If you're looking for a few trite platitudes you can throw around at the dinner table, then you may find something of value in this book. If you're looking for a serious inquiry into the prospects for the "nation-state" to survive in the 21st century, then avoid this arduous intellectual masturbation like the plague. And really, if you're looking for trite platitudes, read Slavoj Zizek instead. At least he's funny.
