The first time I read this was over 20 years ago. I liked it quite a bit back then. I reread it a few times since then. There are some interesting themes the author explores. The importance of understaning how science is used for the betterment of mankind was quite relevant.

But there are big issues with the science used in the book. While I understand that it is for children, I would have liked the author to have considered things like gravity when he talks about an artificial moon.

Overall, it's fine if you don't think too much about the logic of the science used.
