So... no summary for this one, but lots of ranting.

Basically... the main character is a dumb female specimen unfortunately representing my sex - but fortunately not defining every other woman out there otherwise we would all be dead in 1 or 2 centuries from abject stupidity.

So that all of you will understand, i'm going to say this plainly. She was still fucking her ex and wanted to get him back while he was screwing everything that moved because they were no longer together and he could put his dick wherever he wanted but she was not allowed to sleep around because he said so.

Long sentence, I know but it was the best I could do.

description

Mh-hm.

I know.

Yea.

She also listened to him and thought it was too outlandish to do the normal thing and set some hounds on him while he was on fire and pinned with very sharp wooden stakes on a very new needle bed.

If there is something i hate beyond words in any book, that is a female character that lacks the backbone or brain to do something other than justify her actions while on her back, legs spread. The vampire and their epic love story together after the douche of an exe is out of the picture is even more cheesy and painful that the whole 'i'm still fucking my ex although i know he cheated on me and still does it because i love him and want him back despite him saying that other women are just "appetizers".

Whatever that meant.

Sorry not sorry. Hated everything about this story from start to finish. Only thing that bothered me about the "slut" - as one of the characters correctly dubbed our wonderful heroine - was that she wasn't paid for her efforts after each session.

At least that way she would have had a legit reason to continue doing the nasty with ex.

Plus, the douche ex himself said she was great in bed, so she could have squeezed a bonus of cash for that at least. That right there is a golden business opportunity.

And what do we get instead? The prospect of a great business deal was completely ignored. I am genuinly thinking that all prostitutes out there are laughing at her stupidity since there is no doubt every one of them is infinitely smarter than she is.

It was actually sad how retarded she was. The vampire part seemed there just for the heck of it, too because chick readers dig all that supernatural thing.

Oh, well.

I'm out.

O...M...G. First let me say, this may be more of a rant than a review. That being said, the lead female was just as infuriating as her ridiculous name. I've read both books in this series so far and the male lead here, Jayvyn Redwolfe, was much more appealing than his brother, Adrian in book 1. That being said, the female lead, Cayenne Pepper (-_-), had me wanting to wrap my hands around her throat myself by chapter five. No offense to anyone who is crazy enough to do the same, but how desperate for penis do you have to be to willingly put up with someone who openly sleeps around, but objects to you doing the same? Has the nerve to get possessive while in the same breath admitting that he'll basically sleep with anything that has a vagina? Oh but it's fine because she's his number one piece. What kind of chauvinistic bull crap is that. That aside, the way the lead female (because I refuse to use that ridiculous name), kept going back and forth with whether or not she wanted Jay was downright annoying. I mean, who wouldn't get upset when someone all but dry humps you then says, "but I can't, I'm in love with someone else" the same someone else, mind you, who sleeps around so much he probably has a store of antibiotics in his fridge. Women like that infuriate me. If this back and forth and up and down had only gone on once then I may have been able to look past it, but this same cycle went on over and over and over again. Ms. Lee seems to repeat this very same pattern with a lot of her books, at least the ones I've read so far, yet I keep reading them, and will probably read more, honestly. Guess because IR is my favorite I'm not the biggest fan of the level of vulgarity with her titles either. I think the language she uses is a bit much and not called for, even in the category of erotica. Anywho, that's my two cents.

Good read

I enjoyed this book. It fed my paranormal love of reading. It was erotic but tasteful at the same time. I like to read stories with a storyline I can understand.
