This is the third novel in the Alex Reynolds series. In this one we find Alex, Peter and Jeanne mixed up with fanatic religious zealots, chasing a purple diamond and inheriting a dog. This is not brain surgery and it doesn't pretend to be. It's a fun romp. It's more a trio than a duo this time. We have a little more Peter and less Jeanne. Alex is still his naive self and it's okay. It was something fun to read while I'm nursing a cold.

This was highly entertaining. It is part of a series, but I seem to be reading it out of order. Oops!

This involved a missing diamond that these baddies were willing to kill for to get back. Well...I figured out where it was located 100 pages before our 'hero.'
