The only first person narrative I have read which details a Greek Jews flight from the Nazis in occupied Greece. Worth the read for this alone, but I felt the narrative, as assembled by Fromer, was often confusing.

A clear, concise, and heart-rending account of a greek Jewish family via the one surviving member. Haunting.

Very sad account written in the first person although it is not a primary source. It is also very poetic and while the subject survives the Holocaust his Sephardic/Greek culture is annihilated. I read this brief account in essentially one sitting.
