This is a lovely, captivating story about faith. Chamblee breathes life into the ancient scriptures, weaving a story that will strike the hearts of her readers with the power of belief and love. The characters are varied and developed, and youngsters will find themselves relating to them and their struggles with ease. But this story holds just as much power for adults. The chapters are filled with action and adventure, and one can't help but to keep reading to see what will happen next. The main characters are intricate, with complex thoughts and emotions, and their stories and strengths are revealed slowly, building up tension, until all is unveiled.

Relationships too develop slowly and realistically, and as is true in real life, sometimes, the characters themselves are the last to realize what is actually going on. The moment when they do is beautiful.

The "bad guys" strike genuine terror into your heart, and you will find yourself cheering along the "good guys" the whole way through.

A wonderful read for all ages, but particularly powerful for the younger crowd growing up in today's era. To learn about the extraordinary ways in which God can affect one's life is a lesson too often left unspoken and unheard. Chamblee imparts this to youngsters through characters that they will relate to and want to emulate.

Highly recommended.

I received this book in exchange for an honest review. I wasn't sure if this book would hold my attention because historical stories aren't normally the types of stories I enjoy. This book was incredibly entertaining and I think the idea of writing about the Tower of Babel was brilliant. There is a God-centered message through-out the book, but it's not overdone and doesn't become preachy. It's tough for an author to write such a balance that it can be enjoyed by those who believe in God and those who don't. I'm looking forward to the obvious sequel of this book as it ends on a slight cliffhanger. Get this book and enjoy!
