Jamie, an ex-thief with a history of alcoholism and violence, is the prime suspect in the death of the man who molested and killed a six year old girl during a burglary in San Francisco. Protected by his uncle’s influence and lack of evidence, he is not charged. For Jamie, the details of that night are buried in an alcoholic blackout. All he can remember is that he failed to protect an innocent child. Now sober four years, Jamie is visited nightly by his childhood fantasies of a mysterious Celtic warrior and a dark haired lady. The warrior beckons him to join in a quest of righteous justice. Jamie seeks to understand the warrior’s message but fears it would reopen the doors to a world of violence he has been desperate to escape. Coupled with the random appearances of the little girl, Jamie fears for his sanity.

Nice quick, easy read if a little light on substance.

Characters are a little one dimensional and stereotypical, that said the villain was enjoyably unlikeable and probably deserved a little more prominence.
