure out who the 2 people that have turned their back on the team is another layer in the storyline. I certainly Recommend this book to anyone who loves a good love story, with heart pounding action !!!

Extrasensory is an outstanding romantic suspense by Desiree Holt. Ms. Holt has provided readers with a well-written book populated with a stellar cast of characters. Mia has visions and has deciphered them to mean someone is going to steal something from Carpenter Techtronics so she sends them an email warning them. Dan is a partner at Phoenix and has promised his friend, the owner of Carpenter Techtronics, that he would be there for the demonstration of their new product. Dan and Mia's story is packed with drama, humor, smokin' hot sex, action and nail-biting suspense. I enjoyed every page of this book, it's spectacular and I can't wait to read my next book by Desiree Holt. Extrasensory is book 2 of the Phoenix Agency Series but can easily be read as a standalone. This is a complete book, not a cliff-hanger.

I won a copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Mia Fleming an art historian has tried to use her skills before to help the police in San Antonio but they do not seem to appreciate the times she has been successful and realize she is not proficient with her skills yet She wants to help and sends a message to Carpenter Tectronics to warn them. Dan Romeo shows up and the museum looking for more answers to what she is trying to tell them. These skills are not new to him an dhe takes her to a member of Phoenix who can help her. While she is trying to help someone is wanting her eliminated just in case she can find out who is behind wanting to steal 'Oscar'. There are plenty of suspects. Mia and Dan feel a connection before they even meet. Bodies are showing up everywhere and time is running out.

This is Book 2 in the Phoenix Agency series. What a great series. I love each book in it. Dan is the Senior Partner in the Phoenix Agency. He knows nothing in life is ever simple. He’s just come off of a successful job and decides to go to San Antonio to see friends and the new partners of Phoenix. While there, he meets up with Mia, who just happens to have precognitive abilities. The things that happen in this story are so hard to believe. Mia can see things before they happen. That is such an awesome ability. Her skills grow so much throughout this story. You can see her confidence grow as you read each page. I loved this book and can’t wait to see what happens to the guys of the Phoenix Agency. I voluntarily read and reviewed this book that I received from the Netgalley.

This was originally published by EC? That would explain why almost the entire series showed up on amazon in the space of about a month. And one of the opening scenes, which was more sexually explicit than the rest of the book.

I enjoy PNR and was in one of my rare military romance moods so thought I'd give this a shot.

Pro
I read it fairly quickly and wanted to read more.

Con
The romance was rushed and didn't really make a lot of sense without the psychic binding (?) element.
I didn't understand why Dan believed in Mia's powers so quickly.
The identify of the villains were totally obvious from the second they showed up.
Somehow there were extra Arab Muslim villains because why not?

I know every story needs exposition, but in this case it was too heavy-handed, slowing the pace even more than it was slow to begin with, and making the narration rather stilted.
The same can be said about the dialogues; they were rather stiff and formal, not really flowing with what was actually happening on the page. Instead of full of camaraderie of men having been through loads of missions together, these guys appeared mere acquaintances on their first mission ever.

All combined, the reading experience quickly turned rather "painful".

Emotionally gripping, action packed thrill ride filled with mystery, danger and devastating betrayal. Highly enjoyed this entertaining short but exciting romantic adventure.

Mia Fleming has struggled with vision she has never been able to fully understand since she was a child since even her parents never believed what she saw. She is kind, sweet, sexy and has very few people in her personal circle until Dan crashing into world. Dan Romeo is sexy, strong, alpha male stubborn and leaves nothing to chance in any op he plans. He is investigating an email warning a friend of danger when he finds the woman for him in the most unexpected way.

Love the Phoenix Agency and Desiree Holt. Erotic sex scenes, strong and sexy military men, intrigue, suspense and psychic abilities. Read the first book in the series years ago and just picked up book 2 which did not disappoint. Mia a precognitive has had her fair share of getting her visions right and wrong, but in this case she has harnessed her ability with help from Faith from book 1 who is a telepath and Faith's aunt and the Lotus Club of ladies with different psychic abilities. Dante "Dan" Romeo, partner in the Phoenix Agency meets his match with Mia. A lot of greed, murder and romance.

*I voluntarily read a review copy of this book. All opinions stated are solely my own and no one else's*

3.5 stars

I enjoyed this Extrasensory - it was fun, steamy with lots of mystery and suspense to keep you guessing.

The beginning was funny with Mia having some seriously sexy yet steamy visions. I sympathised with Mia; she's never been taken seriously and lives a very lonely, isolated life.

Loved the fire and passion burning between Mia and Dan - these two had an amazing connection.

I felt like slapping Joy repeatedly, every time she opened her horrible mouth.
