Well written. One of most eloquent RPG books, really helps the GM with vocabulary. Rules are occasionally too complex (fights! oh, dreadful!), but reading is VERY smooth.
Illustrations are OK, would've rated them better if I liked the "horror" aspect more, but actually I'm more of a "subtle and unexplained is more terrifying" kind of guy. :-)
