Oh all Nora's series, this is the one I love best. I loved the Quinn men, especially Ray, the father who adopted them all. Despite the often horrific reasons they had been in the system, all of them tried their best to be the best men they could. Sometimes I got exasperated with them, wanting them to be happy, but they all got there in the end.

Yes, typical Nora Roberts style book... BUT, this is my 3rd trilogy and although same type concept they are GREAT!!!!
Love love this one! Characters were fab & I was pleasantly shocked out certain things that happened!
Hmmm... Now which trilogy of hers is next for me!?!?!? :)

These books are still one of my favorite Nora Roberts series. They are the epitome of what Nora does best, write involving characters in everyday situations that are fraught with emotional landmines. She guides her characters through with finesse. These are the books that I picked up when going through difficult emotional times myself.

I read this trilogy around ten years ago and it is my guilty little pleasure. I usually pull these books out around every 2 years and re-read. It is a great little beach read, not to heavy. Romance/Family Drama/Family Mystery.

I read this series many years ago. I think I may have been in high school. My mom and I read them and couldn't get enough of those Quinns! I am excited to read more Nora Roberts' series now that I have fallen in love with reading again. I hope to come back to the Quinns again someday too!

This was an amazing series! I loved the bond these brothers shared despite not being related by blood. I was also for each of them to meet their matches! I can't recommend this series enough for those who loved swoon worthy men and the strong women who are their equals!

Sea Swept - 3/5 - I read this a long time ago and tried to re-read it. I was honestly surprised at how hard it was, given that I thought I'd really liked it last time. Not so much the second time through. So in a change of pace, it is three heroes that drive the trilogy, rather than heroines. Cameron is a reckless boat racer, whoring it all over Europe and then forced back to Bay area when his Dad dies. Then they inherit Seth - their Dad's adopted son and at last! a rebellious child (but we can see he really does have good heart and just wants to be loved, as all of Nora Robert's children do). And then Cameron starts putting the moves on the Social Worker and there is no other action here. No outside threat, no paranormal forces, just love, family bonding and whatever emotional issues each character has and those are the only sources of conflict. Oh and there is the mystery of where Seth came from, which while intriguing, is not enough to keep me going. Nora Roberts is just not a deep enough writer to pull this sort of story off well and keep me interested.

Rising Tides - 4/5 - Overall this wasn't my favorite series, but Ethan was my favorite character of all of the Quinn brothers. I like the quiet loner type with a lot of issues under the surface. Unfortunately I was disappointed in the romance part of this story. The chemistry wasn't all that great between Ethan and Grace and I'm never really a fan of the single mother characters in Nora Roberts books, because she makes them out to be too perfect as parents. And Seth, who started irritating me in the first book, continues to irritate me here. It's not that Seth is a bad character or anything, it's that Nora Roberts does not write well from the perspective of a child. I don't like how they turn out. But I give this 4 stars because I love Ethan and I'm so glad he worked through his problems and got his HEA (sort of).

Inner Harbor - 2/5 - My least favorite of the 3 so far. Phillip is a very materialistic hero, loving the finer things in life and always complaining about doing the mundane things with his family (you know, instead of living the high life and whoring it up in the city). Sybill is an okay heroine - she's got issues, but she's a lot more likable than Philip IMHO. And Seth of course...nothing has changed between the last book and this one. Nora Roberts still doesn't write kids very well.

I love this series so much. All the characters are charming and likable, and watching them become family and overcome traumatic pasts is genuinely the sweetest and best thing. I have such a soft spot for found family because I think that it’s beautiful that family can family can be more than blood! I love books that have the older characters become a older sibling to another because it makes the characters so sweet. (Also, partially because I always wished I had a older sister or brother growing up!!!) Admittedly I think the romance itself has a tendency to go a little fast and j think the men tend to push boundaries more than what I think is generally okay. There’s also a few scenes where the relationships seem to feel somewhat toxic and… generally not healthy so for that reason I did knock it down a star. (Like seriously Cam, the lady is working and told you she’s not interested! Back off!) But they do end up working it out!

Warnings though, this book has mentions of past child abuse, sexual abuse and well, trauma. I don’t think they ever write details that are too explicit, but man, I had to skip a few sentences because the thought of these horrible things just. I couldn’t stomach them.

8/20 edit: rereading and apparently ethans been in love with grace since HIGH SCHOOL? isn’t he like. 8 years older??? kinda creepy

Per her usual style Roberts wrote a great trilogy. I always know what to expect, but can't help getting caught up in the storyline. Its a nice read and a new setting for this triology. Classic Nora.

This is the first book of Nora Robert's that I remember reading. After this, I went back and read almost all of her books. This trilogy is from the guy's perspective. Very excellent!
