From Bridesmaid to Bride Sarah Sullivan Winslow Jones, struggling artist, is getting married - for the third time. Who best to be her bridesmaid again but her elder sister, Maddy Sullivan. Maddy doesn't mind being a bridesmaid for her younger sister for the third time. After all, as a divorce lawyer whose own sister is her best customer, she is disillusioned with love and marriage. Maddy has different goals and has no time for romance. Griffen Lorimer, the groom's brother, has been too busy taking care of the family business to fall seriously in love. But that was before he met his new sister-in-law, Maddy Sullivan. His new goal - to turn Maddy from bridesmaid into bride!
This is a contemporary romance with a sweet divorce lawyer and a hot sexy veterinarian. This is Maddy Sullivan and Griffen Lorimer's love story. If you're wondering who is the 3xbridesmaid, it is Maddy, sorry if I spoiled it for you, but this all comes out in the first chapter. She is the older sister to a flighty artist that has had two train wrecks of a marriage and now is going to marry a doctor that is a friend so it is a third marriage without passion, but full of practicalities. Maddy has never been in love but she does date friends and it was been sans passion so she is OK with her sister doing this (after all she had planed to do the same with the nasty Ralph). She meets the brother of her sister's fiance... ta da! It is Griffen and they fall instantly in lust with each other. It is cute how they both decided independently to seduce the other into falling in love so that they can make their fake engagement into a read one. The 'twist' at the end was really obvious, but that didn't bother me. This is light romantic story so I wasn't looking for a complicated mystery... Otherwise, I would be reading a mystery, yup you know it. This was well written and edited so it was a quick cute read without any characters having weird or sad hang-ups. I got this free for kindle.
This is a great little read. I laughed all the way to the altar. If you want a romantic happy ending but making you laugh, this is the short story for you
Although the premise for this book had great potential. I couldn't get interested and the lead female character had an obsession with her brain that didn't seem to jive with her persona. But to the authors credit she maintains that quirk throughout the book.
