Rate this book
Paul de Jong shares how he learned to identify insecurity and disarm its hold on his life to experience real freedom in Christ. "I believe that second to sin, insecurity is life's greatest blocker of God-given potential. The truth is that, to some degree, we are all slaves of its controlling power. In this book I share my journey - and how I learned to identify insecurity and disarm its hold. You are not alone and with God's help and understanding, your best and freest days are ahead of you." - Paul de Jong.

Recommended reading, especially for those of us who may not think it applies!

de Jong provides real life insights into an area many of us don't reflect on: How does what we think of others perceptions of us affect the way we live?

The book could have benefited from an editor tightening the content and coherency. But I would still recommend reading this book for the great insights de Jong provides and the authentic insights into his life as a case study.

Insecurity isn't a subject that I would of that I struggled with, until reading this book. I realised during this book not only did I have a bundle of insecurity but by ignoring it I was allowing it to secretly control my decisions and actions, through following the book and walking through the different points Paul makes and facing things head on, I can honestly say I have seen a noticeable difference in how I walk out life in a big way. To which I think this book did a wonderful job on the issue!

I found this book to be not organized well and as a result somewhat difficult to follow. The points in the book are all very good points though.
