Linhartove osebe so smešne zaradi povsem običajnih človeških napak in slabosti. Tudi pozitivne osebe niso povsem brez njih. Ljubosumna sta oba - Matiček in baron.
I hate reading in my native language but the only reason why I had to read it was because of school. I gave it 4 out of 5 stars only for the shortness of it otherwise I would give it 3. The language was old and rusty, one Slovenian people partially stopped speaking a while ago. It was a bit hard to get into it but at the end, I feel accomplished as it was the first book in my language I read in... 10 years?
This was the worst book I’ve ever read (there were worse but that’s besides the point).
When I read it in my native language I had no clue what I read. It was so bad that it got to the point where I had to read the summary while I was reading it because it was so hard to understand due to the old language that was used. Also there were just too many characters and too much going on that I got really confused. Also the love triangles and some plot twists were just so bad and horribly written in my opinion.
Also I’ve just finished answering the question regarding this book for school and I am really praying that my teacher won’t grade my answers because they’re shit.
Also I get that we need to read books written by authors that are an important part of history for our country but if a child is forced to read this in the 21st century when there are a million other books (including the classics) that are way more interesting of course we will loose all the love and motivation for reading.
Anyway, if ypu need to read this book for school I send you my condolences also don’t try to use ChatGPT for answers because they’re all wrong. 💀
personally I didn't really like it that much, reading it with a friend and making jokes in-between made it a bit more tolerable tho. it's a bit harder to understand at the start but you eventually get used to it. As someone who mainly only reads books in English, I would rate this a solid 2, leaning towards 3 but not quite there. the plot wasn't really anything special and I had no interest in finishing the book after reading to page 20, I wouldn't have if it wasn't for school.
Surprisingly, I enjoyed it. It may be more difficult to understand because of the archaic language, but in the end it was quite fun. It's rare that I let out even a chuckle when I read stuff, but with this one I did. Overall pretty good, I'm glad this is on our school's "reading list".
Well. I'm only writing this because I swore to myself I would always write a review. I read this for school. It was alright, even funny at times. But let's be honest, it's two hours of my life I'll never get back.
