She'd turned her back on glamour and fame and Kate Stanislaski Kimball had come home to begin a new life. The only thing more perfect than the beautiful--dilapidated--building she'd bought for her new dance school was Brody O'Connell, the frustrating, surprisingly fascinating contractor she'd hired for the renovation.
A man didn't often come across a woman as gorgeous, sensuous, provocative...and utterly irritating as Kate. But Brody was determined to resist her effortless allure. She was Natasha Stanislaski's pampered, perfect daughter, and not at all the right woman for him. But every fiber of his being longed to make her his....

"Courage comes in different forms, Brody. There's strength—that's the muscle. But love's the heart. When you put them together, you can do anything. That's worth a few sentimental tears."
"Considering Kate" is the story of Kate and Brody!
AH SO GOOD!!!! I LOVE YOU NORA!
The book has the beautiful love story of our h and H- she has returned from her glamorous and famous life as a revered ballerina to open a dance academy in Shepherdstown and be closer to her family. Being the youngest daughter of Natasha, and a cherished member of the Stanislaskis- Kimball clan, she believes in happily ever afters.. and finds her true love in the H, the contractor she hires to build her studio. She soon falls heavily in love with him and his adorable son, slowly wooing them to be part of her life as well as her family.
I think my favorite part of this book is just the honesty with which all characters deal with their emotions. There are no misunderstandings, no denials- just wonderful people communicating their true feelings with one another. Whether it were the scenes between the h and her family, the h and H, the h and H's son, the h and H's family- every single moment left a mark and made my heart skip its beat. The lovemaking scenes are sexy, romance swoon-worthy, angst minimal but heartbreaking and jealousy enticing. I adored the h's interactions with the h and his son, but especially his son. I FLOVED THIS!
"Dad and I like you, too. A whole lot. So I was wondering…" He looked up at her, his eyes so young, so earnest. "Will you marry us?"
"Oh." Her heart stumbled, then fell with a splat. "Oh, Jack."
ADORABLE ❤️ Último libro de la serie "Los Stanislaski". Seis historias PRECIOSAS. Una gran familia, encantadora y entrañable. Y el sello inconfundible de Nora Roberts. ¡Un placer!
This is one of those "awww" type books - more sappy romance than anything else. I wouldn't want to read that type of story all the time, but it's nice once in a while. And I especially enjoyed it in this case because the book is a continuation of a series that I really enjoy.
One of my favorite parts of this book is the parallel that is created between the romance of Kate and Brody, and romance of Kate's mother and father, Natasha and Spence (Taming Natasha, Stanislaskis #1). The romances start off much the same way. Which could have easily come off as cheesy or too contrived, but it actually works very well and is entirely believable. And it creates a great full-circle between the first book in the series and the last book.
Overall, this is a sweet romance to read. I enjoyed Brody and Kate and the relationship that develops between them. And as always, I love the family connection. Which I think makes this book more interesting to read than it would be on it's own. The family-series connections make this book more well-rounded.
So if you're reading this series, you should definitely continue with this one. But if you're a Nora Roberts fan and just considering this book, I'm not sure you'll like it. It's not at all like her single title releases. And for those of you who don't like sappy endings, beware, this one has one.
My only complaint? That this was the last book in the series. I'm disappointed there won't be anymore Stanislaski books. I was especially hoping for one for Brandon, Kate's brother. But oh well. That's the way things are.
Thoroughly enjoyed this series. Written long ago by one of my favorite authors, but still a good one. Still hard to believe I had not read it before. Glad I found it. ;)
Hated to see this wonderful series come to an end. I loved the entire series so much. Sweet, well written romance novel. I LOVE Nora Roberts books. She is one of the best writers I've experienced reading. I enjoy her writing style, and this book was so enjoyable from start to finish. Made me warm and fuzzy all over. The characters in all the Stanislaski books were so unique and made you want to be part of their family! I look forward to reading more of Nora Roberts because each one just keeps getting better/more enjoyable.
This is one of my favorites of Nora Roberts' old category romances. I listened to it this time in audio. The narration worked for me, appropriately capturing the characters' feelings and gender. Most particularly, the story still worked for me and I suspect I'll listen to it again in the future.
Kate Kimball has returned home after years as a prima ballerina to open her own dance school. The building she purchases is in dire need of renovation and the contractor, single dad, Brody O'Connell, is everything Kate has ever wanted in a man. Now she just has to convince the reluctant Brody that she is the perfect match for him as well.
This is a solid ending to the series although there are too many similarities plotwise to Taming Natasha, and Kate is an even pushier version than Freddie in Waiting for Nick. Her determination to "get her man" is overdone, especially since Brody is not all that interested in a serious relationship. If the positions were reversed, Brody would be considered a stalker.
Once again, the updates on the rest of the Stanslaski clan are a delight, and Spence's difficulties accepting that his youngest child is all grown up are sweet and endearing.
All in all, this has been an entertaining series and Christina Traister's narration notches up the enjoyment factor. The 2nd book, Luring a Lady is the best of the bunch.
I really loved this book, as i did Waiting for Nick, but i loved Brody's connection with his son, and how above everything he wanted to protect him and put him first and Brody realized that Kate wanted the same thing. I loved how Kate pushed him, and then at the end they were both at the same place without even knowing it! I think my favorite part was when Jack proposed to Kate and how he wanted her to live with them and marry his dad and give him a baby sibling. I also loved how Kate proposed or Brody, either one, waiting for Jack, it was perfect and totally them. I also loved how Brody and Kate met at the toystore, just like her parents, and how he also already had son. I also liked seeing more of her parents, especiallt her dad, he loved her so much, and also Nick and Freddie with their cute kids! i really loved this, Nora Roberts is amazing the way she can pull a reader in!
Nora Roberts' blue collar heroes are a foundational text for me. She also is an underrated kid writer, IMO. I really like this one a lot, the balance between fanservice and the actual couple in the book is about perfect. She does use the g**** slur a couple of times in this and other books, and it's always a bit jarring to me, even though I'm perfectly aware that it's a word that I have only tried to excise completely from my vocabulary in my lifetime and these books were written 20+ years ago.
I am sad to see the last of the Stanislaski's ride into the sunset. Kate is the youngest daughter of Spence and Natasha. She has given up her life as a dancer as she wants to go back to her roots and start a dance school in her home town. She buys a large building, but it needs a lot of work, so enter Brody a single widower with a young son, Jack, and a builder too. I love the involvement of Jack in the story as it develops.
Kate, the baby of Spence and Natasha's branch of Stanislaski's, was a ballet dancer for years, but now she's decided to open up a ballet school in her hometown in West Virginia. She encounters contractor and single father, Brody O'Connell, acknowledges their shared attraction but is very hesitant to do anything about it. After all, he's caught up in doing the work on rehabbing the building for the dance school and being a good father to his son, Jack. But Kate isn't one to give up on what she wants and she wants Brody and Jack.
This is was very average to me as a story. There isn't a lot of angst or even romantic tension going on...you have a little bit with Brody being hesitant to start anything, but there isn't a lot of push-pull. Well, maybe a lot of push on Kate's part, but Brody wasn't hard to convince. There was also a little bit of tension as Brody has a really tough time getting a handle on what he and Kate actually have, but the only thing that made that tense was Kate's impatience. She wanted him to love her right then and was hurt that he didn't yet.
There was a whole lot more tension going on between Brody and his Dad and that was a fascinating, borderline abusive relationship, but unfortunately, I didn't like how that turned out. It upset me that Kate listened to Brody's father berate him and tell him he was a screw-up as a man and as a father and then (after yelling at the father) turn around and yell at Brody for allowing the relationship between him and his father to stay so strained. She basically called him a failure as a son. For me, that was akin to calling a woman being emotionally abused by her husband, a failure as a wife. And what counts as reconciliation between these two is both too far and not far enough. First, I didn't really buy that his father would extend himself that far to even give a quasi-apology and second, his apology was lame and critical - what kind of apology is, I did my best by you, I may not have loved you but I supported my family and even if I didn't spend enough time with you the fact is I didn't like spending time with you the way I do with your son now.? And that's all it takes for Brody to forgive years of criticism and a lack of love.
But that relationship, while the most fascinating (even if it was frustrating), was only a tiny portion of this book. Most of this centers around the uber-perfect Stanislaski clan (they really are too good to be true) and Brody's little family unit. I kinda liked that this series went full circle with Natasha starting out thinking a single-father was actually married and now her daughter Kate doing the same thing. I'm gonna go ahead and guess that was intentional. I also like that Kate is as strong and confident as she is, but at times, her confidence nudged the line of arrogance and she got on my nerves when it did. I mean this woman is comfortable with the idea of sex, has no problems making the moves and is a straight-shooter. She's kinda similar in personality to Freddie, with the whole planning and impatience thing, but Kate had much more realistic goals for herself and she felt way more mature. That being said, this woman was pushy and seemed to lack manners at times. For me, it is the height of rudeness to go barging into someone's home uninvited, take yourself on a tour and get yourself a beverage when you know the owner is trying to get you to leave. But that didn't matter to Kate because she wanted Brody, so she "pushed" her way into his life whether he wanted it or not. She manipulates Brody into a date by going around his excuses and arranging his babysitter for him. Much later, she hops into an altercation between Brody and Jack and just takes over parenting, even when Brody says he's handling it. I didn't dislike Kate, but this pushiness was probably her least attractive trait. I don't like it when my characters don't listen to each other. Brody was clearly hesitant and needed time and she wasn't sensitive to that. The marriage proposal stuff at the end was cute though.

I really enjoyed reading this book. The setting for this book, is a Ballerina coming home to West Virginia. Even though she could have Continued ballet, traveled all over the world sipping Champagne, and dancing the lead characters such as Giselle, Aurora, And Juliet, she was returning home to live out another dream. She was going to open her very own Ballet studio. Why not? her family''s name plus her Success as a respected top ballerina could not hurt. Since she had been cautious with the money she was financially sound, what could Deter her from my past now? Kate Kimball did not see Brody O' Connell the contractor pushed towards her by her own family. Nor could she have Imagined that a little boy, would hold her heart. great book, great read , could not put it down.
Bu kitabı okumayı unutmuşum!! Spencer ve Natasha'nın küçük kızları Kate'in hikayesiydi.. Her seferinde söylüyorum bunu...
it was nice. i can’t say it was exceptional but nice. not the best book of the series but totally better than the previous one.
the plot had similarities to previous book but i guess it was inevitable. so it was the same book as about fmc’s mother, natasha, but with different names?
This is the second story, Considering Kate, in A Forever Kind of Love book. This is the ongoing saga of the Stanislaski family, a robust, loving and close-knit group who will do anything to support each other.
Kate, whose mother was a Stanislaski, is a prima ballerina who comes home to settle down and open her own dancing school. Being a ballerina is a grueling job that takes a toll on her and she knows that she can’t do it forever even though she loves it.
When Kate crosses paths with a contractor, Brody, who takes on the job of refurbishing the building she purchased for her studio, Kate feels a strong attraction to him which she strives to cultivate and convince Brody that he feels the same for her. She falls in love at the same time with Brody’s young son, Jack, who needs a mother.
Norah Roberts knows how to write beautiful love scenes that are sweet, tender and emotionally charged. Her stories are full of characters that interesting and unforgettable as the Stanislaski family.
I thoroughly enjoyed reading about this family that anyone would be fortunate to be part of.
There are few people who can write romance like Nora Roberts. This book was funny, sweet and romantic. A widower with a child makes for a sweet story. Throw in ballet and a father who can't relate to his son but can his grandson. You get a great story.
Maybe it is because I did not read this series in order or that this is my first Nora Roberts book, but I did not like this. I expect Christmas books to be cheesy but this went way beyond that. Plus, the love interests had no chemistry. All of their interactions felt forced.
Author: Nora Roberts First published: 2001 Length: ~2700 kindle locations Setting: Contemporary. Shepherds town, West Virginia. Sex: Explicit. Infrequent. Hero: Single father. Carpenter. Heroine: Prima Ballerina opening dance studio.
Easy read, nothing too dramatic. Single father not looking for a relationship and an independent, intelligent heroine who does the chasing. Nice character development. Good appearances from characters in previous books letting us see how they’ve gotten on (Rachel’s a judge!). Nice conclusion to the series.
Shame the bundle is books 3, 4 and 6 (printed in reverse order) and leaving book 5 to be searched up separately. Bit of a con, really, since I can buy it standalone at Amazon for 11.99AUD or in a bundle with books I’ve already read. The sort of thing that makes readers very annoyed :-(
3 stars.
The Stanislakis: Book 1 Taming Natasha - Natasha Stanislaski and Spence Kimball Book 2 Luring A Lady - Sydney Hayward and Mikhail Stanislaski Book 3 Falling for Rachel - Zackary Muldoon and Rachel Stanislaki Book 4 Convincing Alex - Bess McNee and Alex Stanislaski Book 5 Waiting For Nick - Frederica Kimball and Nicholas LeBeck Book 6 Considering Kate - Kate Stanislaski Kimball and Brody O'Connell
::4.5 stars:: but I am being generous and giving 5! I was really kind of nervous to read this book. I loved Nick and Freddies story so much, and Kate was really the only character we didn't get to know very well before hand. So I was worried that this book wouldn't hold the candle to Nick and Freddie. Boy was I worrying over nothing!! Right away I was in love with Kate and Brody and more importantly, with Jack. Nora Roberts does a fantastic job writing her Male and Female main characters, but she nails these super adorable, melt your heart string kids every single time. The conversation on the wall almost killed me with the cuteness of it. I thought I might die right there. I ended the book with a giant smile on my face and I may or may not have been giggling with the cuteness overload of the story. While it may not have been a literary masterpiece, this story will stay with me for a long time. I LOVED this series and am so happy that I finally read it!
This is the story of Natasha's youngest daughter Kate, an accomplished dancer who at the age of 25 has decided to retire and open a dance studio teaching ballet in her home-town. She meets the hero in her mother's shop and starts hitting on him and then finds out later that he is a widower raising his six year old son Jack and does not want to get involved but Kate is a modern woman who knows what she wants and makes all the moves. For, Brody his business and son is his priority and he doesn't need Kate in his life when he is not even sure what he feels or if she may want to go back to her career. Of course Kate falls for him hard and subtly manipulates stuff.
I found the book decent, not that great actually and not bad.
Great book!! I really want to be part of the Stanislaski family. The best part of book was the marrige proposal from little Jack to Kate, it was so sweet and adorable! I like Brody, he´s meticulous, careful and put his son's welfare first, a very admirable man. About Kate, she's a determinated woman and she knows what she wants but she's pushy and wants things to be on her own way, I think she should sit down and relax a little bit and have more patience. But like I said before the star of the book is Jack (Brody's son) he's just adorable, and it remind me of the way Natasha (Kate's mom) met Spencer (Kate´s dad), it's like the circle of life narrated in a beatiful story.
