How I rate books:

5 stars - Loved. With a passion. These are books I probably stayed up all night to finish. They made me cry, laugh, stop breathing or a combination of the three.

4 stars - Liked a great deal, but something (maybe something small) kept me from giving it another star. Still amazing books.

3 stars - Some of these I like well enough, but don't love. Some I have mixed feelings about, but don't want to give 2 stars.

2 stars - I tried to like it. I may have forced myself to finish it. Major issues with plot, characters, editing or all of the above kept me from rating higher.

1 star - I'm trying to stay away from giving these out, but these are for books I felt wasted my time and/or money. There may be a few I didn't finish, but those are rare. Mostly these are books that not only didn't resonate with me, but I hated them after a certain point for multiple reasons.

Unrated - I wrote it.

Or, the book was unusual in some way (characters or plot). I don't want to give it a low star rating because the writing wasn't bad, it just didn't appeal to my particular tastes.

I like short stories. Sometimes I just don’t have the time or attention to give to a full-length novel, but still I crave a solid plot, believable characters and strong emotions. First Impression satisfied my every need and then some.

Damon is a rock star who doesn’t really care about the rumors floating around about him as long as people buy his music. Though he’s accustomed to playing at stadiums, he enjoys the intimacy of small club shows that allows him to more easily connect with his fans.

When he takes a young, eager fan backstage, Damon gets just a little more than he expected.

This 7-page story really hit the spot.

I didn't like the main character, he was kind of a jerk. I also prefer more romance and the sex was so so. But the writing was good, the characterization was good too. I think I just didn't like the scenario and the story was too short to build anything up enough for me. I definitely will read another of hers.

Super shot interlude between a rock star and a fan (trying to start his own band) after a show. Only 4 pages, so it is what it is, but I could see there being more to the two and making a longer story.
