I'm a big fan of Cat Johnson, but this one was just OK. 3 stars for the steamy scenes that Cat does oh-so-well!
Ansley is the epitome of the spoiled rich girl/brat. She's used to getting what she wants without having to do much for it. What she's been getting lately is a lot of "sort-of" (by her definition) sex (everything but actual intercourse). Her attitude has been pretty much, if it's fun go ahead and do it...with whoever's available at the time. When her fun leads her to jail one night however, her grandmother decides she's had enough and she's shipped off to grandma's old college friend in small town Colorado. Once she arrives, she encounters the Kane brothers, who introduce her to true intimacy.
I thought this was a great idea for a story...spoiled rich girl goes to the country and gets an attitude adjustment courtesy of some hot, yet sensitive cowboys. I think 125 pages just wasn't enough to do the plot justice though - her attitude seemingly changes overnight. For me, it was far too quick to be even close to believable. The steamy scenes were great, but I would have liked for more of them to be with the brothers - too many were near the beginning for my taste.
All in all, a quick and steamy read - not bad, but nothing spectacular.

it's 2 1/2 stars really
Ansley is a girl who knows what she wants....she wants anal sex. After being caught in a compromising position by the police, her Grandmother sends her out to the country to learn some manners. Upon landing in said town, she heads to the nearest bar where she proceeds to get drunk. The beautiful city girl fascinates the lovely bartender, Jeremy. When she throws herself at him, he can't say no to her offer of oral sex and they end up in very hot position on the bar. When he realises that Ansley is to be staying at his ranch for the summer, he takes a giant step back, afraid his Grandmother (who is best friends with her grandmother) will blow a fuse. Unfortunately, for him Ansley has other ideas and, after meeting his other lovely brother Ryan, decides what she really wants is the both of them. Can the brothers hold out on giving this very insistent, and very naughty, city girl what she wants?
This book features two VERY hot cowboys. Jeremy is the hard-working, gruff cowboy who doesn't have as much fun as he should. Ryan is the loveable rogue, who is the one that was undoubtedly going to crack under the immense pressure that Ansley puts them under to succumb to her charms (Masturbation where they can hear her? what man could resist that?). I enjoyed both characters. I ended up feeling very sorry for Ansley. She was so misguided about what constituted sex that I wanted to shake her and make her sit through some sex ed lessons. She was so insistent that she wanted the brothers together she hacked me off a little bit; she was an incredibly selfish and manipulative lover. She knew they wanted her so did everything in her power to get them to come to her on her terms. I was glad that they decided to call her on it with the way they taught her what intimacy entails. I felt that the ending was very quick but this is a novella so it was to be expected.
I read this book because I love Cat's work. I really don't know how to rate this book as it was undoubtedly very hot, but touched on a subject that is a little bit icky to me with brothers sharing in a ménage situation. A friend asked me why I had an issue, stating "as long as they don't cross swords it’s not incest", and I really can't explain it! I will say that, in this book, it made the characters a little uncomfortable, which didn't make me warm to the idea. Will I read from this line again? Undoubtedly! There was all I could have asked for in the sex department with piggin string, cherries and a massively hot masturbation scene. It was just the brother’s thing that threw me....if this doesn't bother you then read this book!

Ansley is graduating college and her parents didn't bother to come home to see it. She gets her diploma and leaves with a friend to get drunk and party. At the party she is drunk and naked in a hot tup with her girlfriend and 2 guys. Ansley has convinced herself that only vaginal interourse is sex. Anything else goes, but vaginal intercourse she is saving for her true love. She and her naked friends are arrested for a variety of charges including drunken, disorderly, naked and lewd behavior. She makes her one call to her grandmother who refuses to bail her out. Her girlfriend's parents bail the 2 of them out. Ansley's punishment is that she cannot go to her parents and spend the summer in Italy with them, nor can she party with her friends, she is shipped off to a small town. Actually outside of the small town in CO on a ranch. There her outrageous behavior coming on to the 2 brothers who run the ranch for their grandmother (college friend of Ansley's grandmother) tells the brothers that she is determined to be such a pain that her family, if not her hostess, will end her punishment. As Ansley chooses to love both brothers, the brothers decide for Ansley they can learn to share a woman, and they have a wild summer together. The brothers teach her that even a kiss can be intimate and everything else she was doing was just meaningless sex. What will happen when the summer ends?

I enjoyed this. At first, I kept rolling my eyes every time she said oral and anal sex wasn't really doing it. Then I realized what the point was, and she finally got it. I liked Jeremy and Ryan. It took a while for me to like Ansley. I think Jeremy's assertion of why she was how she was was dead on, which is kind of sad. I was glad he could show her a difference. I sort of agree with others that it just sort of ended, and I would have preferred a happier, more permanent ending, but it was sweet. Maybe we'll get to see more of them later?

This was hot. I will admit it, but OMG was it completely frustrating. It's like the author came up to her word requirement in the middle of the story and then just ended it. I was totally like WTF!?! When the heroine gets her two hot cowboys, the story just shriveled up and died! Very disappointing.

Very Hot stuff!!! If your looking for a spicy read this would do it for anyone. Would have loved to given it five stars but wanted more from the "couple". Felt like we got cut short on their end of the story.

Really love this short book. I laught out loud through a lot of it. It is really HOT. Good points: great lovable leading males! Ansley is great in her own way as well. Not sure what reaction to her is yet. I need more. The ending needed more and really hoping Cat rights me a sequel. Lol :)

Ansley is the typical rich girl who's parents have ignored her most of her life and is lashing out after her college graduation. After being caught literally with her pants down, she is exiled to the Colorado ranch of her grandmother's friend. When she meets the owners hot as sin grandson's the Kane brothers, the attraction is fast and the heat is undeniable. Who could choose between two steamy hot cowboys even if they are brothers?
This one had real potential and I really want to give it higher, but unfortunately the end just crashed for me. I loved the build up with her teasing the guys and them eventually caving, but then after their first encounter with all of them together it skips to her leaving! We miss any actual relationship building with too much lead up for that to happen. I just wish it would have been longer for the author to explore that more, but up until that point though I really enjoyed this book.

A concept that has been done better by other authors. It did have possibilities that were never fully realized. No reason or true emotion is given for the three to immediately commit to each other. We had an introduction to Ansley's behavior that got her sent to Colorado. We had a beginning of her and the brother's relationship. Then jump to end of summer and she is returning to the eastcoast. This appeared to be just a preliminary idea for a longer book, but when the book did not happen it was published a novella. Not enough character development. Not enough plot development. Not enough!

This book made me laugh so many times... for the wrong reasons, of course :)but it still deserves two starts for making me laugh!
The plot and the events in this book are so unbelievable that I felt like I was reading a 1980's porn script. I mean, a 21 year-old who arrives in a hick-town(her words), goes straight to the only bar and asks the bar tender for kinky sex on the counter? Where do these people live? Only in Cat Johnson's imagination, I'm sure.
But, if all you are looking for is some sort of story with lots of unbelievable sex scenes in it, this might be the book for you.

Thoroughly enjoyed this one and was sad to see it end.
Couldn't help but feel bad for Ansley since as an only child her parents couldn't be bothered to attend her graduation. It was easy to see how she became almost emotionally disconnected but seeking an emotional connection with anyone she could.
She almost used sex to feel connected to someone else however briefly it lasted. I loved the connection with both Kane men and how Jeremy made sure she understood what intimacy meant AND felt like. The only bad part for me was that it ended but the ending still made me smile. Great read!

Ainsley sees herself as a typical sexual woman everybody else sees the spoiled little rich girl that she really is she doesn't do anything that hurts anybody else she's just tired of her parents always letting her down but to be sent away to the middle of nowhere Colorado is just crazy now how is she to have an amazing summer after college....I really enjoyed what happens when trouble comes to town...onto the next

I really don't like reading novella's..but since it was Cat and a new line she's writing I had to check it out. Of course, it was short and with the first few chapters I loved it. And then when the heroine got what she wanted, it just fizzled and ended. The lead up was great but then it all went down hill. But with that, I understand it is a novella and what else should I expect?!

I did not enjoy this book. It starts out this all the characters having sex with others and then finally about ch. 5 they finally meet. Ansley is a virgin but will have anal sex freely? And it didn't get any better from there. I barely finished it I skimmed a lot and finally got to the end (THANK GOD!!) Just not worth reading.

I really loved Jeremy and Ryan's characters. The way Jeremy was with Ansley made her open her eyes and understand the real meaning behind sexual interactions with those another her. I would really like to see Ms. Johnson explore more with these characters.

September 1, 2016I should have realized when the blurb mentioned Gossip Girl that this wasn´t my cup of tea. Too much teenage dramarama, it was jumping between four or was it five POV, lots of "awesome" sex. I´m so sorry, but I think I´ve become too old for teen reads.

Bought in the Alpha Bad Boys 7 book set.
Good thing it came with some decent books and all for 99 cents cause this one was hilarious and not in a good way. Totally unbelievable plot. And how can a 21 year old college girl not know what "sex" is? Anyway, it was just too over the top IMO.

Although Ansley was a bit of a Brat and a little bit of an Air Head, this book is a must read. I like how by the end of just 3 short months she grew as a person. I hope there will be a book 2 soon.
