I was looking forward to reading this book. For one thing, who doesn't love Scottish men! Plus, I knew it was a prequel to "The Great Scot" written by Donna Kauffman ,which I am anxious to read...I mean have you seen the cover?? He is OH SO PRETTY...so if the book is as good as the cover is, well I figure I am in for a treat! Lucky for me, this was a very good book! It is a three story anthology about 3 out of 4 brothers living in a small village in Scotland.
Brodie Chisholm runs the local Pub. He is a generally nice man with a great sense of humor and a big heart. His best friend Kat Henderson, the local tomboy and grease monkey, gives him the surprise of his life one day, when she walks into his bar all cleaned up. Suddenly, he is sees Kat in a different light. I really liked this story because of the "I have loved you forever, but denied it" storyline. It is a very satisfying read and I liked Brodie and Kat both. They are well suited together.
Reese Chisholm is running the family Whiskey refinery. His business has always been family owned and ran without any use of modern technology. (yes, he doesn't even use a computer) American Daisy MacDonald is determined to bring his business into this century, despite his reservations. Reese is a very serious hero. He works hard, and puts others before himself. Daisy is similar to him in many ways, and when they get together they realise that they definately need to get more PLAY into their lives.
Tristan Chisholm is a sheepherder and artist. He lives away from others and prefers the company of his sheep and dog than the hustle and bustle of the village his brothers live in. When famous author Bree Sullivan crashes into his life, he realizes he wants something more. True Love.
All of the men in this anthology are so likeable. They are caring, strong and self-assured. Heres the best part...so are the women in this book. I liked the heriones as well. They were well matched with their hero and it was a fun read.

Three novellas following three brothers (the fourth gets his own novel, which I’m definitely reading next). One friends to lovers, two instalust. The stories (and brothers) went together, but were all quite different. Sometimes anthologies can get a bit repetitive, but this one wasn’t.
The title of this collection makes no sense though. The heroes are not bad boys. They’re all quite precious, really. Also at no time do they wear kilts. I realize men in contemporary Scotland usually wear pants, I do. But I like kilts. And both the title and the blurb promise me kilts. Give me kilts.
The setup for the third story, Tristan’s, was probably my favorite - writer on the run from celebrity holes up with a reclusive shepherd. However, both characters were just in their heads a bit too much. I didn’t need that much internal monologue. All that thinking took away from the steamy scene, which had been one of the best parts of the two previous stories.
Speaking of, the steam in the first two stories is fantastically done. You can really feel the chemistry between the couples.

This is three novellas or short stories set in modern day Scotland. The connecting link is the Chisholm brothers, each of whom is unique and adorable in his own way. The character depictions are well-drawn, the erotic tension good in each story, and each heroine is unique and like able as well. The full length novel is reserved for the eldest Chisholm brother and is in his own book, The Great Scot, which is up next! Makes you want to visit Scotland! ;-)

Brother 1-Brodie Chisholm. Kat Henderson, mechanic (& daughter of the local mechanic) was best friends with the local bar keep, Brodie. Daisy moved into town as a result of inheriting her deceased Aunt's print shop. Daisy considered herself somewhat of a matchmaker and strongly hinted to Brodie that Kat might be interested in more than just a friendship. That got Brodie thinking and he decided to make a move that resulted in a more permanent relationship between the two of them.
Brother 2-Reese Chisholm. Daisy was in Marketing in the US before moving to Scotland. Daisy wanted to expand her print shop business into advertising and marketing. Her first target was the Chisholm distillery which was a local distillery that produced malt whiskey. Reese ran the distillery and found Daisy irresistable. Reese agreed to let Daisy develop a web-site for the distillery and they formed both a personal and business relationship.
Brother 3-Tristan Chisholm. Bree Sullivan is an author who became an overnight celebrity. She was under pressure from her readers and her publisher to write another book but was having trouble due to paparazzi following her everywhere she went. She needed time away and decided to take that time for herself in Scotland. She ended up driving into a storm and she swerved to miss a sheep and her car got sucked into a rapidly rising stream of water. Tristan saw her tail lights passing by his house and with the storm, quickly determined that she needed help. He had to cut her out through the roof of her convertible that she had rented. They were instantly attracted to each other and through discussion it was decided that Bree would stay with Tristan to get her time away and her book written. Her live for Tristan inspired her to write and Tristan was inspired by Bree to paint. Tristan was a sheepherder who also painted while he was tending his sheep. He was used to being alone but quickly decided he liked having Bree around. They decided to stay together.
The story ended with them attending Brodie's wedding together. He talked with Reese and decided he would ask Bree to marry him but not until after the wedding so as to not take attention away from the wedding.

Read many years ago.
Going through some of my oldies for a change of pace.
Picked up THE GREAT SCOT then realised I needed to read the three younger brothers first. Not a hardship to reread about these Chisholm brothers.
Simple, instant lust reads except for Kat and Brodie who grew up together.
BOTTOMS UP
Enjoyable but found these two best friends a bit sad in that they couldn’t be honest about their feelings. To be truthful it was more Kat knowing she wanted Brodie and not acting, and Brodie being oblivious until knocked upside the head.
Loved the village and how everyone knows everything happening. No privacy or secrets.

Loved Daisy in book one so happy to read her story with the quiet Reese.
These two are a great match, Daisy with her go getter attitude and Reese with his old fashioned ways and beliefs. A good blending and balance is found.
Laughed at their business meeting in the pub.

I'd like to give it 2.5 stars. It was just a little better than OK and that's mainly due to the first story. There are three stories in this book, each follows a different Chisholm brother, and I like them in order of their appearance. The first one is rather enjoyable- though very little of actual plot, mostly just sexy time (of which there was a lot more than I was expecting)-it's the most realistic in terms of the relationship. The second one is ok but that's it. Third one is just a pain to read. It just drags on. In the 11 chapters, aside from some sexy talk, there is only maybe a 1 page total of dialogue. 90% of this story is "she felt _____" "he was happy that_____ and hoped that____" "she never thought that____". Also I find it to be completely unrealistic.*

For an anthology, this was really great! The stories were only about 100 pages each, which means fast romances without a lot of depth. However, the setting (small Scottish village of Glenbuie) and the characters were so wonderful. The three heroines were all so different: tom-boy mechanic Kat, perky American Daisy and world-weary author Bree, but they were likable and witty and relatively normal. The guys were just what you want in a sexy Scottish hunk. The three brothers were very different, from affable, easygoing Brodie to professional and proper Reese to loner, sexy Tristan. They all were strong and honorable to the core, with a wicked streak and a good sense of humor. I liked each of the stories and found this book to be very romantic and fun!

Well, Donna Kauffman certainly has a writing formula. That's even more obvious when you read an anthology like this one. She uses the same phrases of impact ('you can keep doing that forever...'), the characters are all alike, with one small characteristic or other, but pretty much all the same. The men are all tall, dark, handsome and don't want the heroine to fear them/and or feel too comfortable with them (Oookaaay), and the heroines are all small, thin, lithe with freckles, add different hair color.
At least the steamy parts were nice. They were all the same, too, but pretty hot.

Three separate stories of three Chisholm brothers. Very cute. However, the novella format makes me wonder if author Donna Kauffman doesn't have the skills or ability to support a longer more in depth story. They could've been great as full length novels. I will definitely be looking out for more books by Donna Kauffman.
The reason it only gets three stars is because the story didn't have time to develop properly to attach my heart to it. They were all just cute stories. I wasn't so much invested in the happenings because I didn't have enough time or circumstances to draw me into their lives, their hopes, etc.

I liked it..it was three different stories all connected by place and brothers who were very different in personalities and choice of women/ heroines. I particularly liked kat the most out of the women, but daisy was infectious and out of the guys well I would have to go with reese but tristan would be a close second. I do wish we would have gotten a happy ending for dylan, he was mentiioned a few times but we didn't get too much more than the bad hand he had been dealt. Overall the characters were funny and memorable and the romance was there in sintilating scenes of intense passions

This was a pretty good book. It took me a little while to read because it didn't really pull me in completely, but I enjoyed reading it. There were good characters, story lines, fun and humor, some steamy scenes, plenty of emotions, and written well. The first and last stories were better than the middle one in my opinion. I really liked reading those, but I had to kinda had to work a little to get thru the second story. It was more ok and the others were good. Overall a pretty good book and good for a rainy-day read or something to pass the time. Enjoy

This is the next series by Donna Kauffman that I decided to read. Right now there are two books in this series which is full of hot Scot's in kilts how can that be bad. Some of the stories are a little unbelievable but that makes them every girls dream - right?

This “review” is based on the audiobook.
This book includes three short stories of three of the four Chisholm brothers. I enjoyed each story very much, however, Chloe Lynn’s narration was not very exciting. You may want to bump up the speed to 1.2x or 1.3x unless you want to fall asleep.

Picked this up a while back. It's been collecting dust on my bookshelf. Decided to finally dive into this! This is an anthology with 3 stories.
Bottoms UP
We follow Brodie and Kat. He runs the local pub and she works on cars. They have been friends forever, but Kat has loved him for years.
This was such a cute friends-to-lovers story! You could tell that Brodie even had some sort of feelings for her, but he didn't even know. Men are blind.
I also loved how Tomboy-ish Kat is. She works on cars and loves it! She was adorable and they were perfect for each other. I thought it was a cute flip. Normally it is the girl who works the bar and the manly man who works on cars. Loved it! Screw gender roles.
My favorite of the three for sure! 5 stars.

The next one follows Brodie's brother, Reese, and Daisy. Reese is a polished and proper businessman. He only cares about supporting his family and running the family's the distillery. Daisy is an American who just came to town. She wants to help local businesses like Reese get on the map and grow.
Reese was too stiff. Sure, I get he has to be proper since he is the face of the company now, but still....relax man. I liked Daisy...she was perfect for him. She also has her own business, but she can be relaxed and fun. Just what he needs. He'll learn that life is about balance.
I think this couple needed more time to get to know each other. They are so different on the outside and he is just too proper.
I enjoyed it, but it wasn't my favorite. 3 stars.

Lastly, we follow Tristan and Bree. Tristan wants a quiet life...he just wants to herd his sheep with a poet and painter's heart. Bree is a newly famous author who wants to get away so she came to Scotland looking for that quiet. When Bree gets into an accident after a freak storm Tristan rescues her. They find they are so different, but oh so similar.
This one was cute! Love how they really both want simple lives. Yes, Bree loves that her book is beloved, but the American paparazzi are insane and she wants to get away and just enjoy writing again. Tristan just wants a quiet life too with his paint and his sheep. They were perfect for each other.
They fall pretty quickly, but it seemed to work for them. They get a lot of alone time and they talk a lot which was nice. No huge drama here.
The epilogue has me wanting more!! There is a book 2, but I think that follows the last brother who just came home. I'll have to check it out.
4 stars for this one.

In the end, this was good. All three stories were cute. I wanted more for the 2nd one...I feel like the two didn't get much time and Reese was too proper. I'll give this 4 stars overall. For sure worth the read!

This is three porn books sold as a short stories. There is nary a story in sight. No kilts either, what a disappointment. I had read book two first and liked it alot, so I was excited to read about the three other brothers. They are men easy to love. The women they fall for are easy to like. It's just too much, too quick, in too much detail. The first story covered less then 24 hours and over half was one sex scene! The second book is a perfect example of why it's hard for women in business. If all their business meetings are the men thinking about them between the sheets, that spells disaster. No wonder there is a me too movement. The third book has a tiny bit of a story, but a very troubling beginning.
I hope there are not young women out there that fall for the message that sex means love. They will live very dissatisfied lives if that is what they look for.

This was my bad here. I don't like contemporary romance. But I really wanted to like this because, duh, hot Scottish men. Unfortunately, I was really bored with the whole thing. The three stories are each quick reads, and maybe that's why, but I never got into any of them. Things just seemed so repetitive too. In each story. Honestly, I never really felt like picking this book back up after having to set it down. I'm not saying it was bad, but this book definitely wasn't for me.

Bad Boys in Kilts is a deliciously yummy Scottish, contemporary romance collection. It features three novellas about the Chisholm Brothers, which all lead perfectly into the follow-on novel about the fourth. Each of the brothers are great characters on their own. A great way to drift away into a happy world of lust and love, and happily ever afters. Kauffman manages to follow a family of boys who all have completely different lives, whilst keeping the thread of family alive between them. A wonderful few hours reading to relax and leave a smile on my face.
I love how each of these novellas is a wonderful standalone, but they also lead wonderfully into each other. The three women partner alongside the three men wonderfully. All of the dynamics are starkly different to one another, stopping that feeling of same same that often comes along with novellas written by the same author one after the other.
This collection was all around delicious. It was fun, light and engaging. Incredibly cute, and now I can’t wait to read about the fourth Chisholm Brother.
