This all-purpose reference includes 340 species of birds, land and sea mammals, reptiles and plants. Descriptions, illustrations and range maps simplify identification.
Another Canadian Nature guide, this one on BC. Like the Alberta one, these books help to identify the most common plants and animals of the specific region. For those that have used a nature guide to identify a creature in their backyard only to discover it only lives in the jungles of Bolivia, you know the value in a guide like this. There is a lot of overlap between this book and the Alberta guide. The section on the seaside creatures however, is invaluable.
